Early the next morning, Yor arrived at Twilight's place with her few belongings.

"Is this all your luggage?" Twilight stepped out through the doorway like a gentleman and went over to help Yor carry her things.

Yor stood gracefully in front of her luggage, her cheeks flushed and her manner shy and reserved. "Yes, Mr. Loid."

After entering, Yor took her bedding out of a cardboard box. "Mr. Loid, about the bedroom..."

"Of course we'll have separate rooms," Twilight said. "If we have guests over, we can just pretend and bluff our way through!"

Yor blushed again. "Y-yes, of course."

Perhaps Yor had been looking forward to sleeping in the same room as Twilight, too!

Anya ran over, waving her short little arms. "Welcome to Anya's home."

Yor nodded slightly, bending down at the knees and waist. "I look forward to getting along with you, Miss Anya."

Anya pattered over on her little legs, dragged Richie off the sofa where he was sleeping in, and brought him before Yor.

"Mother, this is Anya's big brother, Richie. Richie is very hardworking. He sleeps every day!"

Yor covered her mouth and laughed. "Haha."

Twilight and Anya had dragged Richie out of bed first thing that morning, leaving him seriously short on sleep.

Now, dragging along his awake body and sleeping soul, he greeted Yor with a slightly weary face. "Welcome to Anya's home."

After saying that, Richie shuffled back to the sofa like a zombie, his head and arms drooping, and went back to sleep.

Richie looked exactly like a schoolkid who had spent all night catching up on homework.

A little worried about his health, Yor wanted to go over and check on him. "Anya, what's wrong with Richie? Is he all right?"

Anya tugged on Yor's clothes. "Mother, don't worry about my brother. He's always like this. He sleeps every day."

Yor smiled. "All right!"

Anya kept waving her arms excitedly. "Anya's mother has arrived. So awesome."

Yor was still a little dazed. "Mother..."

Twilight poked his head out of Yor's new room. "Oh, one more thing. I asked a judge I know to help change our marriage date to a year ago." It was actually forged.

"We can work out why we've been living apart until now, and what to tell your brother, in a little while!"

Yor smiled. "All right, understood."

Richie lay half-dead on the sofa. "Thanks, Mophead." For the forgery.

Twilight hadn't heard him clearly, and neither Yor nor Anya knew why Richie was suddenly thanking Mophead. They all assumed he was dreaming again.

Twilight thought getting married just before the exam would definitely arouse suspicion.

Yor thought, The manager has already approved it. Now I can relax.

Anya's big, round eyes widened. So exciting, so exciting.

Richie lounged lazily on the sofa. This family of three is finally complete. Now I can finally watch the three of them put on their little act here. Hehehe.

A father, a mother, a daughter, and a son-the four of them had formed a fake family for their own interests. Concealing their true identities from one another, they began living together under the same roof.

While Anya showed Yor around, Twilight brought in all of Yor's luggage.

Yor switched into high-speed assassin mode and tidied up everything in her room in a flash.

Once everything was put away, Twilight prepared to begin a mock interview with the whole family.

The cookies were set out. Richie drank milk tea [Note 1], Anya had cocoa, and Twilight had black coffee. The family of four enjoyed a cozy moment together.

"You made these cookies yourself?" Yor asked in surprise.

"Actually, this is my first time making this kind of cookie, too," Twilight said sincerely. "I just followed the recipe. They look pretty good, so I hope you like them."

Yor eagerly picked one up to try. "Then I'll help myself."

If Yor stood on ceremony any longer, Richie and Anya, those two foodies who were wolfing down cookies without a care for anyone else, would finish them all.

After eating one, Yor's eyes lit up. "They're delicious! You're such a good cook!"

"You're too kind." Twilight smiled, his eyes narrowing.

Richie marveled inwardly, clicking his tongue in admiration. A man like Papa Twilight had a great figure, good looks, excellent cooking skills, a gentle and considerate nature, and a steady income. He was practically the perfect partner.

Yor was so lucky. She could just pick up a great man like him off the street.

Anya raised her little hand. "Anya helped, too."

Anya had secretly mixed a little snot into the flour for the cookies, making it nice and easy to knead. Clean and sanitary.

Twilight exposed her without hesitation. "You just got flour all over yourself and made more work for me. Other than sneaking peanuts, you didn't do anything."

After saying that, Twilight helplessly took a sip of black coffee.

Anya froze, deeply displeased. "Father, Richie didn't do anything at all! Anya... Anya..."

Anya's pupils contracted sharply. Don't I have any dignity?

Richie let out a burp and patted his full belly. "That flour was all dodgy food science and nasty tricks."

Yor smiled knowingly. Nothing quite like a father's own roast.

Twilight swallowed a mouthful of coffee. "Richie... it's fine if Richie doesn't do anything."

Twilight picked up the questions he had prepared, slicked his hair back, and put on his glasses. "Now that we've had a break, let's get started!"

"Eden Academy is the country's top elite school. Its interviews assess not only the children but their parents as well. Family background and level of refinement are all within the scope of the assessment. Understood?"

Twilight spoke with solemn seriousness, then glanced at Richie. "Richie, on the day of the interview, you can't slump around like you do at home. Sit properly, keep your back straight, and don't let your eyes wander."

At Twilight's instruction, Richie flashed his pearly whites in a smile. "Understood, Father."

Twilight nodded. "Then let's begin the questions. First question: please tell me your name and address."

Anya stammered, "Anya F-Forger."

Richie continued after her. "Apartment 103, Fliptown Gardens, Fliptown Street."

Anya looked confused. "Brother, where's that? Our address?"

Twilight prompted her. "It means here."

"Anya's home-is Apartment 103, Fliptown Gardens, Fliptown Street?"

Twilight let out a faint sigh. "That's not what I meant... and it isn't Fliptown Street, either..."

"All right, Anya, next question. What do you do on your days off?"

Anya sat perfectly straight and told the truth. "Father orders me to stay home and watch the house like a good girl, so I watch cartoons at home all alone."

Unable to bear looking at Anya, Twilight turned to Richie instead. "Then, Richie, what do you do at night?"

Richie's eyes lit up. "At night, Richie treats mental illness with Father,

"Then..."

[Note 1] Milk tea originated during China's Yuan dynasty and has a history of over a thousand years. Spy × Family is set in the sixties or seventies, so the author will assume for now that they have milk tea there. ε=ε=ε=(~ ̄▽ ̄)~
