"Crunch, crunch." Richie and Anya sat side by side, chewing their breakfast.
Having missed out on any juicy gossip last night, Anya looked a little aggrieved, her fried-egg eyes still not quite cooked.
Richie struggled to swallow his breakfast. The fish stewed with shiitake mushrooms really was rather awful.
Noticing that Anya was in a bad mood, Yor comforted her. "You'll get to see him again soon, Anya!"
Anya said nothing. Richie only heard his dad muttering inwardly, Can I really let my guard down?
Yor Blair, the older sister of a secret agent. There's nothing suspicious in her background, and she doesn't seem to know who her brother really is.
My instincts say there's nothing wrong with her. Besides, if she knew her brother worked for the State Security Service, she probably wouldn't worry about being suspected just because she wasn't married.
Richie struggled to swallow a mouthful of food, inwardly griping about his dad:
Mom's just an assassin. What could possibly be suspicious about an assassin's background? The most suspicious thing about her should be those two massive slaps that sent Yuri, a secret agent, flying.
There was one thing Richie simply couldn't understand: how did his Twilight Dad manage to eat, laugh and chat with his family, and still have so much going on inside his head?
His dear old dad wore a warm, friendly expression and a radiant smile, but inwardly, he kept overthinking:
No, jumping to that conclusion would be too hasty. She might have been acting from the start, all to get close to me.
Richie's brow furrowed even deeper. He nearly blurted out:
Dad, who noticed whom first back then?!
You were clearly the one who noticed Mom first, and now you're saying she deliberately approached you? More like you deliberately approached her.
