"Wait! Look, the Nine-Tails is aiming at Hokage Rock! That's Hokage Rock, the symbol of all our past Hokage!"
"You beast! Uchiha brothers, hurry and get the villagers out! Our lives aren't worth much. We might as well charge back in and draw the Nine-Tails' attention!"

Unlike the anxious Konoha civilians and shinobi, Uchiha Fugaku calmly organized everyone's retreat.
He only needed to obey Shisui Uchiha's orders.
As for Shisui Uchiha, he had noticed the Nine-Tails' actions long ago, but had no intention of paying him any attention.

He still remembered all too clearly how this Wooden Man had smacked him on the head back then, knocking him straight down.
At that thought, the Nine-Tails immediately changed his aim, whipping his head around to fire the Tailed Beast Bomb in his mouth at Shisui Uchiha.

Terrifying chakra fluctuations erupted in an instant.
The Tailed Beast Bomb, brimming with destructive power, sent terrifying shock waves surging outward, ravaging the surrounding buildings and trees.
Even the massive vines binding him began to snap one after another.
It was like a god unleashing divine punishment!
But before the Nine-Tails could roar in triumph, an enormous hand suddenly reached forward.
Before everyone's eyes, it caught the destructive Tailed Beast Bomb barehanded and forcibly stuffed it back into the Nine-Tails' mouth.
The Nine-Tails' eyes flew wide, as though he had seen a ghost.

The next instant, a tremendous explosion erupted inside the Nine-Tails' mouth, blasting his body into a swollen mass before it returned to its original shape.
Countless cracks covered the surface of his body!

The next instant, two Wood Dragons shot out from either side and coiled around his body, restricting his movements once again.

As Shisui Uchiha's voice faded, he abruptly clapped his hands together.

One Wooden Man after another emerged from the center of the explosion, surrounding the Nine-Tails.
The Nine-Tails was utterly dumbfounded.
But before he could react, the other four Wooden Men around him stepped forward and each delivered a punch to his head.
An uppercut.
A downward hook.
A left hook.

"Then let me give you a proper reminder of Teacher's kindly lecture."

Agonized beastly howls echoed throughout Konoha, lingering without end.
While Konoha's shinobi watched in disbelief as Shisui Uchiha thrashed the Nine-Tails...
Elsewhere, the scarlet Sharingan of Obito Uchiha, who was being pursued by Minato Namikaze, flickered slightly.
"Heh, our esteemed Fourth Hokage, listen to how excited the Nine-Tails sounds. You'd better hurry back and protect your village."
"Keep chasing me, and Konoha will be gone."

At Obito Uchiha's words, Minato Namikaze's expression darkened.

The next instant, Obito Uchiha's body was drawn straight into his Mangekyō Sharingan.
When he reappeared, he was already atop the Nine-Tails' head.

Obito Uchiha slowly rose to his feet on the Nine-Tails' head, then flicked his robes and abruptly spread his arms.
"Hahaha! Konoha! Be destroyed! Be destroyed by the Nine-Tails' absolute power!"
But before Obito Uchiha could activate his Mangekyō Sharingan to control the Nine-Tails and continue destroying Konoha...

What the hell were these Wooden Men and Wood Dragons surrounding the Nine-Tails?
And what was going on with that bunch of Uchiha and the others standing off to the side, watching the show?
