Hearing Lin Mo's shout, everyone gathered around.
"Has anyone spotted the Demon Clan's space wormhole?"
Kael, Fendona, Thorin, and Grom had only just steadied themselves on Yadis's back. They froze at his question and scanned their surroundings.
Scorching air still churned at the bottom of the crater. Shattered rock, black crystals, and half-melted metal structures were mixed together. There was no sign of any space wormhole.
Thorin wiped the ash from his face and said gruffly, "Didn't see it. The blast was too damn strong. You can barely even make out the crater's shape anymore. What wormhole?"
Warwick and Balin exchanged puzzled looks.
Ede was the first to react. His brows drew together, and he said gravely:
"No."
"There are no spatial fluctuations anywhere in this entire area."
"What's wrong?" Balin asked.
"What's the problem with the wormhole?"
Lin Mo did not answer immediately. Instead, he swept his gaze over the fifteen Seventh-Order experts and spoke rapidly:
"When you used your domains to confirm the Demon God's location earlier, did you sense the space wormhole?"
Everyone nodded.
"Yes, it was deep inside this underground city," an elf elder said.
"The Demon Clan was still sending troops through it then. The fluctuations were very obvious."
Another Seventh-Order expert of the Holy Human Race spoke up:
"Yes, and it was very obvious."
"Those spatial fluctuations were near the underground city's core area the whole time. When we locked onto the Demon God's aura just now, it wasn't far from the wormhole."
Lin Mo's heart sank, and he said:
"Everyone, when we were clearing the space wormholes on the Terra Continent, we already verified something. Space wormholes can only be destroyed from the opening end. They cannot be blown up from the receiving end."
"Lord Ryze of the Holy Human Race put in
