They had barely exchanged a few words when another enormous thunderstorm erupted in the distance.
The ground shook from the force of it.
The Cheetah Squad and the White Dove Squad stared straight toward the erupting thunderstorm, excitement written all over their faces.
"That has to be Captain Qin's ability!! So badass!"
"Team 3A really is on another level!"
"That ability is insanely cool! I'm so jealous! Imagine how awesome it would be to have a Thunder-Type Mutant Ability!"
"Doesn't Brother Qin have a thunderstorm ability?"
Mu Mei glanced over and couldn't help smiling. "This place is a breeding ground for his Thunderstorm Ability. Unfortunately, all this water also limits him."
Without allies nearby, though, he could cut loose and fight to his heart's content.
Her expression turning serious, Mu Mei warned the newcomers, "Don't go anywhere near Team 3A. You'll hold them back."
The Cheetah Squad and the White Dove Squad immediately nodded obediently, not daring to entertain the idea anymore.
Getting caught in friendly fire would be utterly miserable. The world of the truly powerful wasn't somewhere they could casually venture into. They simply couldn't keep up.
Meanwhile, Qin Luo had taken down the mutated octopus using only a third of his ability reserves.
His ability consumed less energy here.
That was because thunderstorms required three conditions: abundant moisture, an unstable atmosphere, and sufficient upward movement or a lifting mechanism.
Those three conditions supplied the moisture, energy source, and driving mechanism necessary for a thunderstorm to form. Once all three were present, the unstable energy in the atmosphere would be released, triggering a thunderstorm.
A place like this gave Qin Luo's ability a tremendous advantage, but it also imposed limitations. There was water everywhere, after all. His teammates had to be extremely careful when approaching him.
