Ye Fei looked up at the clouds gathering ever thicker overhead and suddenly asked a question he had long known the answer to.
The phoenix tree and Little Phoenix should have been companions bound to one another, right?

The flaming leaves burst apart, and fiery light circled twice around the Phoenix Egg resting in Ye Fei's palm. Then, as though it had suddenly figured something out, the flames wrapped directly around the eggshell.
Not only that, but the entire phoenix tree beneath Ye Fei's feet was covered in flames in an instant, truly becoming a tree of fire.
"Phoenix tree, how about I name you Phoenix Perch, and name Little Phoenix Fire Dance? What do you think?"
Ye Fei looked up at the increasingly hot Phoenix Egg in his palm and suddenly thought of two names.
The phoenix tree's flames paused briefly before gathering toward the Phoenix Egg once again, not wanting to bother with the matter of names for now.
"Your human is doing this on purpose, isn't he? Phoenixes aren't entirely fire-type, yet he names one Fire Dance? And the phoenix tree gets called Phoenix Perch instead?"
Feng An looked at the human with the unreliable naming sense atop the tree, then compared those names with the names of the little ones beside him. He felt that Ye Fei was deliberately teasing the two who couldn't speak.
Wouldn't those names have been better switched around?
"Yip, yip!"
Little Fox tilted its head up and looked at the fireball in its human's hand, certain there was nothing wrong with the name.
That fireball had flames dancing all over it. Wasn't naming it Fire Dance perfectly normal?
