Chapters 76–100 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 76The spectacle he narrowly missed

Uchiha Fugaku backed away from opposing Uchiha Jing Xiu, who then traveled with Sasori toward the Land of Earth. They arrived too late to witness Might Duy’s Eight Gates battle, but Jing Xiu saved him and claimed four of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen’s blades.

  • Fugaku told Jiraiya and Minato that Jing Xiu’s confrontation with him was an internal Uchiha matter, then explained Jing Xiu’s seniority in the clan.
  • Jing Xiu told Sasori that Fugaku’s gradual approach would leave the Uchiha vulnerable, and the two set out for the Land of Earth to pursue Ōnoki’s Dust Release.
  • Jing Xiu and Sasori heard Might Duy open the Eighth Gate and rushed to the battlefield, where Duy had defeated four of the remaining Mist swordsmen while Juzo Biwa and Raiga Kurosuki escaped.
  • Jing Xiu gave the dying Might Duy a drop of Source of Life, and Duy asked him to tell Might Guy to surpass his limits.
  • Jing Xiu collected Hiramekarei, Exploding Blade Shibuki, Kabutowari, and Nuibari, while Sasori remembered Might Guy’s name.

Ch. 77Vanishing without a trace

Jing Xiu and Sasori infiltrated Iwagakure, where Jing Xiu used surveillance bugs to prepare a covert operation. After sending Sasori to secure their escape route, Jing Xiu vanished into an underground chamber beneath the Tsuchikage Building.

  • Jing Xiu told Sasori that Iwagakure had over thirty thousand registered ninja, then the two settled into a hotel and Sasori enjoyed the village’s food.
  • Jing Xiu and Sasori built more than a hundred surveillance bugs and spent several months changing identities to avoid Iwagakure’s Anbu.
  • Jing Xiu explained that the Four-Tails and Five-Tails Jinchūriki were outside the village and warned Sasori that intelligence was crucial before a battle.
  • Jing Xiu sent Sasori to hold Thread Gorge in the Land of Rain as their retreat route, while Sasori prepared to test his Performance of a Hundred Puppets.
  • Jing Xiu used his Water Release: Water Illusory Body Technique to conceal himself and entered an underground chamber beneath the Tsuchikage Building, where he stared at a yellow clay sculpture.

Ch. 78Dance

Jing Xiu stole Iwagakure’s Scrolls of Seals and an extraordinarily heavy figurine, then fought his way through the village’s defenders after they surrounded him. As Roshi faced him in a water prison, he asked the Four-Tails for help.

  • Jing Xiu broke the shrine’s sealing formulas, lifted the yellow-clay figurine, and found that it was too heavy for his Devouring Pouch Orb, so he carried it inside its shrine.
  • Jing Xiu gathered five Scrolls of Seals and left the underground chamber, unaware that the shrine on his back emitted unusual fluctuations.
  • Roshi, Taiseki, and Iwagakure’s ninja surrounded Jing Xiu outside the Tsuchikage Building and demanded that he surrender the shrine.
  • Jing Xiu ignored their demands and cut down Iwagakure’s fighters as he dodged Roshi’s Lava Release attacks.
  • Roshi ordered the remaining fighters to retreat and, trapped in a water prison with the Four-Tails, asked it for help.

Ch. 79Jing Xiu vs. Son Gokū

Jing Xiu fought Roshi and trapped him in a Mangekyō genjutsu, but Four-Tails Son Gokū took control of Roshi’s body and transformed. After hours of battle that devastated Iwagakure, Jing Xiu offered Son Gokū two choices, and Son Gokū unleashed Lava Release: Flower-Fruit Mountain.

  • Jing Xiu used Lightning Release to attack Roshi and trapped him in the Yomi genjutsu with his Mangekyō Sharingan.
  • Four-Tails Son Gokū took over Roshi’s body and forced a Complete Tailed Beast Transformation, interrupting Jing Xiu’s ocular technique and leaving Roshi comatose.
  • Jing Xiu and Four-Tails Son Gokū fought for hours, while Ōnoki rushed back to Iwagakure and much of the village was reduced to rubble.
  • Jing Xiu offered Son Gokū the choice of leaving with him or remaining sealed inside Roshi while Jing Xiu took them both.
  • Four-Tails Son Gokū asked who Jing Xiu was, then unleashed Lava Release: Flower-Fruit Mountain.

Ch. 80A landscape of devastation, seeds of hatred

Jing Xiu escaped Four-Tails Son Gokū’s attacks and left Iwagakure in ruins, while rescue workers saved a child named Dei. Three days later, reports of Jing Xiu’s battle spread across the Shinobi World as he faced two women and a man.

  • Jing Xiu escaped Four-Tails Son Gokū’s Flower-Fruit Mountain with Nirvana Path, then survived the blast from a Tailed Beast Bomb and headed toward Thread Gorge.
  • Taiseki, Mahiru, and Kakkō searched Iwagakure’s ruins and rescued a blond child who gave his name as Dei.
  • Jing Xiu and Sasori passed through Thread Gorge and entered the Land of Rain.
  • Three days later, Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzō read a report describing Jing Xiu’s destruction of much of Iwagakure, and the Shinobi World named him the “Death God of the Dark Night.”
  • Jing Xiu faced two women and one man, unaware that his name had spread throughout the Shinobi World.

Ch. 81A chance encounter with the naive trio

Jing Xiu and Sasori entered the Land of Rain, where they encountered Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan. After warning Nagato to keep his eyes hidden, Jing Xiu changed his plans and headed for the battlefield in the Land of Wind.

  • Jing Xiu told Sasori that his vision had weakened but that he could still handle ordinary jōnin as they entered the Land of Rain.
  • Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan stopped Jing Xiu and Sasori, and Yahiko invited them to join his planned organization, Daybreak.
  • Jing Xiu recognized the trio as Jiraiya’s disciples, refused Yahiko’s invitation, and left with Sasori.
  • Before departing, Jing Xiu warned Nagato that revealing his eyes would bring pursuit upon the three of them.
  • After sensing that events might be manipulating him, Jing Xiu abandoned his plan to return to Konoha and chose to travel with Sasori to the Land of Wind battlefield.

Ch. 82The Face of a Politician

Jing Xiu explained to Sasori how leaders and systems could fail the people they were meant to protect as they traveled to the Kikyo Mountain battlefield. There, Orochimaru received orders to negotiate peace with Sunagakure, while Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo argued over how to handle Jing Xiu.

  • Jing Xiu asked Sasori whether he resented Sunagakure, then described how leaders’ ambitions could lead them to neglect their villagers.
  • Jing Xiu told Sasori a story about fishermen, protection, labor, and food distribution, leaving Sasori thoughtful as they continued their journey.
  • Orochimaru received Hiruzen Sarutobi’s order to end hostilities with Sunagakure within a year and enter peace negotiations.
  • Tsunade criticized Hiruzen’s decision, while Hiruzen considered the costs of fighting on multiple fronts and pressure from the Uchiha.
  • Danzo reported that Jing Xiu had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and killed thirty-two Iwagakure jōnin, but Hiruzen ordered him to stay out of the matter.

Ch. 83On the eve of battle

Uchiha Jing Xiu arrived at the Land of Wind front with Sasori, fought off Orochimaru’s test, and insisted Sasori was his personal captive rather than Konoha’s. After Tsunade agreed to report Sasori’s situation, Jing Xiu told Orochimaru he had a battle plan but warned it would cause heavy Konoha casualties.

  • Orochimaru challenged Jing Xiu’s presence at the front and attacked Sasori, who countered with the Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets.
  • Tsunade arrived, recognized Jing Xiu, and watched as Orochimaru and Sasori fought to a stalemate.
  • Jing Xiu shattered Orochimaru’s formation of stone snakes with a lightning attack and joined Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Sasori in Orochimaru’s tent.
  • Jing Xiu declared Sasori his own captive, while Tsunade asked permission to report Sasori’s situation to the village and Jing Xiu agreed.
  • Orochimaru asked Jing Xiu for his thoughts on the front, and Jing Xiu proposed a plan while warning that Konoha would suffer heavy casualties.

Ch. 84A shifting situation, attention from the shadows

Jing Xiu planned to force Sunagakure out of its defensive position by revealing Sasori’s Human Puppet of the Third Kazekage, while Orochimaru and Tsunade prepared to surround the enemy at Kikyo Mountain. As Jiraiya arrived, he remained wary of Jing Xiu because of a prophecy about a blood-red gaze, and an unseen observer watched Jing Xiu from the shadows.

  • Jing Xiu proposed using the Third Kazekage’s Human Puppet to provoke Sunagakure into fighting, and he rejected Tsunade’s concern that Hiruzen Sarutobi might claim the puppet.
  • Jing Xiu and Tsunade took responsibility for the Kikyo Mountain camp while Orochimaru planned to advance with Jiraiya and encircle Sunagakure.
  • The Third Raikage, Yotsuki A, died after Iwagakure’s ambush at Lightning Strike Canyon, and both Iwagakure and Kumogakure suffered heavy losses.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi appointed Minato Namikaze commander of the Land of Lightning front and sent Shimura Danzō to deter Iwagakure.
  • Jiraiya recalled the Great Toad Sage’s warning about blood-red eyes and watched Jing Xiu cautiously, while a yellow eye observed Jing Xiu from the shadows.

Ch. 85Luring the enemy deep

Jing Xiu and Tsunade prepared Kikyo Mountain for Sunagakure’s assault while Rasa and the Sand Ninja planned to recover the Third Kazekage’s remains. Granny Chiyo’s puppet unit broke into Konoha’s defenses, where she confronted what she believed was Tsunade.

  • Jiraiya agreed to support Jing Xiu and Orochimaru’s plan, though he warned Jing Xiu about holding Kikyo Mountain against a possible tailed beast.
  • Rasa, Granny Chiyo, Ebizo, and Karura weighed their options and studied intelligence on Orochimaru as they planned to recover the Third Kazekage’s remains.
  • Jing Xiu reassured Tsunade about Sasori, asked her to prepare antidote pills, and later had her relocate the medical ninja and supplies.
  • Jing Xiu used White Zetsu to create a decoy resembling the Third Kazekage’s Human Puppet, while Tsunade moved the medical staff and supplies away from the camp.
  • At night, Karura’s Wind Release team spread poisonous powder as Granny Chiyo and Ebizo led the puppet unit into Kikyo Mountain’s defenses; Konoha’s ninja took antidotes and raised their guard.
  • Granny Chiyo’s unit stormed the medical station, and Granny Chiyo addressed a puppet disguised as Tsunade.

Ch. 86Quantity versus Quality

Jing Xiu ambushed the Sand Ninja at Konoha’s medical station, where Granny Chiyo and Ebizo fought to protect their forces. After Granny Chiyo unleashed the Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets and destroyed Jing Xiu’s puppet army, Jing Xiu remained unharmed and prepared to reveal his own power.

  • Granny Chiyo and Ebizo led the Sand Ninja puppet unit into the medical station, where Konoha’s wounded and medical ninja fought back.
  • A fast-moving ripple gravely wounded Ebizo, prompting Granny Chiyo to summon the Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets and order a retreat.
  • Jing Xiu confronted Granny Chiyo with over a hundred White Zetsu puppets as Konoha reinforcements began arriving.
  • Jing Xiu severed the chakra threads of two Chikamatsu puppets, and Granny Chiyo trapped him and his forces with Three Treasures Suction Crush.
  • Granny Chiyo’s technique consumed Jing Xiu’s puppets and puppet giant, but Jing Xiu stood unharmed and challenged her to witness what he could do.

Ch. 87Grandmother and Grandson

Jing Xiu fought Granny Chiyo, who wounded him with her Soul-Devouring Spider Venom, while Sasori faced a choice between his grandmother and his companion. Sasori knelt to beg Jing Xiu to spare Granny Chiyo, and a pillar of lightning suddenly engulfed Jing Xiu.

  • Jing Xiu evaded Granny Chiyo’s attacks and resisted her attempts to trick him with the Chikamatsu Collection of Ten Puppets.
  • Granny Chiyo used the Soul-Devouring Spider’s silk and venom to wound and poison Jing Xiu.
  • Sasori stepped between Granny Chiyo and Jing Xiu, torn between his grandmother and the man who had guided him.
  • Sasori knelt before Jing Xiu and pleaded for him to spare Granny Chiyo, while she shouted that Jing Xiu was already dying.
  • Granny Chiyo realized Jing Xiu had kept his eyes closed throughout their fight, and a pillar of lightning engulfed him.

Ch. 88A brutal war, a wavering heart

Jing Xiu forced Granny Chiyo and Sunagakure’s puppeteers to surrender their puppets, then faced the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, in a brutal assault on the Kikyo Mountain defensive line. As Konoha gained the upper hand, the carnage unsettled both Rasa and Jing Xiu, who ended the chapter asking whether Rasa truly wanted him to open his eyes.

  • Jing Xiu purified Granny Chiyo’s poison with lightning and offered to spare the puppeteers if they surrendered their puppets.
  • Granny Chiyo silenced Ebizo and ordered the surviving puppeteers to hand over their puppets and return to camp.
  • Jing Xiu explained to Tsunade that winning Sasori’s loyalty mattered more to him than using Chiyo for negotiations.
  • Three days later, Rasa led the Sand Ninja in a frontal assault on Kikyo Mountain, where Jing Xiu and Orochimaru’s plan brought both armies into a brutal clash.
  • Jing Xiu felt weighed down by the deaths of Konoha and Sand Ninja, while Rasa questioned the meaning of the war.
  • As Konoha gained the advantage and Karura suffered abdominal pain, Rasa prepared to fight, and Jing Xiu asked if he truly wanted him to open his eyes.

Ch. 89The Kazekage's Persistence

Jing Xiu trapped Rasa in a powerful Sharingan genjutsu, then used Feng Hou Qimen to turn Rasa’s Gold Dust attack into a river that blocked his escape. Rasa’s attempts to break through the formation failed, leaving him facing the surging sand river.

  • Jing Xiu revealed his Sharingan and trapped Rasa in successive worlds of fire and ice until the genjutsu ended.
  • Rasa recovered and attacked Jing Xiu with Magnet Release: Gold Dust as Sunagakure’s army began to rout.
  • Jing Xiu activated Feng Hou Qimen and used the Kun Trigram to transform Rasa’s gold dust into a vast flowing river.
  • Rasa tried to escape on a gold-dust cloud, but the river blocked his path even as he rose into the air.
  • Rasa attacked the river with Gold Dust Cube, then powered a Gold Dust Spear with Golden Sand Surging Waves and shouted for it to break through.

Ch. 90One last act of defiance

Jing Xiu repelled Rasa at Kikyo Mountain but strained his eyes and learned from Tsunade while Konoha waited for Orochimaru and Jiraiya to complete their encirclement. Rasa summoned Bunpuku and began planning to make his unborn child the next One-Tail Jinchuriki.

  • Jing Xiu’s gold dust spears broke through the Golden Sand Flowing River, forcing Rasa and Sunagakure’s army to retreat, while Jing Xiu’s eyes bled from the strain.
  • At camp, Jing Xiu covered his eyes and asked Tsunade how long Orochimaru and Jiraiya would need to encircle Sunagakure; she estimated about ten days, with five already passed.
  • Rasa suspected Jing Xiu was the feared “Death God of the Dark Night” and, after regretting Granny Chiyo’s absence, ordered Karura to summon Bunpuku.
  • Bunpuku arrived and warned Rasa that the One-Tail’s influence was growing stronger and that he had little time left as its Jinchuriki.
  • Rasa and Bunpuku discussed Karura’s unborn child, and Rasa agreed to prepare the materials and ritual to make the child the next Jinchuriki.

Ch. 91Kikyo Mountain Crush Plan

Rasa launched his plan to destroy Kikyo Mountain and eliminate Uchiha Jing Xiu, while Jing Xiu watched the Sunagakure camp and prepared for the assault. The attack began, but Sasori confronted Rasa at the summit after the Third Kazekage’s remains proved to be a trap.

  • Rasa ordered Yashamaru to carry out his plan and sent Anbu to monitor Yashamaru, Karura, and Elder Chiyo.
  • Yashamaru showed Karura that Rasa intended to make her unborn child the next One-Tail Jinchuriki, and Karura asked Yashamaru to cherish the child if she died.
  • Jing Xiu spied on Rasa with mechanical insects and predicted that Rasa’s schemes would cost him his life.
  • Rasa assembled the Sunagakure army and advanced on Kikyo Mountain with Bunpuku, while Jing Xiu assigned Sasori to guard the fake remains.
  • Rasa reached the summit and triggered a seal around the fake remains, then encountered Sasori, who questioned why he was so obsessed with war.

Ch. 92Unconscious

Jing Xiu sealed Shukaku with the Totsuka Blade after Bunpuku released the One-Tail, then collapsed from the strain. Three days later, he awoke in Root’s laboratory with Orochimaru and asked why he had been brought there.

  • Sasori summoned the Third Kazekage’s human puppet to face Rasa at Kikyo Mountain.
  • Bunpuku released Shukaku, sacrificing his life in hopes of bringing peace to the Land of Wind.
  • Jing Xiu descended onto Shukaku and sealed him with the Totsuka Blade, then collapsed from the spiritual strain.
  • Tsunade found Jing Xiu unconscious and left with the army to join Orochimaru and Jiraiya after Sasori blocked her from waking him.
  • Jing Xiu awoke three days later in Root’s laboratory, where Orochimaru told him Sasori was safe at a nearby farm.
  • Jing Xiu checked that his belongings were intact and asked Orochimaru why he had brought him there.

Ch. 93Hiruzen Sarutobi's script

Jing Xiu accepted a politically loaded mission to negotiate Kumogakure’s surrender, but demanded a year to complete it and access to the Scroll of Seals first. After Root tried to seize him, Minato intervened, and Jing Xiu returned to the Uchiha compound, where he offered to arrange a sword match for Shisui and was summoned to a clan jōnin meeting.

  • Jing Xiu asked Orochimaru for a mission that would let him leave the village, then recognized Hiruzen Sarutobi’s assignment to negotiate Kumogakure’s surrender as a political ploy.
  • Jing Xiu agreed to take the mission if Hiruzen extended its deadline to at least a year, and he requested access to the Scroll of Seals before departing.
  • Two Root operatives tried to force Jing Xiu to meet Danzo at Ichiraku Ramen, but Minato Namikaze stopped their attack and threatened to report them to Hiruzen.
  • Jing Xiu left the ramen shop without engaging the Root operatives and headed to the Uchiha Clan Compound.
  • Jing Xiu watched Shisui spar with Itachi and offered to arrange a match between Shisui and Kakashi Hatake.
  • An Uchiha messenger told Jing Xiu that Fugaku wanted him at a clan jōnin meeting in three days.

Ch. 94Konoha's clown

Jing Xiu rejected Fugaku’s attempt to discuss Itachi’s training and briefly accepted Shisui as his student before withdrawing the offer over Shisui’s request to bring Itachi. After eating at the Akimichi barbecue restaurant, Jing Xiu confronted Shimura Danzō, dismissed his ambitions, and left without paying; Danzō blamed him for casting genjutsu and vowed revenge.

  • Uchiha Fugaku asked Jing Xiu to assess Itachi and suggest a suitable teacher, and Jing Xiu recommended the Sannin or Minato Namikaze.
  • Jing Xiu offered to teach Shisui, who accepted, but withdrew the offer when Shisui asked to bring Itachi along.
  • Jing Xiu went to the Akimichi barbecue restaurant, ate his fill, and waited for someone else to pay the bill.
  • Shimura Danzō arrived with Aburame Ryoma and Yamanaka Fū, cleared the restaurant, and demanded that Jing Xiu come with him.
  • Jing Xiu told Shimura Danzō that his ambitions exceeded his strength, then left and told him to pay the bill.
  • Yamanaka Fū restored Shimura Danzō after Jing Xiu left, and Danzō accused Jing Xiu of casting genjutsu and vowed revenge.

Ch. 95Sitting Pretty

Shimura Danzō failed to persuade Hiruzen Sarutobi to punish Jing Xiu, while Jing Xiu trained and negotiated compensation for his wartime service. Hiruzen agreed to let Jing Xiu choose two S-rank ninjutsu, and Jing Xiu began examining the Scroll of Seals.

  • Shimura Danzō urged Hiruzen Sarutobi to punish Jing Xiu, but Hiruzen called Jing Xiu a village hero and announced plans for a ninja assembly to elect the Fourth Hokage.
  • Jing Xiu trained with shadow clones and Rasengan techniques, and Might Guy joined his practice.
  • Jing Xiu considered demanding Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God Technique so he could reach Obito Uchiha and Madara in time.
  • Orochimaru told Jing Xiu that Hiruzen would let him choose two S-rank ninjutsu but would refuse access to the Uzumaki Clan's sealing jutsu.
  • Hiruzen presented the Scroll of Seals to Jing Xiu, who calmly began choosing his two techniques.

Ch. 96Leaving Konoha

Jing Xiu memorized the Flying Thunder God Technique and Multiple Shadow Clone Technique before leaving Konoha on a peace mission to Kumogakure. Along the way, he marked Obito Uchiha with Flying Thunder God formulas, reunited with Sasori, and sent him away with plans and startup funds after sensing a familiar chakra in the Land of Hot Water.

  • Jing Xiu chose the Flying Thunder God Technique and Multiple Shadow Clone Technique from the Scroll of Seals, despite Hiruzen Sarutobi recommending the Bringer-of-Darkness Technique.
  • Jing Xiu trained with shadow clones and managed to apply Flying Thunder God: Second Step marks before his departure.
  • Jing Xiu disguised himself as an old woman and placed Flying Thunder God Marks on Obito Uchiha's hands and back.
  • Jing Xiu exchanged military merits with Uchiha Fugaku for a large sum of silver, then left Konoha with Yamanaka Fū and Aburame Ryoma.
  • Jing Xiu left his companions, found Sasori, and learned that Princess Tsunade had spent the money Sasori brought to the Capital of Fire.
  • After sensing a familiar chakra in the Land of Hot Water, Jing Xiu gave Sasori a Devouring Pouch Orb containing plans and startup funds, then sent him away.

Ch. 97Spring delights in the Land of Hot Water

Jing Xiu met Tsunade in the Land of Hot Water, then continued toward Kumogakure for his diplomatic mission with her following along. Near the Valley of Clouds and Lightning, Root forces surrounded him, and he suspected Shimura Danzō had finally moved against him.

  • Jing Xiu took Sasori to the Land of Waves and told him to seize control and become its daimyo, then returned to the Land of Hot Water.
  • Tsunade dragged Jing Xiu to an izakaya, where he paid the owner a thousand ryō toward her gambling debt before leaving for a hot spring inn.
  • Tsunade entered Jing Xiu's hot spring, and their confrontation ended with her striking at him and ordering him to get out.
  • Tsunade accompanied Jing Xiu toward Kumogakure and questioned why he was pursuing a dangerous mission that could make Hiruzen Sarutobi more suspicious of him.
  • Yamanaka Fū, Aburame Ryoma, and two Root squads surrounded Jing Xiu near the Valley of Clouds and Lightning, prompting him to suspect Shimura Danzō had sent them.

Ch. 98Boring politics

Uchiha Jing Xiu and Tsunade entered Kumogakure to negotiate a treaty while resisting pressure from Konoha’s Root and the Raikage. After Killer B’s arrival eased the immediate tension, Jing Xiu’s question about the Third Raikage left the meeting atmosphere tense.

  • Yamanaka Fū said Shimura Danzō had ordered Root to ensure Jing Xiu reached Kumogakure and execute him if he fled or refused the mission, but Tsunade intervened and Jing Xiu criticized Konoha’s leaders and wartime losses.
  • Jing Xiu and Tsunade entered Kumogakure, where Mabui and Dodai warned Fourth Raikage A against provoking them because Konoha and Iwagakure could retaliate.
  • Tsunade asked whether Jing Xiu feared being detained, and he explained that Kumogakure’s leaders would use their visit to test them.
  • Fourth Raikage A confronted the envoys at the gates and challenged Jing Xiu’s authority, then scolded Killer B when he returned to the village instead of holding a concert in the Lightning Capital.
  • Fourth Raikage A assigned Samui to guide Jing Xiu and Tsunade, but Jing Xiu’s question about the Third Raikage made the atmosphere tense again.

Ch. 99Not playing by the rules

Jing Xiu and Tsunade confronted Raikage A over Kumogakure’s ceasefire terms, then left with the scroll and made Konoha’s peace offer public. After warning Danzō’s Root operatives not to interfere, Jing Xiu met Sasori to begin the next leg of his journey through time and space.

  • Raikage A challenged Jing Xiu’s role as Konoha’s envoy and presented Kumogakure’s ceasefire conditions, while Dodai mocked Jing Xiu’s blindness.
  • Jing Xiu took the scroll and left Kumogakure with Tsunade, then publicly declared that Konoha had made its effort for peace and that the decision now rested with Kumogakure.
  • Dodai warned Raikage A that the scroll’s contents could damage Kumogakure’s reputation, and Root operatives followed Jing Xiu and Tsunade beyond the village.
  • Jing Xiu handed the scroll to Yamanaka Fū and warned Root not to destroy it or pursue him, invoking Danzō’s responsibility for Sakumo’s death.
  • Jing Xiu warned Danzō through the Root operatives to stop coveting the Sharingan and Wood Release, then disappeared before they could locate him.
  • Jing Xiu found Sasori and asked whether he had completed the preparations for their next journey through time and space.

Ch. 100Meeting again

Jing Xiu confronted the dying Madara Uchiha and drew him into the Body Tempering Furnace’s inner landscape, where he showed Madara memories of their past and began explaining the ancient history of Kaguya Otsutsuki. Madara recognized the golden pillar that had brought Jing Xiu to this time and space and asked whether it was connected to the Sage of Six Paths and Hamura.

  • Jing Xiu left the Land of Waves after two Flying Thunder God Marks on Obito Uchiha vanished, then sealed the spiral-faced White Zetsu guarding him.
  • Jing Xiu met the elderly Madara and challenged him to enter the Body Tempering Furnace, prompting Madara to recall his childhood with Izuna.
  • Jing Xiu used his Mangekyō Sharingan technique Yomi to draw Madara into the inner landscape space and showed him scenes from their shared past.
  • Jing Xiu told Madara about Kaguya Otsutsuki, her sons Hagoromo and Hamura, and their conflict with her.
  • Madara asked whether the golden pillar that brought Jing Xiu to this time and space was connected to Hagoromo and Hamura.
