Chapter Summaries

As a vast black planet fell toward them, the heroes searched for a way to stop it, and Bucky prepared to sacrifice himself with a powerful punch. Squirrel Girl insisted she could hit the planet back, so Iron Man flew her toward it, leaving the outcome unresolved.

• Steve stopped Tony from arguing with Loki and asked Ant-Man to shrink the group and dig a shelter, but Scott said he could not dig tunnels.
• Bucky secretly gathered qi and prepared to destroy the falling planet, but Squirrel Girl's tail brushed his nose and made him sneeze, dispersing his qi.
• Squirrel Girl told Steve and Tony that she could hit the planet back if someone strong enough could fly her up to it.
• Tony agreed to carry Squirrel Girl, and Iron Man flew her toward the black planet as the others watched.

Squirrel Girl knocked the enormous black sphere away, creating an opening for Su Ming and his companions to ambush the black-robed figure. Thanos tore off the figure’s head, which Su Ming took for examination.

• Su Ming and his companions prepared to use Squirrel Girl’s attack on the black sphere to distract the black-robed figure.
• Iron Man launched Squirrel Girl into the air, and she punched the black sphere into the distant sky.
• The black-robed figure froze in surprise, allowing Cloak to wrap them up.
• Thanos tore off the figure’s head and handed it to Su Ming.

Deathstroke and his allies learned that the attacker was an Eternal with accomplices, while Thanos said he would kill them all. Deathstroke brought Thanos to the Guardians, where Gamora, Nebula, and Drax immediately charged him.

• Thanos crushed the Eternal attacker’s head, and Strangle searched his memories for clues.

Su Ming ended the fighting between Thanos and the others, then prepared to brief his allies after Strangle read information from the captured head. The Adjutant began arranging a meeting and preparing to take control of the Triple Dimension.

• Su Ming explained to Dr. Banner that the Eternals were creations of the Colorful Celestials and were following orders to target humanity.
• Su Ming revealed that roughly sixty or seventy Eternals were preparing terrorist attacks on Earth and humanity’s New Colonies.
• Su Ming said humanity’s spread across the universe threatened the Eternals’ followers and their status as gods.

Su Ming divided the Eternals into factions and sent the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents back to Earth to prepare a gamma detector and hunt the hostile ones. He left the Guardians of the Galaxy and Jessica's team behind while Adjutant began the teleportation and sent intelligence to the Justice League.

• Su Ming explained that some Eternals wanted to negotiate while others intended to fight humanity, and he held Little Gold's severed head as evidence of the threat.
• Dr. Banner offered to build a detector for the Eternals' Gamma Ray emissions, and Tony encouraged him to be more confident.

Bliss compared intelligence about the mysterious Blank with Zorn Batman, who asked her to help investigate a sorcerer on Earth-0. She refused to leave Gotham openly and contacted the Legends, realizing Deathstroke wanted her to travel covertly to Earth-0 and watch Zorn.

• Bliss accepted Zorn Batman's call and confirmed that Deathstroke had sent them both intelligence about Blank.
