Background / History

Stone Village and the Great Wilderness

After learning about his origins, Shi Hao trained intensely in the mountain forests near Stone Village, leaving early and returning late, often covered in bruises. At seven years old, he reunited with Lin Fan and eagerly refined the essence of the pure-blooded beast meat brought for the village feast 139.

Shi Hao resolved to leave the Great Wilderness through his own efforts. Lin Fan supported that independence rather than taking him directly to a better cultivation environment, believing that overcoming hardship would benefit his future 140.

Kunpeng Inheritance and His Grandfather

Shi Hao returned to Stone Village after more than two years away with the complete Kun Peng Precious Technique. He offered to teach it to Lin Fan and the Willow Deity as repayment for their help; Lin Fan instead exchanged the Immortal Tribulation Sword Art for it 298.

Learning that Shi Zhongtian was still alive, Shi Hao wanted to leave immediately for the Stone Kingdom Imperial Capital. The villagers persuaded him to rest first, and Lin Fan gave him the Void War Halberd to make the journey safer 298 299.

The Ancient Gathering

Brought into a special point in ancient time, Shi Hao fought Lin Fan, who initially concealed his identity behind false names and a claim to be Shi Hao’s ancestor. Their physical exchanges and Immortal Tribulation Sword Art attacks ended evenly. Shi Hao recognized him after both displayed the Willow Deity Method 321 322 323.

Their stay ended with the catastrophic final battle of Immortal Ancient. Unable to intervene, Shi Hao watched acquaintances including Wang Xuewei, the child holding the Qilin, and Phoenix Maiden die 330.

Huang in the Upper Realm

Reports that Shi Hao had died fighting invading gods in the Lower Realm proved false. He reached the Upper Realm and became known as Huang, defeating Di Chong’s secondary body and clashing with the Celestial Clan 473.

During Immortal Ancient, Lin Fan secretly transported him to Di Chong’s secluded location and sealed the surrounding space. Shi Hao defeated and killed the Immortal Palace Successor. Later, when Heavenly Gods hunted the wounded Shi Hao for his immortal qi, Lin Fan covertly moved him to the Dragon Nest 499 509.

Shi Hao took first place in Immortal Ancient’s competition. In the Ancient Land Palace, the inheritance coffins refused to acknowledge him, so he carried one away rather than leave empty-handed 522 523.

After Shi Hao pursued Ning Chuan, Ning Chuan helped outside Cult Masters breach Immortal Ancient. The invaders trapped Shi Hao, but Lin Fan intervened in the form of the Chaos-World Demon Ape and publicly declared him his little brother 528 529 531.

Heavenly Deity Academy and Revenge

Defeating Lin Tian qualified Shi Hao for the Heavenly Deity Academy. He accepted after learning that Lin Fan had helped establish it, then charged visiting cultivators Saint Medicine to guide them to the Heaven Mending Sect 538.

At the academy gate, Lin Fan exposed Shi Hao’s disguise and helped him avenge his mistreatment by Yuan Qing, who had sent him to the Primordial Ancient Mine. Shi Hao beheaded Yuan Qing after Lin Fan crippled him. Lin Fan also forced Wang Xi to remove the Diamond Bangle that had restrained Shi Hao as a battle servant 544 545.

Learning that the Feng Clan had orchestrated the plot, Shi Hao pursued Feng Xingtian and defeated him twice. Feng Zhao’s intervention threatened to kill the young cultivators, but Lin Fan broke the seal and killed him, allowing Shi Hao to continue the pursuit 548 549.

Lin Fan’s Disappearance

During a journey involving the River of Time, Shi Hao became the target of an ancient expert after touching a wine flask. Lin Fan fought the Red King, but disappeared afterward. Shi Hao returned with fragments of the Red King’s armor and reported the disappearance to the academy elders 559 560 561.

Following the elders’ instructions, Shi Hao concealed the event from Qingyi and later Yue Chan, claiming that Lin Fan had entered seclusion. He struggled with guilt and feared the consequences if they discovered the truth 561 573.

The Immortal-Breaking Curse

After Shi Hao slew an immortal, the Immortal Palace’s Supreme brought a Remnant Immortal’s decree demanding his death. Shi Hao used an Immortal Cauldron to batter the Bronze Immortal Palace and called Lin Fan’s true name when the Remnant Immortal appeared 589.

Another Remnant Immortal subsequently attempted to seize him as a hostage, nearly destroying his body and primordial spirit and afflicting him with the Immortal-Breaking Curse. Lin Fan repaired his injuries but could not remove the curse through outside power. Shi Hao reassured his parents, then departed to seize the treasures of the defeated Remnant Immortals’ allied sects 591 592.

He ultimately endured the curse and advanced to Extreme Dao Supreme. During these years, he led eight hundred Stone Village warriors into the Upper Realm, eliminated lingering threats, and founded the Heavenly Court 617.

Dharma-Ending Age and Immortality

Huo Ling’er’s fate differed from the seizure of Sin Province: she was not taken by An Lan. Lin Fan arranged for her to reappear on the day Shi Hao married Yun Xi, leaving Shi Hao caught between the two women 586 615.

Shi Hao later attended an Immortal Domain gathering on Lin Fan’s behalf. Although only a few dozen days passed outside, the Ancient Passage Land subjected him to several hundred thousand years of living reincarnation. He returned in his eighth lifetime, weary and furious at his treatment in the Immortal Domain 624.

While Lin Fan remained absent from public view, Shi Hao defended the Sacred Emperor Palace, killed an invading True Immortal from Fallen Immortal Ridge, and helped repel further incursions. He then became an immortal through his own Secret Realm method during the Dharma-Ending Age 628 629.

Immortal King and Realm-Wide Migration

After years of seclusion, Shi Hao became an Immortal King. During the Foreign Realm’s invasion, he confronted Wu Shang directly, preventing the titan from overwhelming the other defenders 657 658 660 665.

With their homeland shattered and cultivation increasingly difficult, Shi Hao and Lin Fan awakened Heavenly Soldiers and Generals sealed in divine source. Shi Hao then joined the other Immortal Kings in leading their forces into the Immortal Domain 667.

Appearance

  • Childhood clothing: Wore beast hides at seven years old 139.
  • Distinguishing features: Exceptionally bright eyes and gleaming white teeth; frequently returned from training dusty and disheveled 139.

Personality

Shi Hao combines intense determination with a mischievous, boastful streak. Learning his origins drove him to train harder, and he insisted on making his own way out of the Great Wilderness. His appetite and affection for beast milk remained recurring sources of embarrassment even after he became a renowned cultivator 139 140 300 497.

He is opportunistic about treasures and techniques: he sought Wang Xuewei’s Chaos-Quelling Art, carried away an inheritance coffin that would not open for him, and charged Saint Medicine for introductions to Lin Fan. These schemes coexist with gratitude—he initially offered his complete Kunpeng inheritance freely to repay Lin Fan and the Willow Deity 298 326 523 538.

Shi Hao refuses to accept the condemnation of his lineage as “Sin Blood,” defending his ancestors’ blood as evidence of great merit. He also hides his own distress to protect those close to him, reassuring his parents after being cursed and concealing Lin Fan’s disappearance to avoid alarming Yue Chan and Qingyi 528 561 573 592.
