Your Wife Is Amazing / The Boy-Raising Plan
After doing all this, Yamabuki Chidori gently covered Ishida Oboro's clothes and thoughtfully tucked her in. Before leaving, she turned to Bard and smiled, "Bard, your wife is amazing."
The next morning, Ishida Oboro Ishida Oboro soundly until around nine o'clock in the morning. She felt incredibly comfortable and lay lazily in bed, not wanting to get up. Little did she know that she had almost turned into someone else's shape the night before.
Four months have passed in the blink of an eye.
Ishida Oboro's belly was much larger than that of an average pregnant woman, and the midwife was already waiting there.
Today is the day Ishida Oboro gives birth.
Bard waited anxiously outside, praying incessantly, "God! Please protect my child and me."
Soon, the sound of a baby crying filled the delivery room. Just as Bard was about to rush in, the midwife suddenly said, "Don't come in yet, there's another one, twins!"
Double the surprise!
Half an hour later, good news came from the delivery room: mother and children were safe and sound, and it was a pair of twins, both boys.
Bard was overjoyed. The two children had fair skin and distinctly Western features, which was understandable given that their father was a purebred Westerner.
He held his two sons, overwhelmed with emotion.
Not far away, Yamabuki Chidori calmly watched all of this. He had known all along that Ishida Oboro was carrying twins, but he only allowed one child to inherit his power.
Soon, Bard named his two sons, one Ishida Aki and the other Ishida Aoi.
The baby named Ishida Aoi is the one who inherited the power of Yamabuki Chidori.
Spring has passed and autumn has come; six years have gone by in the blink of an eye.
The two children also exhibited completely different personalities.
Ishida Aki became more lively and cheerful, loved to jump around, and often lingered around her father.
Ishida Aoi, on the other hand, is more introverted and calm. She prefers to quietly enjoy the scenery alone and spends more time with her mother. The only thing the two brothers have in common is that they both awakened Quincy powers at a young age.
Ishida Oboro also liked Ishida Aoi more; she felt that the child was very similar to herself.
Two years later, Ishida Aki began learning archery from his father. His archery skills were excellent, and he hit the target almost every time, which made Bard very happy.
However, Ishida Aoi preferred to sit alone in a quiet place to read. Because she didn't know many words, she often pestered her mother.
When the two were eight years old, the gears of fate began to turn.
It was a very refreshing autumn day.
While Ishida Aki was playing with her friends of the same age, Ishida Aoi sat quietly under a big tree reading a book.
Because of her unsociable nature, Ishida Aoi Ishida Aoi is seen as an oddball by her peers. However, she never cares about other people's opinions and does things her own way.
Until an older brother's voice came from beside him.
"Younger Brother, why don't you play with your friends?"
Ishida Aoi noticed someone was blocking the sunlight from her reading, so she looked up and saw a boy of about seventeen or eighteen years old smiling at her.
This older brother gave him a very familiar feeling, a sense of warmth, like seeing a family member.
Ishida Aoi was stunned for a moment before she remembered to reply, "They are not my friends, they are my brother's friends."
The boy reached out and gently touched Ishida Aoi's head.
Just then, Ishida Aki was showing off his archery skills to his friends. Ishida Aki could easily hit the bullseye from ten paces away, which was quite an achievement for an eight-year-old.
A hint of envy appeared in Ishida Aoi's eyes.
"Do you also want to learn archery skills?" the boy asked.
Ishida Aoi lowered her head and whispered, "I don't have the talent; I can never reach my brother's level."
The boy suddenly smiled, and a Spirit Bow appeared in his hand. Without the boy drawing the bow, nine Reishi Arrow shot out instantly, accurately embedding themselves in the tree trunk. Each Reishi Arrow was attached to nine leaves.
Ishida Aoi was completely stunned by the incredible skill before her.
"If you want to learn, come find me here tonight. By the way, this is a secret between us, and you can't tell even your parents." The boy gently pressed his lips together.
Just then, Ishida Aki ran over. "Younger Brother, come home for dinner. Who are you talking to?"
Ishida Aoi looked up and found that the boy who had been in front of her was gone.
If it weren't for the arrow holes in the tree trunk, Ishida Aoi would have thought she was dreaming.
That night, Ishida Oboro and Bard fell asleep early. They had been living a very comfortable life for the past few years and had gradually lost the vigilance they once had, as if they were just an ordinary couple.
While her parents were asleep, Ishida Aoi quietly went to the big tree where she had been during the day.
Bathed in the soft moonlight, the young man stood there quietly, serene and elegant.
"You really came! You're pretty brave! I thought you were afraid of the dark!" The boy reached out and gently patted Ishida Aoi's head.
Ishida Aoi, being introverted, finally mustered the courage to ask, "You... what's your name? Are you related to me? I feel a sense of familiarity with you!"
"My name is Yamabuki Chidori. An unknown Grim Reaper." Yamabuki Chidori smiled as she looked at the child in front of her.
Grim Reaper!
Completely unfamiliar words.
"Didn't you want to learn archery from me? What are you waiting for? Come on!" Yamabuki Chidori said with a smile.
Ishida Aoi followed closely behind Yamabuki Chidori.
Yamabuki Chidori sensed the flow of power within Ishida Aoi's body, primarily driven by Quincy, but mixed with the power of Shinigami, Hollows, and Hell. However, the other three powers were extremely weak and would likely never awaken.
After all, Ishida Aoi was merely an experimental subject created by Yamabuki Chidori using her own blood.
This is a game of chess that has lasted for a thousand years.
"Remember, when shooting arrows, your mind must be calm, and don't let anything outside affect you." Yamabuki Chidori guided Ishida Aoi's power step by step. He wanted Ishida Aoi to gradually increase her strength, so that he could absorb more power when he did so.
Ishida Aoi himself didn't even notice that his Reiatsu was silently increasing.
"Whoosh!"
The arrow flew from his hand and hit the bullseye.
"You have good talent." Yamabuki Chidori nodded slightly.
Ishida Aoi looked at Yamabuki Chidori, seemingly wanting to say something but then stopping herself.
"Say what you want to say. In this world, your brothers might betray you, but I won't," Yamabuki Chidori said gently.
Ishida Aoi asked timidly, "Where did you buy that sparkly bow? I want my mom to buy me one too!"
Yamabuki Chidori casually conjured Spirit Bow: "This wasn't bought; your family was born with this ability. Anyone can do it through cultivation."
Chapter Twenty-Five: The Boy Development Plan
Ishida Aoi cast an envious glance his way. How cool it would be if he could use such a sparkling weapon!
Yamabuki Chidori looked at the child in front of him with a smile. From the moment he was born, the child's fate was already sealed. He was an experimental subject that he had carefully cultivated. In the end, the child's power would be devoured by him and become part of his nourishment. Therefore, before that happened, he had to make the child strengthen himself.
Even a piglet should be raised to adulthood before being slaughtered!
"I can teach you if you want to! But you can't tell your mom and dad, okay? If you've thought it through, let's pinky swear!" Yamabuki Chidori extended her little finger, and Ishida Aoi nodded without hesitation, happily extending her little finger to pinky swear with Yamabuki Chidori that they would never tell anyone else about this.
Ishida Aoi is also a genius in controlling Reishi. She was able to condense Spirit Bow in just one night, and even use Reishi to condense other kinds of weapons.
However, the other three powers within this child are extremely weak. Unless Yamabuki Chidori actively shares her power with him, the other three powers will never awaken in his lifetime.
Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, both brothers are fifteen years old.
The Reiatsu of the two brothers also underwent a dramatic change. Although Ishida Aki had awakened Quincy abilities under his parents' guidance, the difference in Reiatsu between the two children was like heaven and earth compared to his younger Younger Brother.
At best, Ishida Aki only possesses the abilities of an ordinary Shinigami member, while Ishida Aoi's blood pressure is already close to that of a Shinigami Seated Officer, allowing her to easily kill ordinary Hollows.
However, after doing this once, Ishida Aoi was hung up and severely beaten by Yamabuki Chidori, who explained the consequences to him: if the Quincy were not restrained and slaughtered Hollows at will, it would lead to the imbalance of the world and the eventual collapse of the Three Realms!
Upon learning how dangerous her ability was, Ishida Aoi immediately vowed never to use Quincy abilities to kill Hollows again.
After ten years of getting along, Ishida Aoi has become very attached to Yamabuki Chidori. In his heart, this older brother who always looks young is like his father and Teacher.
The autumn wind was bleak, Yamabuki Chidori leaned against a big tree to rest. For the past ten years or so, apart from dealing with his work in Soul Society, he had spent most of his time with Ishida Aoi, as if he were raising a little pet.
Half asleep, he felt someone gently stroking his nose with a straw. When he opened his eyes, he saw Ishida Aoi smiling at him. Even though he was fifteen years old, this boy was still very introverted in front of strangers and never took the initiative to talk to anyone. Over time, his parents and older brother got used to his personality.
"Don't disturb my sleep! I worked overtime last night grading documents and didn't sleep until late!" Yamabuki Chidori lazily turned over, wanting to go back to sleep.
Ishida Aoi asked in a low voice, "Is your work as a Shinigami really that hard? Do you have to review documents and stuff?"
"You'll know after you die," Yamabuki Chidori replied vaguely with her eyes closed.
"Death!" Ishida Aoi was somewhat wary of this word, which was normal. Death is the enemy of any living being, and no one wants to die if they can live a peaceful and happy life.
But over the past decade, Yamabuki Chidori's views on death have changed significantly.
Because he can freely travel World of the Living, the Soul Society, and Hell, even if his Reiatsu is insufficient, his soul will dissipate into the world after death, return to heaven and earth, and then be reborn in some new form!
"Actually, I came to see you today because I have something to discuss!" Ishida Aoi said shyly.
"What do you need me for? What could it be?" Yamabuki Chidori asked.
Ishida Aoi whispered, "Actually, my parents arranged a marriage for me today, hoping I can get married and have children soon to continue the family bloodline!"
A glint appeared in Yamabuki Chidori's eyes. This was a good thing. As Ishida Aoi was an experimental subject he had personally cultivated, he naturally wanted to breed as many offspring as possible, because these offspring would all retain Yamabuki Chidori's power.
In a way, they can be considered his descendants.
It's like the relationship between Kurosaki Ichigo and Yhwach.
Ishida Aoi seemed hesitant and unsure of where to begin.
Yamabuki Chidori, being an experienced person, could tell at a glance what this kid was thinking.
He and Unohana have been married for over ten years. In the first few years, they treated each other as lovers, but as time went by, they became indispensable family members, supporting each other through thick and thin, and entered the life of an old married couple ahead of time!
So he could tell at a glance that this guy probably didn't want to go on a blind date.
"You don't like that girl? Or do you already have someone else you like?" Yamabuki Chidori asked.
Ishida Aoi was, after all, just a fifteen-year-old boy. Faced with such a direct question, his face turned red, and he stammered, "Actually, I like Kyoko, but... but Kyoko's family are just ordinary businessmen, and my parents probably won't agree!"
In those days, merchants had a very low social status.
As a renowned nobleman in Kyoto, how could Ishida Oboro possibly allow his son to marry a merchant's daughter?
What I said would bring shame to the family.
Yamabuki Chidori had also met the girl named Kyoko. She was a very cheerful and lively girl, as well as a gentle and considerate one. It can only be said that this guy has good taste.
"Brother Yamabuki, what would you do if it were you?" Ishida Aoi asked in a low voice.
Torn between the lover you cherish and the reputation of your family, how should you choose?
"Only children make choices. Just marry them both, and that's it!" Yamabuki Chidori said calmly. "What's so great about having three wives and four concubines if a man is capable? Even if you have three thousand beauties in your harem, no one will dare to say a word against you!"
"A harem... a harem of three thousand beauties?" Ishida Aoi imagined the grand scene and was stunned. "How many wives does Yamabuki- san have? Yamabuki- san must have a very high status in Soul Society, right? And you're already married, aren't you?"
"I... cough cough, we're discussing your problem now, let's not change the subject. This is the only way to live up to your lover's expectations and your parents' wishes, right? If you like other girls in the future, you can marry them too, and have a bunch of kids to expand your family line. Your parents will be very happy." Yamabuki Chidori had a fake smile on her face.
The boy was completely oblivious to the faint, eerie smile on Yamabuki Chidori's face; he only felt as if he had opened the door to a new world.
"I've made up my mind! I want both!"
Chapter Twenty-Six: Only Children Make Choices
After receiving the answer, Ishida Aoi ran home as fast as she could and went to her parents.
"Mom and Dad, I have something to tell you. It's about that blind date." Ishida Aoi mustered her courage. "Actually, I already have a girl I like. Her name is Kyoko, the daughter of a fishmonger at the market..."
Ishida Oboro was wearing a gorgeous Kimono. Although she was over thirty years old, she looked like a girl in her early twenties.
Seeing her son defy her, Ishida Oboro wasn't angry. Instead, she was somewhat surprised because her son had always been quiet and reserved, rarely expressing his opinions. As a mother, she was afraid that her son would suffer, so of course she wanted to prepare the best for him.
The blind date she arranged for her son was a young lady from a noble family. Although her family's status was not as high as theirs, the girl was very gentle and lovely. Ishida Oboro had experienced too much in her life and believed that she had a good eye for people. She was sure that if her son married that girl, they would have a very happy future.
But now his son is actually opposing his opinion.
She wasn't angry; in fact, she was quite happy!
This at least shows that Ishida Aoi is not a child without his own opinions; on the contrary, he has his own ideas, and outsiders cannot change his mind.
As for the Kyoko was, Ishida Oboro actually knew her. She was the daughter of a fishmonger. Although her family had some assets, the gap between them and the Ishida Family was still enormous.
