The Black Funeral Bell carried Lu Feng through nineteen restrictions and dropped him at Hell’s entrance, where he found a stone road that might lead back to the Primordial Continent. He followed it through a desolate land and a strange sea of red flowers, sensing that the exit was near.
Lu Feng reached the cave exit and studied its nine runes, learning to imitate the qi and auras of different races. After nearly a year memorizing their transformations, he left the cave able to switch between nine borrowed auras and his own Human Race aura.
After escaping Hell, Lu Feng traveled southwest toward the Kunlun Immortal Realm and hid at Hell’s boundary when he encountered a battle. Watching demons blast zombies and skeletons into the deadly deathly energy, he realized the Abyss was too chaotic to cross without learning more about the situation.
Lu Feng watched a devastating war among the Demon Race and captured a wounded Heavenly Demon Sect cultivator to learn about the Abyss. After interrogating him, Lu Feng obtained a map showing the locations of Hell, the Blood Sea, and the major sects.
Lu Feng forced a Heavenly Demon Sect golden immortal to explain the Abyss demon realm and the war between Blood Charm Ancestor and Qiongtian Ancestor. As Lu Feng considered how to escape the conflict, the golden immortal suggested that someone had secretly engineered the war.
Lu Feng learned that the Demon Realm’s war might be driven by a hidden killer of the Black Tortoise Venerable, but decided the conflict had little to do with him. After discovering how Heavenly Demon Sect cultivators were identified, he left the cave to brave the battlefield, warning the injured Golden Immortal that the area was unsafe.
Lu Feng fled the battlefield while studying the Blood Fiend Race's concealment technique and disguising his aura to avoid attacks. He saw two powerful sect leaders clash before another enemy targeted him.
Lu Feng fled across the battlefield while a powerful young disciple of the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect pursued him as prey. The disciple closed in despite Lu Feng’s efforts, leaving Lu Feng to unleash the Greased-Soles Cultivation Technique and race away.
Lu Feng fled the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect's sect master's youngest disciple, but his pursuer toyed with him throughout a daylong chase. The disciple finally caught Lu Feng and struck him down, then unleashed a deadly poison attack over the crater.
Lu Feng survived the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect disciple’s Toad Purgatory and turned the attempted execution into a counterattack. After revealing that the poison could not harm him, he fought back with the Embroidered Sword and multiple disguises, then charged his opponent as an Immortal Race cultivator.
Lu Feng discovered that poison arts could not easily harm him, but the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect master's youngest disciple overwhelmed him with immense true qi. As the disciple pressed his attack and Lu Feng's body neared its limit, Lu Feng roared that he would not die and unleashed a sudden surge of true qi.
Lu Feng broke through to the golden immortal realm under pressure from the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect master's youngest disciple, then defeated him and captured the Five-Colored Jade Toad. When more than a dozen Ten Thousand Poisons Sect Daluo golden immortals arrived, Lu Feng hurled the unconscious young master away and escaped.
After recovering from his injuries and reaching full-attainment Golden Immortal, Lu Feng traveled west through the Abyss toward Deadwater and the Kunlun Immortal Realm. At Deadwater, he spotted a mysterious pillar in the distance and headed southeast toward a Ten Thousand Poisons Sect outpost.
Lu Feng raided the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect, using stealth, clones, and the Rusty Sword to slaughter its defenders and plunder its goods. He left the survivors with a warning for the sect master's youngest disciple and thanked him for the Jade Toad.
Lu Feng continued raiding Ten Thousand Poisons Sect outposts while making the True Dragon Territory blame Sun Jiuyang, then infiltrated a heavily guarded auxiliary palace disguised as a Rotten-Face Tribe slave. Just as he reached the palace with an ore convoy, a golden immortal ordered the slaves to uncover their faces.
Lu Feng, disguised as Sun Jiuyang, stormed the Ten Thousand Poisons Sect’s heavily defended palace after his attempt to enter among the slaves was exposed. He killed several cultivators and looted the palace, but a Quasi-Saint’s aura appeared as he tried to escape.
Lu Feng was captured by Plague Miasma Patriarch, who met with Green Wood to discuss their master’s predictions about the war between Blood Charm Ancestor and Qiongtian Ancestor. The chapter ended with Plague Miasma Patriarch asking whether Green Wood’s master had killed Black Tortoise Venerable.
Lu Feng overheard Green Wood and the Plague Miasma Patriarch discuss the Black Tortoise Venerable’s death and their dealings, then watched Green Wood turn nearly ten thousand Blood Slaves into pills. Green Wood took Lu Feng away to refine him into a Blood Slave.
Green Wood brought Lu Feng to the Demon God Pool and fed it the blood pills made from the blood slaves. After the pool devoured them, Green Wood threw Lu Feng into it as well.
Green Wood threw Lu Feng into a pool to feed its terrifying demon, and Lu Feng was dragged toward the bottom with no way to escape. When the demon attacked, the Rusty Sword and Bronze Sword protected him, and another, even more terrifying Demon Howl erupted from a pitch-black mass before him.
The pitch-black thing overwhelmed the demon and drove him to unleash a final attack at Lu Feng, then let him escape to save Lu Feng. After recovering in the pool, Lu Feng left the devastated area and fled southwest, abandoning thoughts of revenge and focusing on escaping the Abyss.
Lu Feng traveled across the Primordial Continent toward the Kunlun Immortal Realm and discovered that the distant pillar was Buzhou Mountain. Meanwhile, Chen Yang fought his way through the Divine Beast Stairway to its final level, where he faced an intelligent clone as strong as himself.
Lu Feng was trapped in the deep pool until the pitch-black thing protected him and fought the demon. After devouring the pool’s remaining essence and life force, the pitch-black thing overpowered the demon and pursued it.
Lu Feng entered a valley scarred by an ancient battle and used his divine sense to witness the Five Sacred Mountains Immortal King fight a peerless swordsman. He recognized the swordsman’s final strike as the Dog-Slaying Sword Technique taught by his Slovenly Master, and the chapter ended as a white-haired young man approached him.
Lu Feng met the White-Haired Man, who recognized his sword art as the Returning Origin Sword and told him the Sword Martial Venerable was at Sword Finger Peak for an approaching discourse on the Dao. After traveling through Buzhou Mountain for nearly two months, Lu Feng discovered a vast valley filled with soaring sword intent and flew toward it.
