Ch. 2605Picking Up a Victim

Yrel’s attempt to assassinate Ner'zhul failed when demons shot down her mount, leaving her injured and pursued in the Sporeling Mire. Deathstroke and his companions rescued her, and after learning her name and mission, Su Ming revealed that he knew Prophet Velen was her teacher.

  • Yrel’s Void Ray was destroyed by demon bats, and she fell into the swamp with a fel wound in her stomach.
  • An Orc search party and a fel Dire Wolf cornered Yrel, and the wolf shattered her shield before Deathstroke shot it dead.
  • Deathstroke introduced himself as a human from Azeroth and used Cosmic Energy to dispel the fel energy in Yrel’s wound.
  • Jaina and Hermione attacked the Orcs while Yrel healed herself and explained that she was a priest of the Temple of Karabor on her way to assassinate Ner'zhul.
  • Su Ming asked whether Prophet Velen was Yrel’s teacher, and Yrel demanded to know how he knew.

Ch. 2606Impressions

Su Ming persuaded Yrel to join his party by demonstrating his strength and sowing doubts about the Naaru, while offering to help her kill Ner'zhul. Yrel agreed to teach Jaina about the Orcs’ crimes as they set out for Shadowmoon Burial Grounds.

  • Yrel prepared to continue her mission alone, but Su Ming offered to help her fight Ner'zhul, the Orcs, and the Burning Legion.
  • Su Ming seized an Orc rogue and had the serpent emerging from his shoulder bite off the Orc’s head, convincing Yrel of his strength.
  • Su Ming questioned Yrel’s faith in the Naaru and claimed their Holy Light exposed the Draenei to the Burning Legion; Yrel began doubting what she had been taught.
  • Su Ming promised to help Yrel deal with Ner'zhul and then accompany her to confront Velen and the Naaru.
  • Yrel agreed to explain the Draenei’s suffering to Jaina, and Su Ming led the group toward Shadowmoon Burial Grounds after the Orc search party was wiped out.

Ch. 2607Karabor

Deathstroke brought Yrel, Jaina, Hermione, and Khadgar to the Temple of Karabor as Orcs attacked, intending to preserve the Draenei and teach Jaina to identify battlefield threats. He pointed out that an Orc Fel Reaver could expose a sewer entrance and let the attackers breach the city.

  • Deathstroke flew toward the Temple of Karabor and had Strangle give the apprentices a Draenor language package while Yrel told Jaina about the Draenei’s history.
  • Deathstroke decided to help the Draenei hold the temple and preserve their population, while Yrel described the Orcs’ betrayal and Jaina witnessed the massacre from above.
  • The flying carpet broke through the aerial blockade and landed on the temple’s upper terrace, where Jaina asked Deathstroke why they had not landed on the city walls.
  • Deathstroke taught Jaina to identify and eliminate the greatest threat, pointing to the Fel Reaver as a danger that could reveal a sewer entrance beneath the temple walls.
  • Hermione recognized that Deathstroke’s proposed strategy involved using the sewers to attack.

Ch. 2608Opposing the Naaru

Su Ming fought the Orcish siege while persuading Yrel and Jaina that the Naaru had manipulated the Draenei and did not embody the Holy Light. He left Yrel fearing that A'dal planned to destroy Draenei technology and eliminate its technicians.

  • Su Ming divided the battlefield tasks among Hermione, Khadgar, himself, Jaina, and Yrel, then shot at Fel Reavers while discussing Draenei technology with Yrel.
  • Su Ming suggested that the Naaru had deceived the Draenei, and Yrel began questioning her faith after noticing the vindicators’ fervent Holy Light slogans.
  • Su Ming told Yrel that Zela was the Naaru’s true leader and that A'dal was only their public representative.
  • Su Ming explained to Jaina that the Naaru were crystallized Holy Light energy, while the Holy Light itself could be used independently of them.
  • Su Ming warned Yrel that A'dal might be planning to eliminate the Draenei technicians and their technology.

Ch. 2609On the Holy Light

Yrel believed Deathstroke’s claims that the Naaru had deceived the Draenei and resolved to confront them. After Deathstroke devastated the battlefield with unfamiliar cosmic energy, she led him and the others to Velen aboard Tempest Keep and attacked A'dal.

  • Deathstroke told Yrel that the Naaru planned to abandon Draenor’s survivors and had manipulated Velen with false promises about reclaiming Argus.
  • Yrel urged Deathstroke to expose the Naaru to Velen, and he claimed that Velen had been deceived and should speak with the dead Archbishop Faol.
  • Deathstroke destroyed the Fel Reavers and the Hand of Gul'dan volcano with cosmic energy, driving the Orcs and demons to retreat and leaving the Draenei defenders stunned.
  • Yrel led Deathstroke, Jaina, Hermione, and Khadgar through Tempest Keep to confront Velen and the Naaru.
  • Seeing seven or eight Naaru surrounding her teacher, Yrel shouted at Velen and hurled her hammer at A'dal.

Ch. 2610Cornered

Yrel attacked A'dal and rejected the Naaru's authority, declaring that the exiles were Eredar and awakening her own Silver Holy Light. Su Ming restrained the Naaru's defenders and struck A'dal down, leaving the confrontation at its climax.

  • Yrel struck A'dal with her hammer and told Velen that the Naaru were not representatives of the Holy Light.
  • Yrel declared that the exiles were Eredar, while Velen defended the Naaru and struggled to respond.
  • Hermione immobilized Velen and sent him flying to Khadgar, who caught him.
  • Su Ming approached the Naaru, shattered their calming song, and cleaved A'dal in two with his greatsword.

Ch. 2611Handing Out Meal Packages

Su Ming and his allies destroyed the Naaru in Tempest Keep, forcing Yrel and Velen to confront their dependence on them. Velen accepted that he had been wrong, while Su Ming promised possible human aid in retaking Argus and left the future in the Draenei’s hands.

  • Su Ming killed A'dal, and Cloak devoured its core while Yrel joined the fight against the remaining Naaru.
  • Hermione, Jaina, and Su Ming helped kill the Naaru as Khadgar shielded Velen, and Cloak received several more cores as a ten-year food supply.
  • Su Ming left Tempest Keep to deal with another Naaru at the Exodar, gather fruit at the Botanica, and inspect the Exodar’s technology before returning.
  • Velen admitted he could no longer foresee the future and recognized Su Ming as the one who changed everything.
  • Su Ming told Velen that the Draenei had repeated the mistake of relying on others for power, and Velen admitted his error.

Ch. 2612Joy and Sorrow

With Velen rallying the Draenei behind Yrel, Su Ming promised them refuge on Azeroth and led the group toward Shadowmoon Valley to kill Ner'zhul. Ner'zhul learned that his forces had suffered devastating losses and ordered an aerial attack, leaving the coming battle unresolved.

  • Velen regained the technicians' support, brought the shaman forces and some Vindicators behind Yrel, and planned a public assembly to expose the Naaru.
  • Su Ming took Yrel and the others west toward Shadowmoon Valley, promising that the Draenei could shelter on Azeroth and later reclaim Argus.
  • Khadgar agreed to support the Draenei's arrival and discussed raising Dalaran into the sky, while Su Ming warned him away from Karazhan's dangers.
  • Ner'zhul berated Teron Gorefiend after Kil'jaeden refused to explain the devastating beam of light that had destroyed Draenei and Orc forces.
  • Teron Gorefiend reported that the Orcs had lost seventy thousand warriors and the Legion more than twenty thousand, so Ner'zhul ordered the Bat Riders to attack from the air.

Ch. 2613Arrival

Su Ming and his companions infiltrated Shadowmoon Burial Grounds, where Yrel avenged her family by killing Ner'zhul and Teron Gorefiend. A portal opened and Archimonde arrived, leaving Su Ming to confront the demon commander alone.

  • Su Ming blinded Ner'zhul and Teron Gorefiend with a Concussion Grenade, then Yrel smashed them to death with her hammer.
  • Su Ming received Gin's report of a worldwide blizzard on Earth-0 and told him to return to Sepulk while the Justice League investigated.
  • Khadgar denied activating the runes as the Magic Circle lit up, the burial grounds shook, and a portal opened in the sky.
  • Archimonde emerged from the portal, and Su Ming told his companions to stay with Khadgar while he flew out to face the demon.
  • Su Ming struck Archimonde hard enough to send him staggering, then raised his greatsword for a crushing slash.

Ch. 2614The Necromantic Traitor

Deathstroke defeated Archimonde and led the Draenei toward Azeroth, while Dalaran's Council discovered Kel'Thuzad's necromancy and found that he had escaped. The chapter left the Burning Legion driven from Draenor but its larger war unresolved, and Kel'Thuzad at large.

  • Deathstroke wore Archimonde down with repeated cuts, then strangled him with Godslayer as the demon's soul escaped through a green vortex.
  • The Burning Legion's demons fled Draenor, and Archimonde's corpse decayed to a skeleton while Deathstroke searched it for loot.
  • Su Ming told Yrel that the war would continue until the Eredar reclaimed Argus, then took Jaina and the Draenei fleet toward Azeroth.
  • Antonidas discovered Kel'Thuzad's zombie mouse and secretly gathered the Council and guards to arrest his disciple.
  • Kel'Thuzad's explosive, corrosive zombies held off the attackers, and the Council found his laboratory abandoned except for the equipment and research he left behind.

Ch. 2615Stirring Up Trouble

Kael'thas lied to Arthas that Jaina had left with Deathstroke, inflaming the young Prince's heartbreak and anger. Arthas returned to Lordaeron determined to gain power, and Uther told him about Orc Shamans and the Elemental Spirits.

  • Antonidas assigned the Great Mages and their apprentices to search for Kel'Thuzad and detain anyone who had studied necromancy.
  • Kael'thas brooded over his defeat and resented Jaina, Hermione, and Deathstroke, though he acknowledged Hermione's strength.
  • Arthas asked Kael'thas where Jaina was, and Kael'thas falsely claimed she had left Dalaran with Deathstroke and would not return.
  • Arthas believed Kael'thas, discarded the flowers he had brought for Jaina, and asked Uther to train him harder.
  • As they headed back to Lordaeron, Uther told Arthas about Orc Shamans and their power from the Elemental Spirits, and Arthas eagerly listened.

Ch. 2616Kalimdor

After arriving on Azuremyst Isle, the Eredar began rebuilding their home while Velen discussed joining Azeroth’s Alliance with Slade. Slade prepared to take Yrel, Hermione, and Jaina to negotiate with the Night Elves, leaving Khadgar to help Velen settle the refugees.

  • The Eredar fleet arrived at Azuremyst Isle, where Velen and Yrel began organizing farms and housing for their people.
  • Slade reassured Velen that humans were unlike the Orcs and directed him to discuss a written treaty with Khadgar.
  • Slade explained that the Eredar could join the Alliance, which united diverse races through shared culture and ideals.
  • Slade pointed out the Night Elves’ distant home at Nordrassil and said he intended to ask them to join the Alliance.
  • Slade invited Yrel, Hermione, and Jaina to accompany him while Khadgar stayed behind to help Velen settle the Eredar.

Ch. 2617Remaking the Future

Su Ming flew toward the Vault of the Wardens to rescue Illidan Stormrage, hoping to recruit the Demon Hunter and unite him with Tyrande. He explained Illidan’s history and the Demon Hunters’ powers to his companions as they continued toward the Broken Isles.

  • Su Ming decided to rescue Illidan from the Vault of the Wardens and considered killing Malfurion while helping Illidan marry Tyrande.
  • Hermione asked whether they were flying in the wrong direction, and Su Ming explained that they were heading to the Broken Isles to rescue a Night Elf.
  • Su Ming warned Yrel that Illidan was a Demon Hunter who wielded demonic power, and Yrel said she would accept him as an ally.
  • Jaina recognized the target as a Night Elf hero from the era of the Well of Eternity’s destruction, and Su Ming confirmed that Illidan had blown it up.
  • Su Ming rewarded Jaina with stockings, while Hermione looked on with a dead-eyed expression.

Ch. 2618Vault of the Wardens

Su Ming led Jaina, Hermione, and Yrel into the Vault of the Wardens to reach Illidan and his followers, using Strangle to bypass the Night Elf guards without killing them. The group continued deeper into the prison as more Watchmen surrounded them, leaving Maiev Shadowsong still ahead.

  • Su Ming brought the group to Watchers' Isle and explained that the Watchmen guarded the underground prison according to ancient rules.
  • Su Ming sent Strangle through a crack beneath the entrance door, and it knocked out the Watchmen and opened the way inside.
  • Su Ming told the group he had spared the guards because he wanted to win allies, while Strangle gave Hermione another language through its tendrils.
  • Hermione illuminated the underground halls as the group pressed onward through the prison.
  • When at least a hundred Watchmen surrounded them, Su Ming had Strangle knock them unconscious while the group continued forward.

Ch. 2619Renovate at Once

Deathstroke defeated Maiev and freed Illidan from his crystal prison, then tested whether the imprisoned Demon Hunter was still in control of his mind. Illidan survived the fall into the Abyss, and Deathstroke introduced himself and proposed a deal.

  • Deathstroke offered Maiev information about Jarod in exchange for Illidan, but Maiev rejected the offer and attacked.
  • Deathstroke subdued Maiev with a Taser and led the group through the gate to Illidan's prison.
  • Deathstroke and Yrel struck Illidan's green crystal cage, and Deathstroke shattered it with a powerful hammer blow that sent Illidan into the Abyss.
  • Illidan flew back onto the platform, injured but alive, and challenged the group.
  • Deathstroke confirmed Illidan was still mentally himself, introduced himself as the Sorcerer Supreme, and said he wanted to make a deal.

Ch. 2620Negotiating Terms

Deathstroke persuaded Illidan to leave his prison by offering to help him marry Tyrande, then returned his weapons and freed several surviving Illidari. Illidan emerged from Watchers' Isle uncertain of his next move, and Deathstroke arranged for Jaina to open a portal to Tempest Keep so they could talk.

  • Illidan recalled how he had taken the blame for the Well of Eternity's destruction and spent ten thousand years imprisoned under Maiev Shadowsong's watch.
  • Deathstroke offered to help Illidan marry Tyrande, and Illidan agreed to leave the prison if he could reclaim his warglaives and free his people.
  • The group recovered the Warglaives of Azzinoth and the Illidari's weapons, then freed surviving subordinates while Illidan killed those transformed by demons.
  • Deathstroke fed the escaping Illidari as the group grew by seven or eight people, and Illidan asked him what he planned to do next.
  • Deathstroke told Jaina to open a Teleportation Portal to Tempest Keep so they could discuss their plans there.

Ch. 2621Falling into Hell

Su Ming and Jaina accidentally teleported their group to Stormwind Keep, where Deathstroke reunited with Varian and began discussing the Alliance. Meanwhile, Deadpool died fighting Thanos, fell into Hell, and met Loki, who saw a chance to use him to rescue her brother.

  • Deathstroke caught Bolvar's sword and proved his identity to Varian with a shared martial-arts passphrase.
  • Jaina explained that she had mistakenly teleported the group to Stormwind Keep instead of Tempest Keep.
  • Su Ming gathered Varian, Illidan, and Yrel in the palace garden to discuss the Alliance.
  • Deadpool recalled challenging Thanos after Peter's death and being killed when he fought without the weapons in his backpack.
  • Deadpool fell into Hell's lava, emerged unharmed, and encountered Loki.
  • Loki considered using Deadpool to get her brother out of Hell.

Ch. 2622Death and Life

In Hell, Deadpool and Loki planned to persuade Mephisto to release the dead Asgardians, though Deadpool proposed an unlikely scheme involving other Hell Lords. Elsewhere, Death dismissed Thanos’s offerings, and he decided to kill everyone in the universe to win her affection.

  • Deadpool told Loki he would reform Mephisto with love, then suggested they invite other Hell Lords to deal with him.
  • Loki explained that Mephisto enjoyed tormenting people and seeking power, and that his son Blackheart was trying to rebel.
  • Thanos offered Death half the living beings on Earth and promised to bring her every soul after collecting the Infinity Stones.
  • Death dismissed Thanos and left after he presented her with flowers.
  • Thanos concluded that Death was unhappy because he had not killed enough people, then returned to his warship.

Ch. 2623A Way Forward

Su Ming agreed to negotiate with the Orcs and proposed rebuilding the Alliance under Stormwind’s leadership. As Orgrim Doomhammer prepared to seek a path for the Frostwolves, a mysterious visitor offered to show him one.

  • Varian said Stormwind would welcome friendly races but advised Yrel to speak with King Terenas about joining the Alliance.
  • Su Ming explained that the internment camps were straining the Alliance and proposed sending the Orcs back to Draenor before rebuilding the Alliance under Stormwind.
  • Varian agreed that Su Ming should settle the Orc matter first, and Su Ming departed to negotiate.
  • Orgrim Doomhammer told Drek'Thar that Durotan’s child, Go'el, was alive in the internment camp beneath Durnholde Keep and that Grom Hellscream had escaped with a few Warsong Orcs.
  • Orgrim urged Drek'Thar to seek a future for the Frostwolves and the Horde, but an unknown figure entered and offered to show them a way forward.

Ch. 2624Frostwolf Clan

Su Ming subdued Orgrim and Drek'Thar, then offered the Horde a chance to return to Draenor in exchange for accepting his conditions and trading through Wilson Enterprises. Orgrim agreed, and Su Ming prepared to help reclaim the imprisoned Orcs and transport them home.

  • Su Ming incapacitated Orgrim and Drek'Thar and revealed that he had put the Frostwolves and their wolves to sleep.
  • Su Ming identified himself as the human who had defeated Medivh fifteen years earlier and said he had killed Ner'zhul and Archimonde, then offered to return the Orcs to Draenor.
  • Su Ming demanded that the Horde never invade Azeroth again, trade only through Wilson Enterprises, and make Varok Saurfang its Warchief.
  • Orgrim and Drek'Thar accepted the terms and agreed to pay resources to redeem imprisoned Orcs and compensate the families of those killed.
  • Su Ming offered to advance money to redeem Thrall and other imprisoned Orcs and said his fleet would transport the Horde back to Draenor.
