"So, you've never seen stars either?"
Lin En walked along uncertainly, asking Salgon about the basic fact that had just dawned on him.
Salgon scratched the back of his head and followed beside Lin En, saying:
"Uh, sorry, Master, I really haven't... But I heard some old-timers mention them before. Apparently, before Eternal Night, our world really did have things called 'stars' in the sky, but they disappeared after Eternal Night began. I'm not too sure what exactly happened..."
Most people wouldn't care about such things, though.
Far too many things had vanished into history during Eternal Night.
Like the sun.
Their world had once had a genuine sun, but for humans born during Eternal Night, even if someone explained what the word "sun" meant, they would still have no real concept of it.
Once again, Lin En couldn't help pondering.
"So there are no stars? And that Valkyrie made the sun afterward?"
Seeing his master's thoughtful expression, Salgon couldn't help asking:
"Master... Do... Do you really not know what you are?"
Lin En glanced at him and said:
"What do you mean?"
Salgon immediately shuddered, (.;ﾟ;:益:;ﾟ;.) and said:
"Um... Master, I meant no offense whatsoever! I mean... Do... Do you remember that... that name Salgon mentioned before?"
Lin En gave him a dead-eyed look.
"The Lord of Crawling?"
Salgon immediately nodded rapidly, fighting back his fear as he stammered:
"Master, I mean absolutely no disrespect! I only wanted to say that you're undoubtedly a genuine Outer God. It's just... When I first saw you, I couldn't help remembering that being recorded in the ancient texts, because that being really did resemble you just a tiny bit..."
"That's why I... I let that name slip..."
Lin En glanced at him and said:
"You're saying I look like an Outer God
