Observation Haki was, in essence, the outward projection of mental power. Connecting through Observation Haki allowed them to convey their emotions and thoughts to each other instantly.

The two stepped forward, transforming at the same time. Their speed suddenly surged, and two streaks of light, one red and one white, charged toward Kaido!
"Worororo, interesting!"
Kaido laughed and broke into a run, meeting Good and Yamato head-on.

Black, white, and red-three streaks of light chased one another across the battlefield!
Only the sound of clashing weapons remained in the air!
"I can't see them!"
The pirates' eyes widened, but they could not make out the three combatants. Only the senior officers, relying on Observation Haki and their exceptional eyesight, could catch the figures left behind whenever the three clashed.
"Amazing!"
King's eyes kept darting about.
Good followed up every one of Yamato's attacks perfectly, and whenever Kaido attacked, he intercepted him, creating openings for Yamato.
Their coordination was seamless!
At the center of the battlefield.
"Worororo!!!"
Kaido roared, swinging his spiked club and blasting Yamato away. Before he could pull his club back, Good appeared before him and drove a kick into his stomach.
As he raised his club and was about to strike back at Good, Good dodged sideways, revealing a shock wave behind him.
"Ringing Arrow!"
"Pfft!"
Kaido flew backward, tumbling and bouncing across the ground, smashing through one huge boulder after another. As he went, two streaks of light, red and white, pursued him from either side.
The moment he steadied himself, the two appeared on either side of him, their timing exact as they swung their weapons together.
Smack!
Kaido reached out with his dragon claws and seized the spiked club and greatsword in a death grip!
