The notification that the system had updated his quest came as no surprise to Greg.
The Hundred-Academy Exchange Meeting was being held in the imperial capital, and beneath that capital lay one of the massive Five Great Dungeons.
He had already made a plan: if the system updated the third-stage quest then, he would clear the Dungeon beneath the capital to complete it.
After all, for the sake of his happiness for the rest of his life, he was definitely going to this exchange meeting.
The only difference was the number of targets he needed to defeat.
In the Academy Dungeon, he only needed to kill the lord boss on the third floor to complete the quest.
In the Dungeon beneath the imperial capital, however, he needed to kill all three lords, from the First Floor through the third floor, in succession.
At first glance, the difficulty seemed to have skyrocketed, but for him, it had actually decreased.
Unlike the Academy Dungeon, the Imperial Dungeon had no restriction placed at its entrance.
That meant he could summon his powerhouse partner, Ellie, to clear it with him!
With a partner whose swordsmanship bordered on divine backing him up, never mind the lords of three floors-he could even try his hand at the fourth.
So the third-stage quest would pose no real difficulty for him.
Something else, however, had caught him off guard.
He distinctly remembered that none of the original story's routes or branching plots included Alice becoming Victoria's mentor.
There should never have been a direct teacher-student relationship between that timid, research-obsessed purple-haired mentor and this stubborn gray-haired girl of common birth.
So when Victoria appeared before him as his junior fellow disciple, Greg was genuinely surprised.
He quickly made an excuse about the disciples getting to know one another
