Before Richie could react, Anya had already pulled him off the bench.
The bench was a little high, and Richie nearly fell.

Anya dragged Richie over to Corn Head's side.
Her imposing air scared Corn Head into springing off his seat. "W-what are you doing? Are you going to hit someone again?"

Chestnut Head also darted out from behind Damian, cutting Anya off as he pointed at Richie and roared fiercely, "If you hadn't caught him off guard, Master Damian would never have lost to you-"

"Both of you, shut up," Damian said flatly. With his back to Richie and Anya, he lightly touched the wound on his face.
Corn Head asked in confusion, "Master Damian, are you going to scold her yourself?"
Damian moved past Corn Head and Chestnut Head, taking a step forward toward Anya.
Richie grew wary and nudged Anya behind him protectively, his gaze hostile.
