The Empress was originally known as Queen Jiang. When Di Xin and Gu Changqing visited the Ancestral Tomb, she respectfully greeted the Imperial Preceptor and spoke of Di Xin's high regard for him. 23
Gu Changqing accepted her as his disciple and bestowed the Human Emperor Brush upon her, instructing her to serve Di Xin well. 23 During Gu Changqing's later seclusion, she advanced to the Primordial Golden Immortal realm. 24
