The plan was indeed feasible.
If they held the base, Great Xia would still have a foothold. Everyone nodded, agreeing that it was a good plan.
But Zheng Jinren's expression did not improve. He said gravely:
"Holding the base only ensures that we don't lose for now."
"The Kona Civilization's subsequent missions won't involve having us huddle inside a fortress watching the Demon Clan dig tunnels."
"Besides, there's no point in holding a base that's constantly under attack."
"Ammunition, energy, supplies, and everything else will have to come from Blue Star. It'll become a black hole that takes everything in and gives nothing back, seriously hampering our domestic development. That isn't in our interests."
Great Xia had not come to Kona to perform charity by drawing fire for the Kona Civilization. There had to be sufficient benefits.

"If the Demon Clan uses this same approach on Blue Star or Terra, are we going to rely solely on passive defense too?"
"If we don't solve the problem of deep underground infiltration, every Underground City in Great Xia and every defensive line on Terra will become a stationary target, picked apart and destroyed one by one."
Everyone's expression darkened.
They, too, realized the gravity of the situation.
The Demon Clan's change in tactics threatened more than just the Kona Satellite.
A staff officer hesitated for a moment before saying:
"Terra's Earth Elves are better at sensing geological strata and shaping rock."
"We could ask Commander Lin to coordinate a contingent of Earth
