"Is this your home?"
Hana Ye surveyed the room in confusion, looking all around. Behind her stood the locked wooden door Lin En had kicked open.
The house wasn't very big. The living room and bedroom combined were about the size of her bedroom.
The living room held only a table and two chairs, with a portrait of a family of three hanging on the wall. The whole place was cold and damp, and fine dust covered the table. Clearly, its owner hadn't come home for many days.
Lin En looked up and surveyed his surroundings.
"It's not my home. It's Lin Ke's. 156 Gear Street. This was the only information I could find in his mind."
More importantly...
He belonged to his [Vessel Family].
If Ophiel hadn't been stringing him along, then all the signs suggested that the ancestor of his original body's owner had been the Vessel of an Outer God that had once descended upon this world.
Otherwise, he couldn't have descended directly into this body.
"But the bloodline must be pretty diluted."
Lin En's gaze flickered.
"Otherwise, its compatibility with me wouldn't be just 41%."
More importantly...
After his second advancement, this body's compatibility with him had continued to decrease little by little. Less than two days had passed, and its compatibility with him was already down to 36%.
Hana Ye stared wide-eyed.
"So you're saying he's a descendant of your old Vessel?? Does he know what he is?"
Lin En glanced at her.
"How would I know? My situation is a bit unusual! All the signs suggest I've descended upon this world before, but now... I'm a completely new me!"
After all, even if he told her about transmigration, she certainly wouldn't understand.
But he really was extremely curious about his own identity.
