After curing the emperor and receiving Tang Wutian’s letter, he agreed to help Crown Prince Qing Ya stabilize Tingxiang and gained command of the Imperial Family’s resources.

• Tang Yan obtained the herbs for the Divine Soul Pill, finished refining it despite Ye Qiong’s attack, and killed Ye Qiong for nearly ruining Lin Dongxue’s lifesaving medicine.
• Tang Yan revived Lin Dongxue, and Lin Dongxue and Wan Fei chose to join the Artifact Pavilion after the elders identified their unusual cultivation abilities.

Tang Yan took control of the Heavenly Soldier Pavilion, purged its traitors, and transformed its forces and alchemists while building Reach the Summit into a profitable pill business. As the Imperial Family gained ground, the Left Chancellor’s allies and the Immortal-Gathering Palace plotted against Tang Yan, who left the palace and infiltrated his pursuers.

• Qing Xuan appointed Tang Yan Imperial Throne Guest Official and gave him authority over the Heavenly Soldier Pavilion’s three forces, while Tang Yan arranged for the Imperial Family to receive a share of Reach the Summit’s profits.
• Tang Yan exposed and eliminated spies in the Heavenly Secrets Pavilion, Imperial Pill Pavilion, and Imperial Guards, then imposed intensive training on the guards and alchemists.
• Tang Yan demonstrated that rigorous practice could improve alchemy, and Du Shu took charge of opening Reach the Summit’s pill shop with the Imperial Pill Pavilion’s masters.

After surviving an assassination attempt, Tang Yan rallied allies, dismantled the Left Chancellor’s power, and entered the Northern Spirit Realm. There he found Mingyou Valley threatening Xiao Buyu and intervened in the fight over a Thunderclap Leopard cub.

• Tang Yan escaped Qin Shi’s attack but was gravely wounded, prompting Zi Yun, Yu Juechen, and Du Shu to demand an investigation and threaten consequences for the Imperial Family.
• The Heaven-Earth Creation Cauldron healed Tang Yan and raised his cultivation, while Yu Juechen reached the Heaven Tier and secured support from the Rakshasa Gate and Purple Bamboo City.
• Du Shu formed an alliance between Reach the Summit and the Wonderful Elixir Workshop, and Wu Xuan recognized Tang Yan as her old friend.
• Tang Yan trained in the Azure Fire Thunder Formation, investigated the Xu and Chu Families, and persuaded Xu Chuan to return to the Imperial Family’s side.

Tang Yan secured the Xiao Lineage’s support, improved his cultivation, and treated Lan Guiwei’s wife before establishing a pill business in Southern Wilderness City. His companions joined him, and Du Shu turned Reach the Summit Pill Shop’s opening into a sellout despite Myriad Pill Hall’s challenge.

• Tang Yan helped the Xiao Lineage defeat Mingyou Valley’s fighters, captured Ming Kunshan, and secured Xiao Buyu’s help receiving arrivals from the Fragrance-Hearing Kingdom.
• Tang Yan trained against the Earth-Entangling Flood Dragon until he reached Heaven Tier Ninth Grade, then rescued Qianyun Chen on his way to Southern Wilderness City.
• Tang Yan treated Lan Guiwei’s wife with acupuncture to expel her fire poison and prescribed further treatment for her recovery.
• Tang Yan bought a medicinal herb shop and won Gao Jin’s cloth shop, then framed the Gao Family for Ming Kunshan’s humiliation after both shops burned.
