Bjarngrim did not understand why Lord Loken was interested in these mortal creatures, much less why he wanted to wade into the murky waters of the war against the Scourge.
When the Scourge first rose in Northern Northrend, many sentinels had already noticed the undead creatures' unusual movements, but Lord Loken had taken no action.
Bjarngrim found their method of replenishing their ranks through slaughter utterly revolting. Deep down, he believed Lord Loken had merely tolerated the Scourge's expansion. After all, they were a special form of life, too.
What Bjarngrim had never expected, however, was that Lord Loken would actually help these undead monsters fight mortal creatures.
"Leave this place, mortals. Lord Loken has expressly forbidden any creature from entering the citadel." The Molten Giant, clad in metal armor and wielding a massive flaming hammer, warned the Decapitation Squad not to take another step.
Bjarngrim frowned slightly. He had not expected Volkhan to give Lord Loken away just like that. As a Guardian appointed by the Titan gods themselves, Lord Loken's protection of these foul undead creatures was hardly something to be proud of.
Sylvanas asked curiously, "Who is Loken? Is he the one responsible for creating the Undead Scourge?"
Volkhan heard the elf's muttering and snapped, "Silence, mortal! Lord Loken would never use such inferior magic to control mortal creatures."
"Then why are you guarding this palace?" Sylvanas could not make sense of these two towering guards' logic either. If they considered the Scourge villains, how could they shamelessly stand guard over its citadel?
Bjarngrim knew their position was indefensible, but orders were absolute. They had no room to think for themselves. Perhaps Lord Loken had other considerations.
"Mortals, you now have only two choices: leave, or face our wrath!"
Bjarngrim raised his blazing battle-axe and brought it
