Ch. 551Hold Up the Heavens, Up to No Good

The Four Seats of Judgment watched a battle and asked Wind-Thunder, Blue Sea, Little White, and Those Without a Home about Hold Up the Heavens. Their accounts left the group stunned by how strangely and dangerously the organization had affected each of them.

  • The Annihilation Seat told Wind-Thunder that the Salvation Hall of Fame had released its prisoners, while the Four Seats watched the battle from Judgment.
  • The Slaughter Seat asked Mie and the others whether Hold Up the Heavens had shown anything unusual.
  • Blue Sea and Those Without a Home directed the Four Seats to ask Wind-Thunder about his repeated encounters with Hold Up the Heavens.
  • Wind-Thunder recounted how he repeatedly failed to defeat Hold Up the Heavens, eventually going undercover as its number-one turncoat.
  • Little White said Hold Up the Heavens operated on him and Blue Sea, making Little White explode and slicing them open with a saber.
  • Those Without a Home said Hold Up the Heavens taught souls a method for becoming a Calamity, leaving the group to call them mad geniuses.

Ch. 552An uninvited guest

The Four Seats learned from Wind-Thunder how dangerous Hold Up the Heavens could be, while a butterfly-like Calamity called [Delusion] slipped into the Present World. [Delusion] attacked an explorer but was met with soul potato grenades.

  • Wind-Thunder told the Four Seats that Hold Up the Heavens had risen from second tier to eighth tier in two years and warned that their next advancement could trigger a catastrophic fight.
  • The Four Seats doubted Wind-Thunder’s fears, while Blue Sea and the other Calamities began to understand the danger.
  • A girl at the Calamity Observation Station noticed a possible flash of red light on the monitoring instruments.
  • A butterfly carrying [Delusion] crossed the Allied Army’s border defenses and searched the wilderness for prey.
  • [Delusion] trapped an exploration squad’s perception specialist and offered them power in exchange for their soul, but the explorer attacked with soul potato grenades.

Ch. 553[Delusion] attacks

Explorers fled after the Third Astral Detector identified [Delusion] and bombarded it with a Soul Electromagnetic Cannon. Xiao Shuo and Yu Qin captured the intruding Calamity, and Yu Qin began questioning its connection to the Salvation Hall of Fame.

  • The Third Astral Detector targeted [Delusion] with a Soul Electromagnetic Cannon, forcing the explorers to flee the blast zone.
  • Xiao Shuo left Yu Qin to guard the fortress and rushed to confront [Delusion].
  • Xiao Shuo attacked [Delusion] before it could question him, while it tried to communicate and then attempted to escape.
  • Yu Qin used a soul marker and a sealing net to help Xiao Shuo trap [Delusion] in shackles, and Xiao Shuo added several Seals.
  • Yu Qin asked [Delusion] its name and noted its mention of the Salvation Hall of Fame.

Ch. 554Sword of Judgment

After [Delusion] was captured at the End of the World, Wind-Thunder learned that the Fourteenth Tier Calamity could open a gate for other Calamities and threaten its homeland. The Annihilation Seat showed Wind-Thunder the Sword of Judgment’s hilt, whose burning script spelled Hold Up the Heavens.

  • Xiao Shuo sent Wei Changming an update about the captured [Delusion], and Wei Changming forwarded it to Wind-Thunder.
  • Wind-Thunder told the Four Seats that [Delusion] had appeared at the End of the World, prompting the Butchery Seat to seek the Salvation Hall of Fame and the Killing Seat to warn of the threat.
  • The Killing Seat explained that [Delusion] was a Fourteenth Tier Calamity that could keep a gate to the void open, potentially allowing other Fourteenth Tier Calamities to destroy the End of the World.
  • Wind-Thunder decided to return to its homeland through Judgment’s portal, and the Slaughter Seat urged it to trust Hold Up the Heavens.
  • The Annihilation Seat took Wind-Thunder to the Sword of Judgment’s hilt, where Wind-Thunder recognized the burning script as Hold Up the Heavens.

Ch. 555A Frantic Pursuit of Pleasure

Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan investigated a Calamity outbreak on a planet where people pursued dangerous pleasures while their souls were drawn to the Paradise of Fallen Pleasure. After meeting an Awakened man, they learned he believed the planet was beyond saving and urged them to leave.

  • Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan entered a planet drained by a purple vortex and found its people making no effort to resist.
  • A multicolored-haired boy invited them into a reckless race, and Su Wuwei stopped the vehicle after seeing dead humans' souls rise toward the vortex.
  • In the city, Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan encountered rampant crime and pleasure-seeking, while a woman explained that the dead willingly belonged to the Paradise of Fallen Pleasure.
  • Lou Guanshan warned the woman that the Paradise would turn their souls into Abyss Filth, but she rejected his concern and said she only wanted excitement.
  • A man in a tall hat transported Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan to his home and advised them to leave because the planet had brought its ruin upon itself.

Ch. 556[Fallen Pleasure]

Lou Guanshan and Su Wuwei learned how [Fallen Pleasure] arose from exploitation and spread across the star domain. They chose to fight the calamity and its perpetrators, asking the man to evacuate the walled city.

  • Lou Guanshan asked the man to explain [Fallen Pleasure], and the man described it as a calamity born from humanity’s pursuit of pleasure amid exploitation.
  • The man explained that ordinary people knew their souls would be drained but could not imagine resistance, while those inside the walls exploited them as calamities or sacrifices.
  • The man said the ruling people spread their resource farms to other planets, restricted knowledge, and turned the entire star domain into an incubator for [Fallen Pleasure].
  • Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan decided to kill [Fallen Pleasure] and the people responsible for the disaster.
  • Lou Guanshan told the man to gather those still capable of resisting and evacuate the walled city before they struck.

Ch. 557Extinction began

Su Wuwei warned the people inside the walled city that it would be destroyed in an hour, then attacked [Fallen Pleasure] in space. As the battle began to shake the star domain, the walled city’s leaders ordered its weapons and fighters mobilized against him.

  • Su Wuwei warned the walled city’s inhabitants to evacuate within an hour, and the man who heard him fired the agreed signal and urged his comrades to seal the city.
  • People in tall hats began leaving the walled city while others mocked the warning or considered taking shelter.
  • Su Wuwei left Lou Guanshan to watch the city and attacked the level-twelve [Fallen Pleasure] with his burning blade.
  • [Fallen Pleasure] awoke, gathered the souls it had consumed, and attacked Su Wuwei with laughter and distorted vortices as his strikes sent destructive energy across the star domain.
  • People across the affected planets suffered from the battle’s shock waves, while some residents inside the walled city began fleeing in panic.
  • The walled city’s leader ordered its weapons activated, demanded that warships and hidden forces attack Su Wuwei, and arranged a fighter to take him outside the city.

Ch. 558The Mistaken [Fallen Pleasure]

Lou Guanshan destroyed Encirclement City and its warships while Su Wuwei fought [Fallen Pleasure] across the planets. As the calamity died, it learned it was a man-made creation, while the planet it had consumed remained dead.

  • People trapped in Encirclement City tried to flee, but the tall-hatted defenders blocked the exits and attacked them.
  • Lou Guanshan killed the escaping man and his bodyguard, then destroyed the warships with his Mo Dao.
  • Lou Guanshan used Rock Blade to crush Encirclement City, while people outside escaped and learned that only the city was being destroyed.
  • Lou Guanshan headed to other planets as Su Wuwei weakened [Fallen Pleasure] by severing its vortex and burning its Calamity Power.
  • Su Wuwei told [Fallen Pleasure] it was a mistaken creation, and the dying calamity learned it was man-made before its final defeat.

Ch. 559The Right [Streetlamp]

After [Fallen Pleasure] died, the dying inhabitants of its planets chose to become a Man-Made Calamity and leave their final wishes behind. Their shared longing for warmth shaped a familiar orange streetlamp, leaving a new Calamity beginning to form.

  • As [Fallen Pleasure] died, its power vanished and most humans who had become Calamities began to disappear.
  • Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan realized the lingering Calamity Power could give rise to another Calamity.
  • Lou Guanshan asked the dying inhabitants whether they would become a Calamity that fought against Calamities and preserve their wills.
  • The inhabitants raised signals and voiced wishes for their oppressors to vanish, for a better world, and for their loved ones’ hopes to come true.
  • As the inhabitants died, their shared memories of warmth converged into the shape of an orange streetlamp familiar to Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan.

Ch. 560A Familiar "Face"

Su Wuwei and Lou Guanshan accidentally brought [Streetlamp] into being and decided to take it with them. At the Elf Star Domain, Kou Ying defeated the forces controlling [Trickery] and learned how a mysterious power had plunged two planets into turmoil.

  • Su Wuwei gave [Streetlamp] a burning wick made from the remains of its creators’ dead planet, lighting its first flame.
  • [Streetlamp] gave Su Wuwei a spark containing remnants of planetary wills, then followed him and Lou Guanshan toward the Elf Star Domain.
  • Kou Ying subdued the forces around the devastated planet, and the liberated Sky-Supporting Umbrella drifted away from him.
  • Kou Ying questioned a captured one-eyed general, who explained how research into a mysterious power had fueled conflict between two planets.
  • Kou Ying refused to rule the planets and said their people were fortunate he had not found them scheming against innocents or fighting for power.

Ch. 561Comprehending Time

Kou Ying freed [Trickery] from its creators, returned to the Elf Star Domain, and cleared the dangerous souls and wreckage from an exploded planet. Meanwhile, Mu Bingge explored time with a conscious gas planet and discovered that she could not preserve a droplet’s final state.

  • Kou Ying warned the survivors of [Trickery] against treating living beings as pawns, then left to check on Wan Lan.
  • Kou Ying observed Wan Lan growing stronger and used Shadow Spikes to consume the souls and wreckage around the destroyed planet.
  • Kou Ying sensed that his repeated cleanup of calamity-struck worlds was helping him develop a new skill.
  • Mu Bingge met a conscious planet made of gas, which challenged her understanding of time by storing and recombining different states of matter.
  • Mu Bingge preserved a water droplet and advanced it until it vanished, but an unseen repulsive force prevented her from preserving its final state.

Ch. 562Hands up

Mu Bingge formed a Contract with a planetary consciousness and retrieved its core, then stayed to absorb energy and study her emerging control over time. Ye Buyu and Little Whale were confronted by the Woxian Alliance, whose forces demanded that she identify herself and explain the colossal creature beneath her.

  • Mu Bingge thanked the planetary consciousness for helping her sense a hidden power and told it about the universe’s strange changes.
  • The planetary consciousness proposed leaving with Mu Bingge, opened a path to its core, and formed a Contract with her to protect itself.
  • Mu Bingge retrieved the planet’s core, promised to keep it safe, and remained behind to absorb the lingering energy and practice her new understanding.
  • Ye Buyu found herself surrounded by Woxian Alliance warships and used a skill to help Little Whale transfer their language to her.
  • Ye Buyu told the Woxian Alliance she was an ordinary passerby from another Star Domain, but they demanded she explain the colossal Little Whale beneath her, who could not shrink any further.

Ch. 563Ye Buyu in action

Ye Buyu stopped the Woxian Alliance’s fleet from attacking her and restrained its forces so she could negotiate. She proposed cooperation to strengthen their Awakened system and asked them to fight civilization-destroying Calamities and investigate others.

  • Ye Buyu passed through the Woxian Star Domain as its warships cleared a route for her and Little Whale.
  • Ye Buyu sensed a group connected to the Red Threads and decided to return rather than leave the Star Domain to its fate.
  • Ye Buyu appeared aboard the flagship, restrained the supreme commander, and immobilized the allied fleets while destroying their weapons.
  • Ye Buyu told the supreme commander she knew about the monsters and mysterious energy appearing across Star Domains.
  • Ye Buyu offered a complete Awakened system in exchange for Woxian teams killing Calamities that threatened civilization and investigating other Calamities.

Ch. 564The sky really might be falling

Ye Buyu explained Little Whale’s origin to the Woxian Alliance, then parted from it to search the star domains for people. In the Present World, the Horizon Team learned that [Delusion] had exposed their coordinates and began preparing for the Calamity Tide.

  • Ye Buyu showed the Woxian Alliance memories of Little Whale’s destroyed civilization and left after reassuring them that it was not their enemy.
  • Ye Buyu told Little Whale to practice what she had taught it, then left to search the star domains on her own.
  • Wei Changming told the Horizon Team that their captured fragment of [Delusion] had likely exposed the Present World’s coordinates.
  • Guan Xiaomei and Chu Lie killed the fragment of [Delusion] after it offered to make them its followers.
  • Wei Changming ordered the Present World’s forces to gather at the Fortress, while Xiao Shuo and Yu Qin took responsibility for seeking allies and organizing the Allied Army.

Ch. 565The Primordial Beginning Tower's Decision

Lan Huaiyu and the Salvation Hall of Fame prepared to defend the End of the World after learning that [Delusion] might threaten it, while the Primordial Beginning Tower sent support. Wu Dan also ordered Banyi, Xiang Mingyang, and Yan Yan to purge those who deserved to die, revealing that Banyi’s schemes had been part of an effort to expose the tower’s corrupt members.

  • Lan Huaiyu told Wail that [Delusion] might threaten the Present World, and Wail agreed to help protect the End of the World from [War] and [Delusion].
  • The Salvation Hall of Fame coordinated its response: Note set out for the End of the World, Little Wan went to help, and Suiyang stayed to track [War].
  • Little Whale started the Flagship Hold Up the Heavens after its connected souls said they wanted to see Ye Buyu’s home, and Lan Huaiyu joined them.
  • Wu Dan ordered Hang Jiuwang to support the End of the World and told Banyi, Xiang Mingyang, and Yan Yan to deal with the Primordial Beginning Tower’s traitors.
  • Banyi revealed that her surface-level schemes had been meant to expose people’s selfishness and fear, leaving Yan Yan and Xiang Mingyang shocked that Wu Dan had known about her plans.

Ch. 566Ku Rong happily dropped bombshells

Banyi revealed that he had secretly led a fabricated rebel faction on the Administrators’ orders, and he began the Purging with Yan Yan and Xiang Mingyang. Meanwhile, Ku Rong woke the Withered Glory Theatre’s allies, startled them with revelations about Hold Up the Heavens, and agreed to help them face the coming crisis.

  • Banyi explained to Yan Yan and Xiang Mingyang that his rebel leadership had been an operation to draw out dangerous dissidents, then set out with them to begin the Purging.
  • Banyi warned Yan Yan and Xiang Mingyang that he might still be pursuing a hidden scheme, leaving them distrustful as they prepared to head to the End of the World.
  • Ku Rong woke Sun Xi, Gong Jieyong, Zhao Zhe, Wei Hua, and the others, who learned that Hold Up the Heavens was missing and currently at the Eighth Tier.
  • Ku Rong revealed that Hold Up the Heavens might have traveled back through time and that Ye Buyu, the Primordial Beginning Tower, and Judgment were connected to them, prompting the group to share Gong Jieyong’s medicine.
  • Zhao Zhe and Sun Xi focused the group on returning to confront the coming crisis, and Ku Rong agreed that the Withered Glory Theatre would help; the others told him not to discuss his relationship with Hold Up the Heavens.

Ch. 567Battle commenced

Calamities poured through gateways opened by [Delusion] into a fortified human settlement, where Wei Changming, Chu Lie, Meng He, Yu Qin, Guan Xiaomei, and Xiao Shuo led the defense. The battle intensified as reinforcements and powerful abilities annihilated hundreds of invaders, leaving the remaining calamities terrified.

  • Calamities discovered gateways to a civilized settlement, and a level eleven calamity was killed by the fortress’s weapons.
  • Wei Changming and Chu Lie attacked the invading calamities while [Delusion] opened endless gateways to summon more.

  • Guan Xiaomei joined the battle, while Yu Qin commanded the Bone Army and Xiao Shuo directed the fortress troops.
  • Xiao Shuo used a curtain of light to severely wound calamities that reached the fortress.
  • Three powerful forces joined the fight and destroyed hundreds of calamities, frightening the survivors.

Ch. 568Opening

The Horizon Team and the Present World struggled to hold back the Calamities as [Delusion] summoned a Level Thirteen attacker. Note arrived, killed the Calamity, and halted the battle, leaving the remaining Calamities fearful.

  • Wei Changming and Guan Xiaomei held the defensive line while the Four Symbols Department fought Calamities and destroyed the doors [Delusion] kept opening.
  • Yang You destroyed a Teleportation Channel and sent its data to the Present World Scholars' Association, whose scholars worked with Bai Ze Division predictors to analyze it.
  • People across the Present World poured soul energy into the River of Forgetfulness to strengthen Yu Qin's White Bone Army as the Sun watched the battle.
  • [Delusion] opened a door and brought a Level Thirteen Calamity into the fortress, where its calamity power broke through the first layer of protection.
  • Note trapped the Level Thirteen Calamity in a dream, destroyed its Mindscape, and killed it, then stopped the fighting with the Tuner's power.

Ch. 569[Delusion] Went All Out

[Delusion] opened a gate to the End of the World, drawing [War], Weier, and [Fear] into a battle against the Salvation Hall of Fame. As the Hall of Fame mobilized to defend the fortress, [Delusion] sacrificed its body to summon high-level Calamities.

  • [War] learned of a pristine world with civilization and low Calamity, opened a gate, and challenged Weier and [Fear] to follow.
  • Weier recognized the destination as the End of the World, and [Fear] followed after realizing the Salvation Hall of Fame had plans there.
  • Little Wan lifted the fortress while Note and Little Whale helped send its people toward safety as the icy force from the gate struck.
  • Wang Jianshe and the others emerged from the Withered Glory Theatre as Ku Rong joined the fight and Slyder sensed a familiar presence in the gate.

Ch. 570Calamities came one after another

[Delusion] died after opening a passage that brought several powerful Calamities to the land, forcing the Civilization’s defenders into simultaneous battles. The four division leaders confronted [Rift], but her words made them turn against one another as they attacked.

  • Wang Jianshe and Gong Jieyong taunted [Delusion], whose rage intensified the passage as it called for [War] and the dormant Calamities.
  • [Delusion]’s hand shattered, and [Devouring Corpse] emerged through the gateway before Ku Rong attacked it with a scroll.
  • Note confronted [Annihilation], while Little Wan blocked [War] until Wusu, Gou Xiangwang, Mo Yi, and Mu Ruying arrived to take her on.
  • Little Wan warned the four that [Rift] used lies and suspicion to divide her opponents, then left to deal with the larger threat.
  • [Rift] claimed that one of the four wanted to claim victory alone, stirring their ambition and suspicion until they each charged forward to kill her themselves.

Ch. 571The First to Bow Out, Human and Calamity

Mo Yi, Gou Xiangwang, Wusu, and Mu Ruying fought [Rift], whose suspicion-inducing power failed to break their teamwork. [Rift] trapped them in her Origin World, and both sides bowed out of the conflict as the Fortress crashed and Xiao Shuo collapsed.

  • Mo Yi, Gou Xiangwang, Wusu, and Mu Ruying attacked [Rift] together, then argued over who should fight her alone.
  • [Rift] used lies and suspicion to turn the four against one another, but they kept coordinating their attacks and striking her.
  • [Rift] drew the four into her Origin World, where she used its fissures to fight them and withstand their coordinated assault.
  • [Rift] trapped the four in her unstable Origin World and left, while they attacked it and forced her to keep it powered.
  • The four and [Rift] lost their chance to join the battle, and the Fortress crashed as Xiao Shuo collapsed from exhaustion.
  • Xiao Shuo asked whether the Scholars' Association had found a way to counter the threat.

Ch. 572Cycle

The Present World's forces prepared to hold back the Calamity tide while Song Yi, Lan Huaiyu, Slyder, Wei Hua, and others confronted the Calamity [Cycle]. After Wu Yan revealed how to resist its repeating domain, they attacked [Cycle] together, leaving it screaming that they had remembered the loop.

  • Meng He said the Present World had mobilized defense teams, and Wei Changming confirmed that the other three countries had joined the joint defense system.
  • Song Yi, Lan Huaiyu, Slyder, Wei Hua, and others attacked the bandaged Calamity, which restarted the encounter and repeatedly trapped them in a cycle.
  • Sun Cheng and Chen Ze joined the fight, but the group realized their power and energy were being drained across repeated cycles.
  • Wu Yan messaged Wei Hua that the enemy was [Cycle] and instructed them to etch a soul imprint and find a way to break its domain.
  • Wei Hua warned the others that [Cycle] had pulled them into a recreated space, and the group launched a coordinated attack that tore its body apart.

Ch. 573The pursuit of Stagnation and Cycle

[Stagnation] and [Cycle] merged their Origin Worlds and fought the regrouped humans, whose abilities repeatedly disrupted their powers. [Stagnation] remained weakened despite [Cycle] restoring him, and Gong Jieyong challenged even a Fourteenth Tier opponent to face him.

  • [Stagnation] explained that Gong Jieyong had turned an unfair disadvantage into a trump card, and Gong Jieyong dared even a Fourteenth Tier opponent to fight him.

Ch. 574Despair's crisis

[Stagnation] and [Cycle] questioned Gong Jieyong and the others about eternity before warning them that [Sinful Karma], a fourteenth-tier calamity, had awakened and would annihilate everything in its path. Gong Jieyong and Slyder refused to retreat, and the chapter ended with [Stagnation] saying they reminded him and [Cycle] of the civilizations preserved in the Withered Glory Theatre.

  • [Stagnation] and [Cycle] attacked Gong Jieyong and the others while questioning whether anything was worth preserving forever.
  • [Cycle] revealed that [Sinful Karma] had awakened after [Delusion]'s summons and described how it had destroyed every living being in twenty-three Star Domains.
  • Gong Jieyong said that although nothing was eternal, living beings would continue to pursue their hopes as long as they existed.
  • Slyder refused to leave, saying that dying was better than regretting a retreat, and [Stagnation] admitted that they had not initially intended to help.
  • [Stagnation] said Gong Jieyong and the others reminded him and [Cycle] of people they had once known, prompting the group to ask if he meant the echoes in the Withered Glory Theatre.

Ch. 575The Splendor of the Past

Gong Jieyong and the others discovered that [Cycle] and [Stagnation] were connected to the lost Floating City and its Star Network, and Slyder helped the Calamities understand the legacy behind their existence. The group left for the Present World battlefield, while the two Calamities were left seeing the pioneers’ encouragement to keep moving forward.

  • Gong Jieyong recognized that [Cycle] and [Stagnation] knew Floating City and the Star Network, revealing their connection to the lost civilization of the Peak Epoch Period.
  • [Stagnation] asked whether the Salvation Hall of Fame or the Withered Glory Theatre had preserved the memory of Floating City, while [Cycle] fell silent.
  • Slyder asked whether the Calamities sought eternity because of their Origins or because they personally wanted it, then told them that Floating City’s legacy already lived in their memories.
  • [Stagnation] offered to help, but Wang Jianshe asked the Calamities to watch unless the situation became critical.
  • Slyder told [Cycle] and [Stagnation] to stop being trapped by the past and to recognize the people who had left their introductions as guidance.
  • The group headed for the Present World battlefield as [Cycle] and [Stagnation] sensed the pioneers urging them to keep moving forward.
