Returning with a full haul, Xie Wen spotted the Marine warships docked at the harbor from far away and froze for a moment.
Klee Meow, perched on his shoulder, immediately reached excitedly for another bomb. "Are there more enemies, meow?!"
"No, no, no..." Xie Wen hurriedly stopped the little one, who had really gotten into the swing of blowing things up. "Let's go back and take a look first."
"The Marines probably heard what happened here and came to deal with these pirates, meow," Hua Mei Meow surmised.
Xie Wen had much the same thought. He curled his lip and complained, "They only showed up after we took care of everything. Looks like the Marines in the North Blue aren't much good either."
Thinking back to the extremely polite Marine captain he had met on Lighthouse Island, Xie Wen felt even more strongly that the Marines here were less capable than those in the South Blue.
Xie Wen picked up his pace and returned to the ship with the cats, only to find an old man with a face perfectly suited to singing PPAP and a big fat man with a bowl cut. The old man in the yellow-striped suit was holding Sanji Meow, trying to lean in to kiss him and rub his face against him, while the little yellow cat resisted fiercely, bracing all four paws firmly against his head.
"What do you think you're doing to my cat?!"
Although he had already recognized the man, Xie Wen launched a flying kick at him without hesitation.
Having already suffered badly at Sanji Meow's paws, Kizaru naturally had no intention of taking the attack head-on. He turned into his element and dodged Xie Wen's flying kick.
