In the towering auditorium, elegant music accompanied the voice of the official at the front:
"Anya Forger of Cecil Academy, first year, Class Three, you are hereby awarded one star for saving a life."
"Richie Forger of Cecil Academy, first year, Class Three, you took first place in Eden's Good Voice. In accordance with the competition rules, you are hereby awarded one star in recognition of your achievement."
The students throughout the auditorium applauded the two children, and Becky even cheered:
"Anya! You're amazing! You're the first first-year to earn a star!"
A confident smile spread across Anya's little face, and she looked rather pleased with herself. "Becky, Anya's big brother is also the first first-year to earn a star!"
Standing beside Anya and Richie, Henry could not help praising them:
"Anya Forger, you are supremely, invincibly elegant! Richie Forger, you are simply cosmic divine dragon Alas-level, overwhelmingly invincible, super elegant!"
Si Ang watched from the side without saying a word. He merely exchanged a look with Richie, then gave him a thumbs-up.
Second Son, however, silently fumed nearby. They beat me to it!
In a corner, an old man with a snowy-white beard chuckled. "That's my apprentice for you-the first first-year to get a star!"
Old Swan scoffed at the two Forger children. "You won't be this lucky next time, boy!"
"Exactly, he just got lucky this time!" This was one of the invigilators from Richie's competition.
Old Swan shot them a venomous glare. "You bungled the job! You let that brat slip through the cracks and earn a star, and you still have the nerve to stand here blathering! Hmph!"
At Old Swan's words, the two fawning teachers instantly shrank back like frightened quails.
That evening, after they returned home from school, a little boy waved goodbye to
