"Muahaha, this kid's got some serious guts!"
Queen watched the spectacle with keen interest.
It had been ages since he had met such an entertaining brat. The kid was not even a Shinuchi, yet he had dared to fleece everyone in the Beasts Pirates, from top to bottom.
Calling him brazen would be no exaggeration.
Queen had given him gift money too!
But unlike the cautious King, he was more interested in seeing what Good could pull off and how much more entertainment he could provide.
"Oh, it's starting!"
South of the Hot Spring Shop, large searchlights switched on one after another, illuminating every inch of the wilderness outside.
At some point, a large number of samurai had gathered in the wilderness!
They were the Kozuki Remnants!
"Muahaha, this brat really is interesting!"
Queen's eyes lit up.
As one of the world's leading scientists, he was no fool. He quickly figured out Good's plan.
This was a trap laid out in plain sight!
King's attitude also changed, a hint of admiration appearing in his eyes.
By exploiting Yamato's identity, Good had forced the Kozuki Remnants to walk into his trap willingly. He had reaped considerable benefits while also giving them an answer.
The kid had probably planned all of this when Yamato was imprisoned. Not only did he possess unfathomable ambition and nerve, but he had the brains to match!
Still, it was not enough!
Anticipation appeared in King's eyes.
On the rooftop observation deck of the Hot Spring Club.
"They're Kozuki Samurai!"
Seeing the samurai gathered beneath the lights, all the guests were shocked. Some were so frightened that they wanted to flee.
As the country's wealthiest class, they owed everything they owned to Shogun Orochi and were sworn enemies of the Kozuki Clan. Quite a few had even betrayed the Kozuki Clan back then.
How could they not be afraid at the sight of so many samurai?
"Please don't worry, everyone. This is merely a special performance."
Good smiled as he reassured the guests, then tore off his formal attire, revealing his heavily muscled upper body and the greatsword in his hand.
"The stage is set, and all the actors have arrived. Now it's showtime. Please enjoy!"
With that, Good leaped from the rooftop more than ten meters above the ground. Like a cannonball, he slammed down, driving both legs deep into the earth!
Boom!
The ground shattered, and dust billowed everywhere.
A moment later, Good emerged from the dust with his greatsword resting on his shoulder. He stood in the Kozuki Samurai's path, seemingly intent on taking on hundreds of men alone.
The guests rose to their feet, their eyes filled with shock.
No one had expected the man in charge to be so ferocious that he would face the Kozuki Samurai single-handedly.
"My blood is stirring!"
Good gripped his greatsword, his eyes glowing red.
His thirst for slaughter was boiling over.
"Come on, samurai!"
"..."
By now, how could the samurai fail to realize that their every move had already been seen through?
"It's a trap!"
The crowd grew restless, but quickly calmed down.
They had originally planned to go to Onigashima and die for the Kozuki Clan. Now that Kaido's daughter offered another option, one with a chance of success, their course was obvious.
Whether it was a trap did not matter. They would die either way. They had no time to wait, nor any energy to spare for overthinking.
If they missed tonight and Kaido's daughter returned to Onigashima, they would never get another chance to deal Kaido a devastating blow.
The decisive battle was now!
"Kill that pirate blocking our way!"
"Even if we all die here, we must kill Kaido's daughter!"
"Let Kaido feel the wrath of the Kozuki Clan!"
Resolved to die, the samurai roared and charged at Good.
"That's more like it!"
Good roared as he raised his greatsword, which was over two meters long. His muscles swelled and his veins bulged as he brought it down straight ahead with all his strength!
Boom!
The earth shook violently. A fissure opened beneath the greatsword and raced forward.
In the blink of an eye, the battlefield was torn apart, as though a powerful earthquake had struck.
"Aaaah! Help!"
Dozens of samurai who failed to dodge screamed as they fell into the earth. The others staggered and stumbled, their hearts filled with terror.
None of them had imagined that the pirate before them could split the earth. Caught off guard, they had suffered devastating losses in an instant.
But this was only the beginning!
Good's eyes widened in fury as he channeled all his strength through his greatsword and into the earth.
The ground shook again.
Crouching on the ground, a samurai watched the pebbles trembling before him and the earth swelling and cracking beneath him. His pupils contracted.
Something was coming!
"Precipice Blade!!!"
With Good's roar, a blade-like stone pillar erupted from the earth, instantly piercing the samurai's chest and thrusting him into the sky!
"Aaaah!!!"
Screams echoed across the battlefield!
Yet this was only the beginning!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Blade-like stone pillars erupted one after another, covering nearly the entire battlefield and plunging the Kozuki Remnants into despair.
When the dust finally settled, dozens of sharp stone pillars stood upon the earth, with samurai corpses impaled on their tips.
It was hell on earth!
Chapter 19: The Reward: Kaido's Approval
In less than a minute of fighting, the Kozuki Remnants had lost half their men. The sheer power on display stunned every guest.
"He's so strong!"
"Are you sure he isn't an officer of the Beasts Pirates?!"
"Those damned Kozuki bastards got what they deserved!"
"Hahaha, what a perfect performance!"
The guests flushed with excitement, unable to resist cheering at the scene before them. Quite a few even threw money as tips.
Gold and silver littered the ground!
At the center of the battlefield.
Good's eyes glowed red as he panted heavily. His muscles radiated scorching waves of heat, as though his whole body had been boiled.
Precipice Blade was devastatingly effective, but it also consumed an enormous amount of stamina. An attack on that scale was something he could only use once in a short stretch of time.
Now the real battle would begin.
Rumble!
Without Earth Power to support them, the stone pillars crumbled one after another, bringing the surviving samurai back into view.
"Bastard!"
Looking at their dead comrades, the samurai's eyes nearly split with rage. None had expected to lose half their brothers before even seeing Kaido's daughter.
"Don't give him time to rest!"
A samurai with long blue hair roared as he charged at Good. He swung his sword with all his strength, sending a brilliant blue slash flying.
"Shusui Style: Falling Leaves Slash!"
"Flying Slash!"
Good's gaze sharpened. He immediately held his greatsword upright before him, blocking the slash with its door-sized blade. The powerful impact sent him sliding several meters backward.
"A swordmaster, huh!"
Good stared at the Blue-Haired Swordmaster, his lips spreading into an excited grin.
Wano Country was famous for its samurai. It was perfectly normal for a swordmaster to be among his enemies, and there was likely more than one.
Clang!
Their blades collided, throwing off a shower of sparks.
"What a thrill!"
Good laughed. Feeling the strength transmitted through his opponent's blade, he put more power into his arms and slowly forced his greatsword down toward him.
So heavy!
The Blue-Haired Swordmaster's face flushed red, veins bulging along his neck. But even with every ounce of his strength, he could not stop the greatsword from descending!
Their strength was on entirely different levels!
Splurt!
The blade pressed into his shoulder, and blood immediately poured out!
"Gensuke, I'm coming!"
Just as the greatsword was about to tear him apart, another samurai arrived in time and thrust his sword at Good's head!
Clack!
Under the samurai's horrified gaze, Good abruptly turned his head, his face twisted into a savage expression, and bit down on the blade. Even as its edge cut his mouth bloody, he showed no intention of letting go.
The greatsword in his hands pressed down again!
"Aaaah!"
As his body was slowly torn apart, the Blue-Haired Swordmaster could not hold back his screams!
"Bastard!"
The samurai who had come to his rescue was beside himself with fury. He tried to pull his sword free, but Good's teeth held it fast. He immediately raised his leg and kicked Good in the chest.
With a dull thud, his right foot struck what felt like a solid iron plate. Not only did the pirate fail to budge, but the recoil sent the samurai stumbling back several steps before he landed on his backside.
By now, the Blue-Haired Swordmaster was coughing up blood, his resistance against the greatsword growing weaker and weaker. His eyes were filled with terror at his impending death.
"Yugoro, save me!"
"Hang on!"
Yugoro shouted frantically, snatched up the sword of a fallen comrade beside him, and scrambled to his feet. Holding it in both hands, he thrust at the pirate's waist!
Splurt!
