Aiur Star System

Shen Jun named the star system containing Aiur the Aiur Star System. Its overall diameter was roughly one light-year, with one star and five planets. Aiur was the second.

The first planet was too close to the star. It was the smallest, had the highest surface temperatures, and relatively limited resources, but it possessed extraordinarily abundant metal deposits and no natural satellites. Because of the lava covering its surface and the volcanic ash filling its skies, Shen Jun named it Char.

The second planet, Aiur, was a jungle world with a rich ecosystem. Vegetation covered an astonishing seventy percent of its land area, while its ocean-to-land ratio was 6:4.

The third was a massive gas giant with seven natural satellites. It could yield extremely abundant Vespene Gas and was named Midir. A month and a half earlier, the Protoss had begun building numerous extraction chambers on two of its moons to refine Vespene Gas and replenish the fleet's energy reserves.

The fourth and fifth planets were too far from the star and were almost entirely frozen worlds. Whether more resources lay beneath their surfaces would require a long period of exploration. Shen Jun simply named them Kaya Star and Blai Star.

The Trigonians had already entered the vicinity of Blai Star. The leader of this Trigon Civilization was Variegated Blue. In terms of the genetic warrior system, its strength placed it at the level of a Second Generation Trigonians Warrior.

In this era, Third Generation God Bodies had only been developed not long ago. Even most soldiers of god-making civilizations had only mass-evolved into first-generation super soldiers. Second-generation warriors were elite minorities, while those who truly possessed God Bodies numbered only a handful.

The Trigonians Shen Jun had defeated on Giant Elephant Star had merely been first-generation.

In terms of technology, the Trigonians were clearly behind the God River Bodies. They did not even possess a single third-generation Trigonian. They continuously evolved their psychic attack capabilities, but their upper limit had already been determined.

Of course, Third Generation God Bodies were also exceptionally rare within God River Body civilizations.

The evidence was obvious. Even twenty thousand years later, when fourth-generation God Body technology had been developed, Third Generation God Bodies were still scarce. The resources and time required for the birth of a god were absolutely beyond an ordinary person's imagination.

Keisha's disciple Yan, after seven thousand years, had only advanced to godhood by activating the Void Engine. Only then had she gone on to inherit the Holy Body as if blessed by fate.

Naturally, second-generation warriors now were also vastly different from second-generation warriors twenty thousand years later. Before the Trigonians arrived, Shen Jun had already made his arrangements throughout the star system.

Two hundred reconnaissance aircraft circled in the orbits of Kaya Star and Blai Star, monitoring the Trigonians' movements at all times.

Every reconnaissance aircraft employed the Nerazim's light-bending technology and Invisibility Force Fields, achieving true invisibility. They also possessed all manner of shielding technology, making it difficult for the Trigonians to detect them.

Shen Jun had no intention of allowing the Trigonian army to cross Midir's orbit. He intended to annihilate the enemy in one stroke within the hundreds of millions of kilometers of space between Kaya Star and Midir.

Arbiters were relatively old Protoss warship models, and only high-ranking officials of the Archon class were qualified to pilot them. Their functions were numerous: they could create spatial rifts to warp in small units, release Invisibility Force Fields to keep nearby fleets hidden from the enemy, and even emit small Stasis Fields to restrain enemy movements for several seconds.

This was practically a budget version of a Mothership!

Unfortunately, the Phase Disruptor Cannons mounted on Arbiters were not particularly powerful. Their firepower was weak, and overall, they were more of a support-oriented warship.

Five thousand Phoenix Fighters and fifteen hundred Void Rays hid within the Invisibility Force Fields of five hundred Arbiters. Ten carriers were docked near Midir's mining base, ready to enter the battlefield at any moment.

It was worth mentioning that the exclusive flagships of several Protoss heroes had also been constructed. Naturally, they were not complete versions; in more than half a year, only half of them could be recreated.

Tassadar's Star Shuttle carrier, Zeratul's Void Seeker, Selandis's Purification carrier, Alarak's Death carrier, and Vorazun's Prophet.

Among them, the Void Seeker had not been forged by the Protoss. Before the StarCraft Universe completely collapsed, Shen Jun had specifically asked Rohana to warp it over. It was also currently the only complete flagship.

Only Talandar's Ceberos was too enormous. Even now, less than a third of it had been completed.

"Variegated Blue... King, we... have entered... the Giant Elephant Star System..."

At the center of the massive army, a Second Generation Trigonians Warrior spoke to Variegated Blue. Their communication took place directly on the mental level, so they did not turn their heads.

"However... the signal from the advance force... we left on Giant Elephant Star... can no longer... be detected. Messages... receive no response."

More than a dozen of the most elite pilots flew reconnaissance aircraft through the Trigonians, braving the danger of being struck at any moment as they penetrated deep into the enemy formation to gather intelligence.

Although the reconnaissance aircraft possessed endless methods of invisibility and anti-detection, there was still a risk of discovery.

Kerasul had never stopped researching Trigonian corpses. It was impossible to imagine the extent of his genius—he had actually deciphered the Trigonian language through a single corpse!

Every reconnaissance aircraft carried a Trigonian-language translator that could intermittently translate Trigonian conversations.

"...Someone... has invaded... our... colony world..."

Variegated Blue listened to the report from its subordinate without surprise. "The angels... could learn... our destination... Their speed was... faster than ours."

"Can these ugly Trigonians talk any faster?"

A reconnaissance aircraft pilot complained. The translators could not interpret the Trigonian language in real time because the amount of data they needed to process was too immense; delays were unavoidable.

In short, Variegated Blue probably believed that the angels had reached Giant Elephant Star before them and wiped out their advance force. No one had expected the Protoss to suddenly emerge.

"Mysterious fellow, how will you win this war?"

He Xi monitored the battle from an asteroid in Blai Star's orbit. This position was far from Variegated Blue's army and would not be easily discovered.

Shen Jun had guessed that He Xi would not truly leave. She would certainly remain hidden within the Aiur System to observe the Protoss's every move, and Shen Jun naturally could not allow her to watch so openly.

He covered every Robotics Facility and Stargate with Invisibility Force Fields. The mining bases on Midir's moons were treated the same way.

Vespene Gas did not literally refer only to gas. It was produced through the mixed purification of various gases similar to hydrocarbons. These gases were often common in the universe, yet even immense quantities of them could only yield a small amount of Vespene Gas after purification. Therefore, only gaseous planets could usually refine Vespene Gas steadily.

Vespene Gas was not only an efficient, clean fuel. More importantly, it was one of the few substances capable of catalyzing psionic energy. When psionic warships used Vespene Gas as fuel, their output could receive a considerable boost.

In the entire Super God Universe, only the Protoss possessed the technology to refine Vespene Gas. How could Shen Jun possibly allow it to be exposed so easily?
