Kuchiki Kyōka struggled to his feet using his sword as a crutch. He had lost so much blood that he could barely muster the strength to speak.

But there was no dejection on his face. If anything, he looked more determined. His opponent had once been a Captain; losing to him was understandable.

"Can you walk? If not, I'll take you back," Yamabuki Chidori asked.

Kuchiki Kyōka suddenly gripped Yamabuki Chidori's shoulder. "Chief Strategist, no swordsmanship is invincible, is it? Can you tell me how to counter that Swift Sword?"

Yamabuki Chidori sighed softly at his agitation. "Speed is what makes a sword technique nearly impossible to break. If you can't keep up with his speed, there's no point talking about counters. Your best option is to raise your Reiatsu."

"Training, real combat, speaking with your Zanpakuto—all of those can raise your Reiatsu. Hey, why are you swaying? Are you really all right?" Yamabuki Chidori asked, watching him with concern.

His wounds could be healed easily, but replacing the blood he had lost was another matter.
