As his vision warped with his return, Lin En opened his eyes, back in the Warp.
He immediately saw the state of the great sun. Up close, its changes were even more apparent than they had been from below. It was indeed shrinking-collapsing, even. The once boundless ball of fire had visibly shrunk by a considerable margin, and the light it gave off was already nothing like it had been yesterday.
Lin En knew he truly could not wait any longer.
Granted, the coming of eternal night would be an excellent opportunity for him to fish in troubled waters.
But he also understood that once eternal night returned, the first to suffer a devastating blow would be the defenseless ordinary people. They would swiftly perish in the Spirit Realm's invasion, dying utterly meaningless deaths.
That was not what he wanted to see.
Lin En's enormous calamity body returned to the black mist.
The instant he stepped into his lair, he sensed something amiss with the Valkyrie he had imprisoned.
The room holding her was a complete wreck. Lin En could even sense that a considerable amount of the black mist had been consumed. Clearly, she had spent this time trying with all her might to break through the black mist and escape, but just as clearly, her efforts had achieved very little.
