Becky sat down beside Anya with her tray. Seeing Anya staring into space, she glanced at Anya's omurice. "Your food looks weird?"
Anya held her knife and fork, her face ashen, her eyes filled with nothing but guilt and hurt.
She was going to apologize to Second Son, and no one could stop her this time.
Just then, Second Son made a grand entrance into the cafeteria with his two little lackeys.
Anya's eyes lit up when she saw him. "I'm going to apologize."
Becky grabbed the hem of Anya's little skirt, looking displeased. "You don't have to! They were the ones in the wrong first."
A table separated Richie from Anya. He quietly took out the sunflower seeds he had prepared in his pocket.
Sian Evan was clearly still angry, but Richie paid him no mind.
Richie had already spotted his dear old dad standing in a corner of the cafeteria, blending into the background, and couldn't help snickering.
Si Ang finally couldn't take it anymore. "What exactly are you laughing at?"
"Huh?" Richie abruptly stopped cracking sunflower seeds and hurriedly suppressed his laughter.
He quietly portioned out some seeds for Si Ang. "If I said I was laughing so happily because these sunflower seeds taste so good, would you believe me?"
Si Ang gave him a look that said, Take a guess. Do you think I'd believe you?
Richie looked back at Si Ang, completely unabashed, wearing an expression that said, Guess whether I think you believe me.
While the two were locked in a tense standoff, Twilight Dad had run out of patience. He had to get those two little brats out of the way.
Twilight leaped away and left the cafeteria.
The Head Chef chased after Twilight, shouting behind him, "New guy, where are you going?"
