The realm’s first trial paired contestants in a shrinking battle royale, and the survivors were sent to qualify for the inheritance by crossing the Sword-Climbing Platform.

• Bai Feiyu subdued Zhou Sheng and Questioning Sword Peak’s disciples, while Dongxu Zi recognized him as a possible successor to the sect leadership.
• Ouyang questioned Ling Feng about Lin Feng, and Ling Feng swore to destroy his escaped Heart Demon within ten years.
• Ouyang and his companions bound Tai'a, took his sword, and forced him to sign an IOU before he led them toward Sword-Forging City as rogue cultivators.
• Ouyang met the forgetful Dao Treasure dachshund, named it Liang Zai, and discovered that it could amplify his True Qi.

Ouyang uncovered the history of Li Taibai’s sword and altered Ou Yezi’s past before returning to find Leng Qingsong possessed by the sword spirit. Leng Qingsong inherited Li Taibai’s Dao and absorbed the Immortal Secret Realm, while Ouyang left with Zhao Qiansun after Tai’a took responsibility for the dead.

• Ouyang learned that the blue-green-robed man was Li Taibai’s former friend and the sword’s spirit, then gained control of the Immortal Small World and uncovered the man’s plan to reopen the Immortal Path.
• Ouyang entered a vision of the past, became Ouyezi, and changed Ou Yezi’s relationship with Li Taibai before witnessing Li Taibai’s sacrifice against the Immortals.
• Ouyang returned to the Sword-Climbing Platform and found Leng Qingsong possessed by the blood-red sword spirit, then helped him regain control and confronted Ou Yezi inside the sword.

After Hu Yun vanished while protecting the peak, Ouyang reached Foundation Establishment and Little Mountain Peak faced the loss of its peak designation.

• Ouyang secured the Sword-Questioning Pool for Leng Qingsong’s training, while Zhao Qiansun refused to join either the Azure Cloud Sect or the Sword Sect and Ou Yezi returned as a bluebird to Bai Feiyu.
• Chen Changsheng challenged Ling Feng’s harsh elimination rules, and Ling Feng revealed his intent to kill the Devil Race remnant within Zu Yuan’s dead body.
• Hu Yun returned to Little Mountain Peak, welcomed his disciples, and rejected Xiao Feng, explaining to Ouyang that the boy needed to forge his own path.
• Hu Yun confessed that changing fate had cost him his life and that he had hoped to guide his disciples toward good futures, then Xiao Feng left the peak with Ma Xingye.

Ouyang became Acting Peak Master of Little Mountain Peak while Chen Changsheng pursued a dangerous plan involving Zu Yuan’s remains and Ling Feng tried to influence him. Ouyang then took Hu Tutu to Penglai Immortal Mountain, where Mu Yunge offered access to its Dao Treasure in exchange for solving Penglai’s problem.

• Ouyang secured the cancellation of Little Mountain Peak’s debts and became Acting Peak Master while he and Dongxu Zi privately grieved Hu Yun.
