Chu Xingchen returned to the Heavenly Derivation Sect after Bai Xuanling drove off Xu Linglong and Baibo, then learned how the Great Calamity and her lost loved ones shaped her killing intent. He entered Bai Xuanling’s Sea of Consciousness to confront the memories and Xuanle, the inner demon that could take control of her, and learned that not everyone from her memories was present.

• Xu Linglong and Baibo attacked Chu Xingchen, but Bai Xuanling arrived, cut off Xu Linglong’s hand, and drove the demons away with her Finality strike.
• Bai Xuanling explained that she had suppressed her cultivation because the path to ascension was severed, then rejected Chu Xingchen’s attempt to make her his disciple and ordered him to call her Grandmaster.
• Chu Xingchen brought his group to the Heavenly Derivation Sect, where Yan Yun showed them their prepared peak and agreed to ask Lü Xuan to rename it A Loving Family Peak.
• Green Snake broke through to Golden Core, took human form, and revealed his name was Yun Li, while Cui Hao also completed his breakthrough and initially refused to believe the truth.
• Lü Xuan and the Grand Elders resealed Bai Xuanling’s cultivation, and Lü Xuan told Chu Xingchen how the Great Calamity killed Bai Xuanling’s sister, master, friends, and peers, driving her to embrace wrath and killing intent.
• Chu Xingchen entered Bai Xuanling’s Sea of Consciousness through Myriad Forms, where he met Xuanle, the echo of Bai Xuanling’s younger sister and an inner demon who could take over her body.

Chu Xingchen discovered that the Buddhist Sect had failed to protect the Western Ox-He Continent and led the three great sects there to fight demons and challenge Buddhist authority. As the campaign spread, Bai Xuanling entered a hidden realm alone, Wukong crossed the Pudu River with Buddhist cultivators, and the story left several groups still operating amid the devastation.

• Chu Xingchen returned from Bai Xuanling’s Sea of Consciousness, then watched memories of her and Bai Xuanle as Li Yingling defeated Li Xingtian in a spar.
• Wukong took Winter Melon to an aged monk to disguise her karma, but Chu Xingchen later exposed her demonic ties and pierced her with Myriad Forms before she escaped.
• Xu Jin found Lychee wounded in besieged Huangliang City, learned that the Buddhist Sect had failed to respond to the demon-beast crisis, and sent Jing Qing to report to Chu Xingchen.
• Chu Xingchen gathered the Heavenly Derivation Sect, the Profound Clarity Heavenly Sect, and the Great Dao Sect, then arrived at Huangliang City and led the coalition into the Western Ox-He Continent.
• Yan Yun and the allied sects attacked Buddhist temples that had refused to help refugees, while Chu Xingchen and Xu Jin opened a Secret Realm beneath the Endless Sea with Xu Jin’s blood.

Chu Xingchen defended Chen Baiqing and backed Guangming Buddha’s spreading Mahayana Buddhism while the three sects pursued Xu Linglong. Li Xingtian anticipated an ambush in Yuzhou City, where Xu Linglong began preparing to lure Chu Xingchen through Yuankong.

• Bai Xuanling identified a tomb formation that had gathered blood qi and spiritual power to potentially resurrect a dead cultivator.
• Li Junzi reached Right Sound Dharma Temple, where Chu Xingchen wounded the old monk and secured his apology for questioning Chen Baiqing’s nature.
• Chu Xingchen sent Wukong to persuade Guangming Buddha to spread Mahayana Buddhism and dismantle the Buddhist Sect from within.
• Huang Miao and Bai Xuanling blocked the Buddhist procession at the Pudu River before Ru Nan crossed with three Karma Buddhas after negotiating with Chu Xingchen.

As he recovered among his disciples, he examined Baibo’s Principle fragment with Lü Xuan and discovered the Spirit-Shattering Butterfly Jade could absorb its crystal.

• Chen Baiqing asked to leave Chu Xingchen’s side, while Li Xingtian urged her to help protect Yuzhou City without telling their master.
• Xu Linglong lured Chu Xingchen and Bai Xuanling to the old sect, where Chu Xingchen sealed four Heavenly Demons inside his prepared formation.
• Chu Xingchen revealed his early Mahayana cultivation and helped Bai Xuanling fight Xu Linglong, but the demons escaped after Great Dao Sect reinforcements arrived.
• Baibo’s black intent struck Bai Xuanling, and Chu Xingchen remained trapped in Xu Linglong’s illusion as Chen Baiqing and Li Xingtian explained how they had summoned reinforcements.
