Background / History

Qingxue has no memories of her parents. From her earliest awareness, she searched for food alone in the snow. She eventually found a supply crate containing chicken but could not retrieve the meat, so she stayed beside it 5 8.

While trying to stop Ye Fei from taking the crate, she injured herself in a collision that cost her two-thirds of her health. Ye Fei carried her home, initially keeping her outside because he feared an ambush. He later brought her into the warm room, placed her in a basket, and fed her cooled chicken soup and a chicken head 5 7.

After accepting Ye Fei as her owner, she interpreted the warmth of his pocket as the shelter a parent would provide. Ye Fei named her Qingxue after a small, fluffy pet from a game he had previously played. He mistook her request for food for approval of the name, then repeatedly used it while feeding her until she became accustomed to it 8 9.

Her early growth depends on Beast Essence Stones, but she eventually encounters bloodline limits that ordinary leveling cannot overcome. A Fox King Inner Core enables her first grade advancement, while a later bloodline enhancement changes her into a Spirit Fox. Her subsequent development follows an intelligence-oriented, multi-tailed path that adds healing and protective abilities before she becomes an Immortal Fox 64 68 239 256 300 379 483 688.

Appearance

  • White, fluffy coat that makes her resemble a small ball of fur 5.
  • Large ears, round dark eyes, and a bushy tail almost as long as her body 5 20 21.
  • Tiny build: she fits in Ye Fei’s palms or coat pocket, and her early advancements barely change her size. At the time she finds Eclipse Moon’s egg, her body measures approximately twenty centimeters without her tail, with her fur accounting for much of her apparent bulk 10 16 29 80.
  • Concealed, dagger-like claws nearly as long as her legs when extended 17.
  • Variable size after Spirit-grade evolution: she can take a large fox form or instantly shrink back into her familiar small form. She prefers being small when resting against Ye Fei 257.
  • Multiple tails: her second tail initially grows smaller than her original tail, and she shyly conceals it beneath the larger one. She later becomes a three-tailed white fox, then a four-tailed Immortal Fox 394 483 567 688.
  • Expressive ears: they droop when she is unhappy and stand upright and sway when she is happy, making her mood easy to recognize 411.

Personality

Qingxue is affectionate, playful, and strongly attached to Ye Fei. She sleeps against his shoulder for warmth, nuzzles his cheek, and seeks attention by jumping into his hands. She regards him as a somewhat foolish but caring parental figure and wishes she could be his actual cub 9 10 29.

Her attachment also drives her protectiveness. Believing Ye Fei struggles to find food, she resolves to grow strong enough to bring him meat. She watches for predators while accompanying him and worries when he is absent from his usual sleeping place. During his painful body tempering, she cries because she cannot understand what is happening or help him 10 14 35 37.

She can be possessive and overconfident. Feng Bai’s arrival initially makes her jealous, while her determination to hunt a white crane despite Feng Bai’s warning nearly gets both pets killed. Afterward, she stays closer to home. Once Feng Bai explains Ye Fei’s cultivation to her, she also learns to wait quietly rather than interrupt him 31 32 40 42 44.

Qingxue is observant and eager to understand household life even before she understands human speech. She studies Ye Fei’s actions and tries to discover their meaning, making her more attentive to household arrangements than Feng Bai at that stage. Her later evolutionary path is explicitly intelligence-oriented, allowing her to analyze situations more effectively than the combat-oriented Feimeng 53 379.

Her confidence in Ye Fei remains firm as the family expands. When Phantom Spirit questions whether a human can always be trusted, Qingxue insists that Ye Fei will never stop treating them well. She and Feng Bai permit the deer to leave if that ever changes, but firmly reject harming their human 97.

She can become discouraged by her limited cultivation knowledge, but responds by concentrating on practical contributions. After realizing how much more Phantom Spirit understands, she decides that she and Feng Bai should work harder to earn money for Ye Fei and trusts that he will not leave them behind as he grows stronger. His improved clothing later makes her happy because she sees it as proof that their work has improved his life 100 120.

Within the household, she becomes an assertive organizer who can scold or discipline her companions regardless of their relative strength. She supervises cultivation, explains rules to newcomers, and worries about both Ye Fei and the other pets. She remains sensitive to outsiders who misunderstand their bond, becoming irritated when Xu Ming looks at Ye Fei with sympathy over his relationship with his pets 348 373 423 459.

Abilities & Skills

Sharp Claws and Sharp Teeth

  • Tears through a wolf’s windpipe, blood vessels, and cervical joints during an ambush 18.
  • Bites through a chicken head, bones included, and uses her claws to divide an oversized serving of meat 7 20.
  • Can kill weaker prey in one strike, including a hare with Combat Power 4 20.
  • Has difficulty damaging substantially stronger enemies: her initial attacks barely reduce the adult Snow Fox’s health 21.
  • By the time Eclipse Moon joins the household, a single paw strike can shatter an ordinary Snow Wolf’s bones 82.
  • Kills a beginner mutated wild wolf by emerging beneath it, tearing open its belly, and severing its spine through the emptied abdomen, overcoming its regenerative ability through catastrophic damage 173.
  • During the seventh month’s disaster, crushes the skulls of spiritual-energy snow fox impostors with individual swipes 566.

Speed and Burst

  • Burrows beneath snow to approach prey unseen and can leap across a nearly meter-high fence 16 17.
  • After gaining Speed, disappears from Ye Fei’s sight and returns within minutes carrying a nearly dead pheasant 25.
  • At Level 5, combines her speed and burst capabilities to retrieve a rabbit several times her size before Ye Fei can follow her movements 29.
  • Her Spirit-grade status upgrades Speed to Extreme Speed and again lists Burst among her abilities 256.
  • Uses sudden movement to pass from Phantom Spirit’s back to beneath a mutated wolf before launching a lethal attack 173.

Detection and Scouting

  • Smells chicken through a frozen carcass and supply crate 5.
  • Leads Ye Fei to a Green-Quality Supply Crate uphill from his usual search route 11.
  • Alerts him to a concealed adult Snow Fox and later senses approaching danger beyond the yard before she can see it 21 43.
  • Possesses inherited knowledge of dangerous weather, causing instinctive fear when she first encounters the blizzard 30.
  • Searches beneath the snow for plant seedlings and successfully returns with one, although Ye Fei worries that her limited visibility and speed could cause another collision 71 72.
  • Finds a hatchable pet egg inside a block of ice while returning from a hunt 80.

Communication

  • Cannot understand human speech in the early chapters; she and Ye Fei rely on emotional cues, cries, and gestures 11 16 20.
  • Improves at conveying specific information, such as pointing toward a rabbit and mimicking its long ears 29.
  • Communicates directly with Feng Bai despite their different species. Ye Fei cannot understand their exchanges 32.
  • Learns the purpose of Ye Fei’s cultivation from Feng Bai, but does not know how to cultivate herself at that time 44.
  • Gains Language Comprehension through her King-grade evolution. She subsequently understands Ye Fei’s remarks about her original collision beneath the snow well enough to react with embarrassment and displeasure 68 72.
  • Relays Ye Fei’s meaning to Phantom Spirit and discusses household expectations with the deer. By the time the household has expanded, translating is one of her regular responsibilities 97 348.
  • Acquires the Language ability upon becoming an Immortal Pet, replacing the earlier Language Comprehension listing 688.

Pet Growth and Evolution

  • Maximum happiness doubles her growth speed; maximum loyalty triggers basic evolution 11 15.
  • Consumes Beast Essence Stones to advance, including wolf-type stones despite being a fox 22 26 27.
  • Evolves while resting or asleep. At Level 5, a single stone has little effect on her growth 22 27 39.
  • Remains vulnerable to severe injury and requires Ye Fei’s treatment with Blood-Replenishing Pills after dangerous hunts 22 40.
  • Encounters bloodline-imposed Level 10 caps at both Common and King grades. Her Fox King Inner Core evolution resets her to Level 1 with 80% of her previous attributes 64 68 239.
  • Spirit-grade bloodline enhancement changes her species to Spirit Fox and grants Cub Form, Extreme Speed, Burst, and Spirit-level Intimidation among her listed abilities 256.
  • Initially lacks the ability to cultivate with spiritual energy, even after reaching King grade. By her later Spirit-grade development, cultivation has replaced the earlier dependence on beast crystals as the household’s principal growth method 100 348 567.
  • Advances to Immortal Grade after receiving an immortal fruit and an Immortal Spirit Advancement Pill. Immortal Pets have no numbered level divisions and increase their combat power gradually through daily cultivation 687 688.

Intimidation and Size Control

  • Gains Beast King Aura at King grade; this is later replaced in her listed abilities by Spirit-level Intimidation 68 256.
  • Uses Cub Form to retain or resume her small appearance despite being capable of a much larger body. She recognizes that a large form could allow her to carry Ye Fei rather than always being carried by him 256 257.
  • Alternates between an enlarged three-tailed form while consuming spiritual-energy creatures and a tiny form when returning to Ye Fei’s arms 566.
  • Retains Cub Form after becoming an Immortal Fox 688.

Multi-Tail Evolution

  • Acquires the ability after consuming both a Heavenly Spirit Pearl and an Earth Spirit Pearl 300.
  • Her potential number of tails depends on her comprehension of different elements. During advancement, a new tail can correspond to a spiritual-energy attribute or a special ability 300 389.
  • Tail growth and numbered levels are separate processes: becoming Level 3 does not necessarily produce a third tail 395.
  • Her second tail grants Healing, her third provides Self-Protection, and her fourth supplies Enhancement 395 483 688.
  • Retains Multi-Tail Evolution as an Immortal Pet 688.

Healing and Protection

  • Gains Healing upon becoming a two-tailed Spirit Fox 395.
  • Acquires Self-Protection with the completion of her third tail. Ye Fei interprets her development as suggesting a future invincibility-and-group-healing approach, rather than confirming that she already possesses invincibility 483.
  • Plans to use her healing in household training after the maze expedition, to Feimeng’s considerable apprehension 567.
  • Her Immortal-grade status continues to list Healing and lists Protection among her abilities 688.

Immortal-Grade Enhancement and Foxfire

  • Her fourth tail grants Enhancement, which can strengthen both Qingxue herself and targets around her 688.
  • Gains Foxfire, identified as a purely offensive ability. Ye Fei has not yet seen her use it at the time of her advancement, leaving its precise form unconfirmed 688.
  • Her combat power rises to 116,000 on becoming an Immortal Pet, approximately ten times the Spirit-grade ceiling described by Ye Fei 688.

Household Coordination

  • Instructs Eclipse Moon to search for supply crates and seedlings hidden in the snow 82.
  • Explains to new companions that Ye Fei works hard and must not be bullied or harmed 97.
  • Keeps Feng Bai and Eclipse Moon from neglecting cultivation for play. Her authority is strong enough that both immediately leave the pool when she calls them 348.
  • Guides Feimeng around the home, identifies the Spirit Herb Field as an area that must not be damaged, and explains household matters 373.
  • Acts as Ye Fei’s discussion partner when he considers expanding the courtyard and spirit herb growing area 382.

Relationships

  • Ye Fei — Owner and parental figure. Their bond grows from wary rescue to maximum loyalty and willingness to follow him through life and death. She hunts for him, keeps watch, and seeks warmth and reassurance from him 5 8 10 14 15. She later insists that he will never mistreat the pets and encourages the others to support him financially. Ye Fei recognizes her work in bringing the household together, consults her on expansion plans, and holds her through an unusual tail-growing advancement to reassure her 97 100 107 382 389.
  • Feng Bai — Fellow pet, playmate, and hunting partner. Qingxue initially sees the white tiger cub as a rival, but Feng Bai’s affectionate behavior disarms her. They later hunt together and communicate about Ye Fei’s cultivation 31 32 33 44. Feng Bai saves desirable food for her, warns her away from dangerous things, and sometimes receives paw strikes when she feels provoked. Their mutual loyalty to Ye Fei remains unwavering, and Qingxue later supervises Feng Bai’s cultivation 74 75 97 348.
  • Feng Bai’s mother — Qingxue opens a gap in the fence to admit the dying tiger, intending to obtain prey. The tiger instead gives birth, leaving Qingxue with a new companion she had not expected 31.
  • Eclipse Moon — The hound hatches from the egg Qingxue finds in the ice. She initially regrets bringing it home because it produces another companion rather than food, but soon gives it searching assignments. She later acts as one of its acknowledged bosses and frequently supervises its behavior and cultivation, especially when its curiosity leads Feng Bai into trouble 80 82 257 348.
  • Phantom Spirit — Fellow spirit pet and a source of cultivation knowledge. Qingxue advocates for Ye Fei when the deer distrusts humans and helps communicate his intentions. Ye Fei credits her with increasing Phantom Spirit’s Recognition of him. She can feel inadequate beside the deer’s knowledge, but their relationship develops into cooperative household life; Phantom Spirit also recognizes her effectiveness in managing the others 97 100 107 348.
  • Feimeng — Fellow fox and later household member. Qingxue accepts the newcomer, gives her a tour, and explains household rules. Despite Feimeng’s stronger combat orientation, Qingxue remains the fox in charge because of her intelligence-oriented development. Feimeng reassures her about Ye Fei’s loyalty to the family during Xu Ming’s interference, though the two also tease and complain about one another 372 373 379 423 567.
  • Long Heng — Qingxue regards his occupation of the pond and competition for Ye Fei’s attention with annoyance, but still worries when she sees him receiving a one-sided beating 385.
  • Elf Queen — Feeds Qingxue Life Tree leaves that trigger her advancement toward the Three-Tailed Complete Form. After Qingxue overeats, the queen clears her blocked spiritual energy; Ye Fei’s thanks are strained because the incident nearly injures her. The leaves nevertheless provide exceptionally pure energy for her completed evolution 470 483.
  • Xu Ming — An outsider whose assumptions about pets and the Human Race irritate Qingxue. She dislikes his sympathetic look toward Ye Fei and deliberately seeks her human’s attention to draw it away from him 423.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Early Hunting Partnership

Qingxue becomes a major contributor to Ye Fei’s food supply and hunting quests. She ambushes a wolf while Ye Fei attacks with his axe, then kills a hare to complete his daily quest. Her kills award Survival Points to Ye Fei even when he does not strike the prey himself 18 20.

Battle with the Adult Snow Fox

When a Snow Fox with Combat Power 22 targets Ye Fei, Qingxue fights from below while he fires arrows from a tree. She attacks its hindquarters, legs, and back as it tries to climb after him. In the final exchange, she jumps down, loses half her health in the fall, and lunges at its throat; the enemy tears open her belly just before dying. Ye Fei treats her and carries her home 21 22.

Household Defense and Independent Hunts

During a nighttime wolf-pack attack, Qingxue injures the fleeing leader, allowing Ye Fei to trap and finish it. She also begins hunting independently, bringing back a pheasant for him to kill and claim the quest reward 25 26.

After Feng Bai joins the household, the two pets regularly return with prey while Ye Fei gathers materials or works at home. Their catches include wild wolves and a dying bison large enough to astonish him 33 34 38.

Their contribution continues as they grow stronger. They bring home groups of pheasants, rabbits, Snow Wolves, and Snow Foxes, and later hunt prey including a Snow Leopard. Against a nighttime pack of more than thirty Snow Wolves with combat power in the forties and an elite in the fifties, Qingxue and Feng Bai finish the battle without Phantom Spirit needing to participate 71 80 100.

White Crane Incident

Qingxue insists on attacking a large white crane despite Feng Bai’s warning. They kill it, but she is left bleeding with only a sliver of health. Ye Fei administers two Blood-Replenishing Pills to stabilize her and takes both pets home. After resting indoors, they resume hunting nearby rather than venturing far away 40 41 42.

Snow Mountain Crisis

Qingxue warns Ye Fei of danger beyond the yard as the region-wide crisis begins. When a Fox Wolf with Combat Power 66 appears, she investigates but returns indoors at his direction, leaving him to handle the threat with his crossbow and fences 43 46.

Later, while Ye Fei undergoes body tempering, she joins Feng Bai against a pack of 35 wolves with Combat Power between 20 and 30. Feng Bai suppresses the wolves with Beast King Aura while both pets kill them with claws and teeth. The subsequent feeding and evolution bring Qingxue to Level 7 49 50.

King-Grade Evolution and the Expanding Household

After reaching Level 10 and Combat Power 60, Qingxue encounters her first bloodline limit. Ye Fei offers her a Fox King Inner Core, which she recognizes as something that can strengthen her essence. She embraces it with all four paws and falls asleep as it is absorbed, beginning Essence Evolution. Her completed King-grade form returns to Level 1 with Combat Power 48 and gains Language Comprehension and Beast King Aura 64 68.

She subsequently helps search for seedlings, bringing one up from beneath the snow. Ye Fei’s warning about crashing into unseen obstacles reminds her of their first meeting and leaves her visibly embarrassed 71 72.

During another hunting trip, she digs a basketball-sized egg out of an obstructing block of ice and carefully pushes it across the snow until Ye Fei arrives to carry it home. The egg hatches into Eclipse Moon, whose arrival initially disappoints her but further expands the household she helps organize 80 82.

When Phantom Spirit joins them, Qingxue becomes both an intermediary and an advocate for Ye Fei. She explains his efforts to the deer, defends his character, and establishes that leaving would be acceptable if necessary but harming their human would not. Her later conversations help increase Phantom Spirit’s Recognition, earning Ye Fei’s praise 97 107.

Spirit-Grade Bloodline Enhancement

Qingxue eventually reaches Level 10 at King grade with Combat Power 126 and again becomes unable to advance. A successful bloodline enhancement transforms her into a Level 1 Spirit Fox with Combat Power 101, Loyalty 100, and Recognition 100 239 256.

The change also gives her a larger form, initially causing anxiety because she and Feng Bai had been told that Ye Fei disliked oversized creatures. Ye Fei reassures her that she is lovely in either size and merely asks her to remain small around the house to conserve space. She immediately shrinks, pleased that she can still snuggle against him and newly aware that a larger body could help carry him on future journeys 257.

Multi-Tail Evolution and Household Leadership

After consuming a Heavenly Spirit Pearl and an Earth Spirit Pearl, Qingxue gains the ability to develop multiple tails. Ye Fei reassures her that she will remain cute regardless of how many tails she grows 300.

As cultivation becomes central to the family’s life, Qingxue assumes increasing responsibility for keeping everyone organized. During a blizzard, she resolves to make Feng Bai and Eclipse Moon cultivate so they will be ready to hunt when conditions improve. Ye Fei recognizes that she is the busiest member of the household, balancing translation, supervision, concern for him, and the prevention of trouble 348.

When Feimeng arrives, Qingxue introduces her to the home and explains its rules. She remains the household’s leading fox despite the newcomer’s combat strength. Ye Fei later consults her about enlarging the courtyard and Spirit Herb Field after the family’s combined work raises their savings above ten million Survival Points 373 379 382.

Her next major advancement involves both leveling and tail growth. Ye Fei holds her while she sleeps to make her feel secure. She awakens as a Level 2 Two-Tailed Spirit Fox with Combat Power 208 and Healing, initially hiding the smaller new tail beneath her original one 389 394 395.

Three-Tailed Spirit Fox

The Elf Queen unexpectedly triggers another advancement by feeding Qingxue Life Tree leaves. Qingxue overeats, and the queen must clear blocked spiritual energy, prompting Ye Fei to check the Survival Handbook before thanking her with evident displeasure 470.

The evolution is successful. Qingxue completes her third tail and is recorded as a Level 5 Three-Tailed Spirit Fox with Combat Power 599. Her new Self-Protection ability accompanies the existing Healing ability, leading Ye Fei to welcome the possibility that her development will combine strong self-defense with group healing 483.

Seventh Month’s Disaster and the Maze

During the seventh month’s disaster, Qingxue reacts angrily to snow fox impostors formed from spiritual energy. She destroys them with her claws, then follows Ye Fei’s suggestion to eat them. In an enlarged three-tailed form, she chases down and swallows the fleeing constructs before shrinking and returning to his arms 566.

After the maze’s first floor is completed, discussion turns to the household’s teamwork and training. Qingxue volunteers to arrange matters once they return home and promises that the others will experience a Three-Tailed White Fox’s healing. Feimeng finds her smile alarming, recognizing that merciless training awaits, while Ye Fei sees only his affectionate, smiling fox 567.

Advancement to Immortal Grade

At a senior’s residence, Qingxue eats an immortal fruit whose spiritual energy causes her body to grow uncontrollably. Ye Fei feeds her the Immortal Spirit Advancement Pill he has prepared and teleports with her to a nearby grassy area. He observes that the clear sky and her normal-looking eyes do not suggest a lightning or mental-state tribulation 687.

She successfully becomes a Four-Tailed Immortal Fox with Combat Power 116,000. The advancement removes numbered level divisions and grants Language, Enhancement, and Foxfire alongside her continuing healing and protective abilities. Her fourth tail provides enhancement for herself and surrounding targets. Ye Fei regards the roughly tenfold leap beyond the Spirit-grade ceiling as a demonstration of the division between immortal and mortal beings 688.

Trivia

  • Her apparent rejection of names such as “Little White” and “Little Snow” is a misunderstanding: she does not understand the proposed names and simply wants Ye Fei to stop talking and feed her 9.
  • She prefers meat to vegetables, refusing a cucumber even though she has previously nibbled leaves for amusement 48.
  • After her Level 7 evolution, the bloodstains on her fur disappear, restoring her white appearance 50.
  • Her egg discovery produces a hound rather than a bird, leaving her puzzled about why a canine would hatch from an egg 82.
  • She interprets Ye Fei’s purchase of new clothes as a sign that the family has finally earned enough money for him to afford them 120.
  • Her first concern about becoming larger is whether she can still be held by Ye Fei; she then realizes that a large form could instead let her carry him 257.
  • She initially conceals her newly grown second tail out of shyness 394.
  • The spiritual-energy snow foxes she eats during the seventh month’s disaster have no taste or satisfying texture, but she accepts them as useful spiritual energy 566.
  • Feimeng finds her smiling promise of healing-assisted training frightening, while Ye Fei interprets the same expression as adorable 567.
