Yamabuki Chidori and the gathered forces fought Yhwach as he seized the Soul King’s power and threatened the Three Realms. Chidori defeated Yhwach, stabilized the realms, and later retired to a quiet life with his family and friends.

• Yamabuki Chidori welcomed defecting Quincy into Soul Society, while Yhwach launched an assault on the Seireitei and entered the Soul King Palace with his forces.
• Yhwach manipulated Kurosaki Ichigo into cutting the Soul King, then absorbed the Soul King’s power as the Three Realms began to collapse.
• Yamabuki Chidori sat on Kurotsuchi Mayuri’s Simulated Throne to hold the Three Realms together while allies gathered to attack Wahrwelt.
• The assembled fighters battled Yhwach’s Schutzstaffel, and Yamabuki Chidori drained Gerard’s power through the blood-coated blade Zendouji Yuuhin used against him.
• Yhwach took Kurosaki Ichigo’s Hollow and Quincy powers and devoured Orihime Inoue’s Power of Rejection, while Haschwalth and Bazz-B secretly turned against him and sent Uryu Ishida to help.
• Aizen Sōsuke delayed Yhwach before Yamabuki Chidori dragged him into Hell, where Chidori fought him with Bankai, Perfect Sanctification, and Fullbring.
• Yamabuki Chidori erased Yhwach’s defenses, severed his head, and absorbed his powers, then returned and placed the Soul King’s characters on Aizen instead of accepting the role himself.
• Yamabuki Chidori retired with Retsu Unohana and Captain Commander Yamamoto, and ten years later he fished with Yoruichi while his system assigned mundane tasks.
