• Morgans interviewed Xie Wen and the Research Commission, and his newspaper introduced the crew while holding Shirahoshi’s story for a later report.
• After Shirahoshi reported that Fish-Man Island was strengthening its army, Xie Wen accepted Big Mom’s invitation and set out for Totto Land with the cats.
• On the island, Xie Wen’s crew fought Cavendish and White Horse until Aokiji intervened, after which Xie Wen took Durandal and left Cavendish alive.
• Xie Wen and the cats met Big Mom, who offered him a marriage alliance, and Xie Wen refused while proposing that Robin translate her Poneglyphs.
• During Big Mom’s Hunger Pangs, Xie Wen fought her, wounded her with a powered-up strike, and helped the Charlotte Family stop her destruction of Sweet Town.

Xie Wen and the cats visited Zou, where Shirahoshi spoke with Zunesha and Xie Wen challenged Inuarashi and Cat Viper over their defense of Kozuki Oden. After helping the minks settle their leadership and leaving them Sulong Pills, Xie Wen summoned Kaido Meow to join the crew.

• Xie Wen and the cats arrived at Zou, where Carrot and Wanda welcomed them and Inuarashi explained that he and Cat Viper ruled in alternating shifts because they fought whenever they met.
• Klee Meow’s compressed Jumpy Dumpty injured Zunesha and damaged the city, but Shirahoshi used the brainwave amplifier to speak with Zunesha and learned that it awaited the dawn under a punishment.
• Hua Mei Meow stopped Inuarashi and Cat Viper from fighting, and the pair took Xie Wen and his companions to the Whale Tree and its red Poneglyph.
• Xie Wen challenged Inuarashi and Cat Viper’s defense of Kozuki Oden, then defeated them after they attacked him and the cats.
• Shirahoshi spoke with Zunesha about the ancient war, and Xie Wen rejected the idea that the history between Zou, Wano Country, and Fish-Man Island obligated his group to help Wano.
• Xie Wen fought Inuarashi and Cat Viper in their Sulong forms, and the minks later chose Wanda as Zou’s new king while Ai Haibara Meow and Meowrah developed Sulong Pills for the Palicoes.
• Xie Wen left Zou with the crew and summoned a companion on an uninhabited island, where a sakura-red dragon brought Kaido Meow crashing down from the sky.

Xie Wen welcomed Kaido Meow, visited a Marine base guarding Dyna Stone, and brought Shirahoshi to meet Whitebeard. After leaving the Whitebeard Pirates, the crew advanced its experiments and learned that the World Government wanted Xie Wen to help ambush Big Mom in exchange for Dyna Stone.

• Kaido Meow ate the Sakura Dragon Fruit, learned Armament Haki, tested his dragon and beast forms, and told Xie Wen he could face Gaismagorm alone.
• Kaido Meow revealed that Qurio had infected him while he fought Gaismagorm, and Xie Wen realized he had lived through the role of a Monster Hunter protagonist.
• Xie Wen and the crew visited the Marine base on a sealed island, where Hilnans showed them around and Klee Meow learned the Marines guarded Dyna Stone.
• Xie Wen asked Uncle Cody to seek Dyna Stone from the World Government, then left the island and decided to visit Whitebeard with Shirahoshi.
• Xie Wen and Shirahoshi met Whitebeard aboard the Moby Dick, and Whitebeard welcomed them after Shirahoshi thanked him for protecting Fish-Man Island.
• Suika Meow’s potent liquor repeatedly knocked out Whitebeard and his crew, while Xie Wen recognized Teach as a dangerous future enemy and chose not to attack him.
• Whitebeard gave Xie Wen a package containing a Vivre Card and a Zoan Bat-Bat Fruit, which Xie Wen gave to Ai Haibara Meow.
• Ai Haibara Meow developed the versatile white bat Vermouth and created Jean, a metal tiger, while Meowrah sought a spatial material for her teleportation research.

Xie Wen joined the Marines’ failed ambush on Big Mom, then took his companions to Rusukaina and Amazon Lily, where Shirahoshi trained and Jinx Meow fought in the arena. The arc ended with Klee Meow entering Boa Hancock’s bathing room and discovering a strange mark on her back.

• Xie Wen arrived at Obstein, clashed with Akainu over Robin, and realized the island was likely a decoy for the Marines’ operation against Big Mom.
• The Marines lured Big Mom to the Cipher Pol buildings with evidence about Mother Carmel, but the revelation enraged her and sparked a battle with Garp, Akainu, Aokiji, and the Shichibukai.
• Xie Wen and Cracker avoided serious fighting as the ambush fell apart, then Xie Wen escaped aboard the Dudu with Klee Meow, Hawk-Eye, Jinbe, Boa Hancock, and the others.
• At Rusukaina, Jinbe trained Shirahoshi and the cats in Fish-Man Karate and Fish-Man Jujutsu while Xie Wen learned that Kaido had attacked Marine branches during the Big Mom operation.

• Morgans told Xie Wen that the Big Mom Pirates had made a secret agreement with the Navy and that Sengoku had resigned in favor of Kuzan, with Akainu’s Fleet Admiral bid abandoned.
• Ai Haibara Meow, Jinx Meow, and Klee Meow suspected the Gorgon’s Curse story concealed a mark on Boa Hancock’s back and plotted to investigate the palace.
• Klee Meow sneaked into Boa Hancock’s bathing room and saw a mark on her back consisting of one large circle and four small triangles.
