Hana Ye grew up in the Youzhi family castle. Her mother died when she was very young, and she shares a lavish bedroom with her older sister, Glass Lamp. Her father is a powerful Exorcist who served as the Exorcist Association’s vice president two terms earlier; her aunt is a White-robed Cardinal of the Church 16 20 21 23.

Despite her family’s wealth and influence, Hana Ye describes a lonely childhood. She says her father has disliked her since she was little and favors her accomplished sister. During a severe illness, he left her at the Church; after waiting for days, she returned home alone. She consequently believes that he would not care if she disappeared or died 39.

Hana Ye attends the academy’s noble section. Her admitted mischief includes putting laxatives into her father’s meetings, burning the headmaster’s beard, and blowing up the school twice. She later identifies her cannon as the weapon used in a school explosion 14 25 40.

Unable to persuade him to accept an IOU for protection, she offers herself as his contractual wife in exchange for being taken home 9 10 11 13 14 15.

Escort Home and Identity Investigation

Hana Ye prevents a confrontation with the Exorcists by identifying her family and vouching for Lin En without revealing his transformations. After returning to the castle, she hides him from the servants and explains the local supernatural system. The next morning, she helps him dress and investigate where his vessel was abandoned, spotting the student ID that identifies it as Link Lucifer 16 17 20 21 24.

Apparent Divorce and Shakira’s Attack

When Lin En proposes divorce, Hana Ye refuses until her ransom is paid. Shakira’s arrival and kiss nevertheless convince her that she has been abandoned. She later follows them under a trash-can disguise, discovers Shakira’s attack on Lin En, and tries to avenge him with her revolver.
