As soon as they left the city gates, they saw a stream of vehicles heading forward, all bound for City N.
Bai Shu checked the mission briefing. After their team confirmed its acceptance, Headquarters had sent them a roster. The five teams were Team 3A, the Golden Roc Squad, the Rose Squad, the Cheetah Squad, and the White Dove Squad.
Their team had only five members, while the others all had around ten.
"Well, well, the Rose Squad's coming too. Jin Chuanqiong's probably going to be furious."
Bai Shu looked ready to enjoy the show, his tablet displaying the individual profiles of each team's members.
Chen Xiaofei gave a little chuckle. "It's good that Mu Mei's coming. Someone can finally keep that guy in line. Besides, with her around, this mission's as good as done!"
The Rose Squad was a special operations team made up of nine women.
Every one of them was incredibly strong.
Mu Mei was their captain, an easygoing woman with a bold, spirited air.
Her other eight teammates all had plant abilities, but they were powerful too.
Xu Duoduo was also holding a tablet, cramming information. By the time she could recognize most of the other teams' members, the CPU in her little head was practically overheating.
Eventually, she leaned back in her seat and looked at the scenery around them. Outside the base, everything was barren. All the trees had withered and died, and the roads were so dry that their vehicle churned up clouds of dust as it passed.
The wind had scoured the ground bare, showing just how dry it was here. The environment outside was getting worse and worse.
"We've only been inside for a few days, but it feels like this place is turning into a desert. Inside and outside the
