• Mu Yunge told Ouyang that the Artifact Ancestor’s Divine Soul had possessed Mu Yunhai, and Ouyang brought Bai Feiyu and Chen Changsheng to help at Penglai Immortal Mountain.
• Bai Feiyu used the Heaven-Measuring Ruler against Liang Zai, triggering a Dao Resonance that awakened Penglai’s Immortal-Suppressing Dao Treasure in the form of a giant suona.
• Ouyang, Bai Feiyu, and Chen Changsheng entered the suona and confronted the Artifact Ancestor, while Chen Changsheng’s formation drew out the Immortal’s True Spirit.

Ouyang confronted his past, helped his fellow disciples advance, and prepared Little Mountain Peak for his absence. After Dongxu Zi sent his soul to Thousand Sand Valley, Ouyang arrived in the Nine Hells and met Hui Zhi among the Flowers of the Other Shore.

• Hu Tutu survived her tribulation and entered the Nascent Soul Realm while Ouyang and the assembled cultivators watched over her.

Ouyang journeyed through the Nine Hells, learned how Hu Yun and Li Taibai had shaped its fate, and discovered that Hu Yun had arranged for Ouyang to replace him. Ouyang rejected that sacrifice and built a refuge for Divine Souls beneath the Sky-Piercing Giant Pillar.

• Ouyang and Hui Zhi crossed the Sea of Flowers, defeated the Lord of the River of Forgetfulness, and climbed Mount Naihe, where Ouyang exposed the Heart Cloud’s illusion.
• Ouyang confronted Li Taibai’s phantom and joined Xian Yi on a visit to the Sword-Forging Clan, where he resolved to continue Li Taibai’s unfinished work without accepting the Immortals’ rule.
• The Old Clan Leader told Ouyang how Hu Yun’s master had brought order to the Nine Hells and revealed that Ouyang would have to erase Hu Yun’s name to write his own.
• Ouyang realized Hu Yun had planned his sacrifices to keep Ouyang in the world, but refused to accept the cost and stopped himself from destroying the Sky-Piercing Giant Pillar.
• Ouyang recognized that he had to make his own choices, then dragged the Heart Cloud beneath the pillar and shaped it into a modern city with Mu Yunhai’s Life-Bound Dream.
• Ouyang declared the city a refuge where Divine Souls were equal and no Immortal would be worshipped, then assigned the Sword-Forging Clan to serve as its Urban Management Brigade.

Chen Changsheng claimed the Myriad Laws Sect’s inheritance and returned to find Ouyang unconscious, while Leng Qingsong later entered the Nine Hells to search for him. The arc ended as Leng Qingsong succumbed to the trials until Ouyang appeared before him.

• Ouyang named the city Fengdu, and Hui Zhi swore not to become a Buddha until the Nine Hells were empty before giving the newborn city Dark-Yellow Qi.
• Chen Changsheng entered the Myriad Laws Sect, revealed his formation mastery to Zhang Zixiang, and won permission to enter the Forbidden Land and view the sect’s Dao Treasure.
• Chen Changsheng defeated the Array Ancestor Zhen in the Runic Gate, possessed his Immortal Remains, and was named the Myriad Laws Sect’s Ninth-Generation Sect Master Successor.
• Chen Changsheng returned to Azure Cloud Sect and demanded answers about Ouyang, setting a ten-year deadline for Ouyang’s return from the Nine Hells.
• Leng Qingsong emerged from seclusion, stopped the elders from punishing Chen Changsheng, and joined him and Bai Feiyu in caring for Ouyang and comforting Hu Tutu.
• After a year, Leng Qingsong left for Thousand Sand Valley, while Chen Changsheng stayed on Little Mountain Peak to take responsibility for it.
