Twilight landed stylishly, with Richie tucked under one arm.
Anya's cheerful little voice rang out from high in the castle. "Loidman-"
"If you want to save Princess Anya, come and get her! Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh..." Mophead shouted arrogantly at Twilight.
Twilight landed stylishly, facing a sea of agents dressed in black.
One of his fellow agents exclaimed at his landing, "So cool!"
Richie was tucked under Twilight's arm. Surely it was perfectly normal for a psychiatrist to take on an entire organization single-handedly!
"Father, charge!" At Richie's shout, Twilight's eyes blazed with determination as he readied himself to spring into action.
A row of jelly bean launchers fired human-sized jelly beans with a series of bangs.
With Richie under his arm, Twilight dodged nimbly, like a lightning-fast cheetah.
A spotlight shone on them, and both Twilight and Richie shielded their eyes with their hands to protect them.
At that very instant, thanks to disciplined, organized coordination, a colleague in black took the lead and became the first to engage Twilight.
With Richie encumbering him, Twilight nearly took a hit.
Richie yelled, "Waaah!" in sheer excitement.
A giant, live-action Fall Guys event. The company really did have money.
Twilight powered through obstacle after obstacle, thrashing his teammates in an organizational training session and professional skills assessment. Elegant. Utterly elegant.
Behind him, a colleague he had knocked down lay on the ground admiring his dashing silhouette, even remembering to say, "Amazing."
Anya waved her little hands, beside herself with excitement. "Loidman is so cool."
Mophead refused to give up. He swore he would defeat Twilight. "The fun has only just begun! Heh, heh, heh."
Just as Twilight reached Anya, she moved on to the next location and pretended she had been kidnapped again:
"Oh no! Help me."
Even Twilight couldn't help grumbling, "What a hassle."
At the very top of the castle, Anya held a microphone and called out, "Loidman, hurry! Anya's over here."
Richie surveyed their surroundings. This felt straight out of Jackie Chan Adventures.
The colleagues in black showed their idol no mercy whatsoever, firing candy-coated shells at Twilight with an endless series of bangs.
Twilight swayed from side to side with Richie tucked under his arm, dodging with all sorts of difficult maneuvers and leaving Richie's head spinning.
Not a single one of his colleagues' candy-coated shells hit Twilight. Richie couldn't help awarding them a title: Human Outline Master.
After all, it was perfectly normal for a psychiatrist to know a few evasive moves to dodge his patients.
Was their marksmanship instructor Logger Vick? How could they never hit Twilight?
With Richie under his arm, Twilight flipped over, took out two colleagues, and snatched two guns.
Bang, bang, bang! Twilight turned the tables, shooting the colleagues opposite him down.
Richie held a gun too. Since they were toy guns, Twilight felt safe letting him play with one.
Up above, Anya leaned against a window and watched the scene unfold. "You're so cool, Father."
Mophead didn't forget to encourage his minions. "Keep it up, minions! Don't lose!"
Yor's cheeks were flushed, and she hadn't let go of the bottle in her hand the entire time.
"Loid, get shot! Get shot!"
Just as Mophead cried out, practically asking for trouble, Twilight hit a colleague in black on the chin. The blow made the man accidentally discharge his jelly bean gun, sending a string of jelly beans flying into the air.
Twilight calculated their trajectories precisely and shot those huge jelly beans, giving them another burst of energy and accelerating them toward Mophead.
Before Explosionshead realized what was happening, the jelly beans indiscriminately struck his big face.
Explosionshead was knocked straight to the ground. Clutching his battered cheek, he raged, "You've got some nerve, Loidman! Don't think you can catch us that easily."
Explosionshead drove the cable car away, while Twilight traveled between the castle buildings by zip line.
The dashing Twilight undid his belt with one hand to use on the zip line, keeping Richie tucked under his other arm. Richie shouted excitedly in midair.
Halfway across, the props crew set off a bomb. Twilight sailed through the explosion, looking impossibly cool.
"So cool! Loidman, hurry and save me." Anya clutched the microphone in her little hands.
As they traveled through the explosions, Richie wondered about one thing: how did his father, Twilight, take off his belt without his trousers falling down in midair?
As everyone knew, Twilight's entire family possessed astonishing quick-change abilities. The instant Twilight landed, he had even buckled his belt again.
Richie couldn't help admiring him. Elegant. Elegant. Utterly elegant.
Even Jackie Chan wouldn't dare try that. There was only one thing to say: professional stunt, do not attempt.
"Oh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh. You've got some skills, haven't you, Loidman?" Explosionshead flailed menacingly. "Don't think you can rescue the princess."
"Save me, Loidman-" Anya shouted happily.
Earl Mophead's personal guards-Loid's colleagues-filed onto the scene.
Under everyone's gaze, the devoted father's cheeks flushed red.
Twilight lowered his head, cringing so hard his toes could have dug out an entire apartment. You want me to perform this humiliating scene in front of every agent here?
But for the mission...
Twilight gritted his teeth and said, utterly mortified, "G-give the princess back to me."
Whispers instantly rippled through the crowd. "We actually get to see Mr. Twilight acting in person."
Mophead let out a sinister laugh. Like a Thanksgiving jack-o'-lantern, he radiated evil from head to toe.
"Fool! Do you think I'd just hand her back?" Explosionshead continued to tempt fate.
After Mophead finished his sinister laughter, Yor leaped out and landed gracefully in front of Twilight.
Swaying from side to side, her cheeks bright red, Yor strutted forward with a catwalk gait.
Mophead shouted, "Go! Mightiest witch, Yor Ticia! Tear that man limb from limb."
Twilight looked incredulous. "There are witches too? What kind of nonsensical setting is this?"
Richie quickly darted aside. The place instantly turned into a full-scale domestic violence scene, complete with Yor's swaggering, utterly merciless gait and an extraordinarily powerful kick.
Twilight nearly died.
Husband and wife traded blows, with Yor, the absolute pinnacle of combat prowess-no, the drunken Thorn Princess-making her appearance.
Just as Twilight was about to lose, unable to match Yor, she suddenly lay down on the ground and fell asleep like a baby.
Explosionshead flailed and shouted, "You won't get past my stage so easily, Loi-"
Before Franky could finish, Twilight knocked him down with a single punch.
"Waku waku! So exciting." Anya's little face was flushed red.
Twilight felt as though he could hear his own heartbeat. "I-I've come to save you, Princess Anya."
"Father-" Anya rushed over and hugged Twilight's leg.
At some point, Richie had come over too. He hugged Twilight and said calmly, "Father, you're amazing. You're my idol."
Twilight was at a loss. So his role was supposed to be their father?
The lights went out, and dazzling fireworks kept bursting above the castle.
Everyone shouted, "Congratulations, Anya and Richie-"
Amid the fireworks, Richie tugged at the hem of Twilight's clothes. "Father, the Westalis Intelligence Agency is coming. Let's go home!"
Twilight was horrified. What!!!!
