Yuri's Prediction: Black Nightmare's Final Target!

Over the next few days, Karen kept toying with the National Security Service.

He called out to them over the loudspeakers in shopping malls, suddenly splashed coffee on them in cafés, fired shots right beside them...

The National Security Service's agents were constantly on the move. Not only were they exhausted, but they had also suffered numerous injuries, with several agents getting hurt almost every day. Although the injuries were all minor, he was grinding the agency's reputation into the dirt.

Yuri and the lieutenant were talking in the office.

The lieutenant angrily slammed his cup onto the desk and roared, "What the hell is going on?! What is Black Nightmare playing at? He shows up every day, but we can't even catch a glimpse of him! It's been over ten days, and all we know is that he's a man!!!"

Yuri spoke wearily. He could work for three days and nights without sleeping, but all these days of running around, only to fail every single time, had put him under immense mental strain.

"I don't know either, but we can't let our guard down. Any lead could point to him."

Yuri had already encountered Karen three times, and each time, Karen had made a fool of him.

He had already lost three pistols.

The lieutenant said helplessly, "I know, but we only have so much energy. Over the past few days, we've collected at least ten photographs or sketches of Black Nightmare's face, and every face is different! How are we supposed to identify him?!!"

"The only other information we have is that he shows up every evening sometime between six and eight."

Yuri lowered his head and rubbed his temples. "I don't know either. We'll just have to keep investigating."

Seeing how exhausted Yuri looked, the lieutenant sighed. "Yuri, you need to get some rest. That's an order from the director. You can't keep going like this."

Yuri raised his head, his eyes blazing with anger. Not only had that bastard taken his guns, but he also called him "puppy" every time. He really couldn't stand it anymore!!

"I can still keep going. I'm going to catch him!"

He wasn't going to let such a good opportunity slip away. To protect his sister, he would catch Black Nightmare no matter what!

Karen was actually rather afraid of his sister, but Yuri didn't know that.

The lieutenant said helplessly, "I know you're determined, but you need to look after yourself too. The director wants you to get some proper rest, then resume the pursuit."

Yuri fell silent for a moment before nodding. "All right. I'll make sure to rest."

Looking at Yuri, the lieutenant couldn't help feeling a little wistful. He recalled the time he had asked the director about him.

"Director, why do you think so highly of Yuri?" the lieutenant had once asked.

The director had smiled. "Don't you think he's adorable? Young Yuri is just like a puppy. He's always full of enthusiasm."

"Let him get some rest, then send him back out on the hunt."

The lieutenant sighed. He understood what the director meant. Young as Yuri was, he really was efficient.

Perhaps that was the drive of youth...

"That's all for today's PE class. It's time to go home now. Be careful on your way home, children." Karen smiled at the twenty-nine children before him.

"Yes, sir! Goodbye, teacher!" The children of Class Two bowed to him in unison, then headed toward their classroom.

Once the playground was empty, Karen's expression grew troubled. "Hmm, I wonder if anyone in the National Security Service is smart enough to figure out my movements and the identifying features I've left for them."

"But it's so strange. Their technology is fairly advanced, so why aren't there any surveillance cameras?" Karen couldn't quite make sense of this world's technological development. Firearms were fairly advanced, and there were plenty of electronic devices, yet surveillance cameras were nowhere to be found.

"Honestly, I hope they can remember my face and find me from those features. Otherwise, this game of hide-and-seek is way too boring."

After playing for so many days, Karen was getting tired of it.

Every day, he fought a bunch of weaklings. Only Yuri could stir any interest in him.

He was Yor the Thorn Princess's younger brother, after all. He could really take a beating. His best record was withstanding four full punches from Karen before passing out.

His strength and speed were also quite good, on the same level as Twilight's. He had already reached the limits of what an ordinary person could achieve.

His weakness, however, was that he was far too green.

Karen didn't really feel like playing anymore either, so he decided to give them the false impression that he had withdrawn.

"Today's Friday. I'll toy with them for one more day, then head to the final location tomorrow... the aquarium. Can you figure it out, puppy... little mice?"

Yuri slept for an entire day, from five on Friday evening to five on Saturday evening.

"Ah, that felt great... Wait, the operation!!" Yuri quickly got dressed and headed to the National Security Service.

He hurried to the National Security Service, where he found the lieutenant with one arm in bandages.

"Lieutenant, what happened to you...?"

"Oh, Yuri... Ow, that hurts. As you can see, I broke my arm during last night's operation." The lieutenant had just tried to stand up to greet Yuri when he cried out in pain. "That bastard Black Nightmare smeared lubricant on the stairs. I tumbled all the way down from the third floor."

"Ow... That bastard! It's been ten days straight! What does he take the National Security Service for?!"

Yuri sat down beside the lieutenant, his anger burning even hotter.

What was a vicious criminal like Black Nightmare trying to achieve?

He had kept showing himself all this time, yet hadn't killed anyone.

This assassin had such a rotten personality!

Especially the way he treated him like a little puppy!!

"Phew..." Yuri calmed himself down and looked at the lieutenant, who was still grumbling beside him. "By the way, Lieutenant, what did Black Nightmare look like in his disguise this time?"

"Oh, a broad nose, big ears, a bald head... Oh, and a mole on the left side of his neck. I saw it while I was chasing him."

"A mole?" A sudden flash of inspiration struck Yuri. He quickly recalled the photographs and sketches he had seen before. "Lieutenant, hand me the old photographs and the map. I think I've got an idea!!"

"Oh! Really? Here!!" The lieutenant quickly handed over the materials on the desk.

Yuri rapidly flipped through them, each face Black Nightmare had worn flashing past his eyes.

Bang-

Yuri excitedly slapped the photographs onto the desk. "Just as I thought, Lieutenant."

He spread all the photographs and sketches across the desk. "Look. Although the mole is in a different place each time, every one of them has a mole somewhere. This has to be a feature of his real appearance!!"

"Disguises usually alter the face, but the neck is much harder to disguise. Turning your head to look around can easily tear the disguise, so our primary targets should be people with a mole on the left side of their neck!!"

The lieutenant was astonished by Yuri's powers of observation, but screening everyone with a mole on the left side of their neck would still be an enormous undertaking. It would take at least eight to ten days.

"But that amount of work..."

"No, we don't need to screen anyone. We just need to lie in wait!" Yuri laid the other thing he had requested from the lieutenant-the map-over the desk.

"Connect all the places where he's appeared, and you get this symbol-the Phoenix Organization's emblem!"

"That means the place where he'll appear today... is right here... the aquarium!!!"

The lieutenant pumped his one remaining fist. "Excellent! Let's report to the director right away and have him send agents over immediately!"

Yuri checked the time and shook his head. "No, it's already five twenty-one. There are only thirty-nine minutes until the time Black Nightmare starts appearing, and getting there from headquarters will take at least thirty-five minutes. I'm going ahead!"

Yuri ran straight out. "Lieutenant, I'll leave reporting to the director to you!"
