Under everyone's wary or fearful gazes, Doflamingo swaggered toward the bar with his two underlings in tow.
Miland was still standing behind the bar. He had seen Doflamingo's photo in the newspaper before, so he recognized him at first glance. After all, the Fierce Wolf Pirates operated under his banner. It was a name he would never forget.
Looking at the three men, whose faces practically screamed, "I'm here to cause trouble," he activated the God Cloth of Pegasus with a thought, instantly equipping it. Then he watched their every move.
Beneath the boy's slightly nervous gaze lurked a trace of barely perceptible hatred. This was his enemies' boss, after all. Although Doflamingo had not personally committed the deed, without him, the Fierce Wolf Pirates would never have been so brazen.
But this was the bar, and he knew his boss, Su Yu, disliked people fighting here. So he gritted his teeth and did his best to hide his emotions, keeping his eyes fixed on Doflamingo.
The atmosphere in the bar suddenly grew noisy. Sensing that things were taking a bad turn, quite a few people left. Still, some pirates confident in their own strength wanted to watch the fun and stayed to drink and enjoy the show.
"Fufufufufu, so you're the brat who's been bullying the pirate crew under my banner!"
That signature outfit allowed Doflamingo to recognize the boy before him instantly.
Doflamingo! Miland gave no response to his words, continuing to watch him warily, with a hint of hatred. He was a Shichibukai, after all. Although his previous battles had built up his confidence, whether he could actually handle Doflamingo remained unknown. Besides, he had not come alone. Those two underlings did not look easy to deal with either.
When Miland remained silent, Doflamingo's smile widened, but the veins bulging on his forehead showed that his mood was not nearly as pleasant as it appeared.
Diamante could not help saying, "Doffy, stop wasting words on him. Let me handle this!"
Just as the two sides were poised to clash, Su Yu finally came down from the second floor. He descended the stairs at a leisurely pace, seemingly oblivious to the commotion before him.
Seeing Su Yu come downstairs, Miland immediately breathed a sigh of relief and moved to stand behind him.
The moment Su Yu appeared, Doflamingo had already released his Observation Haki. Unfortunately, he could sense nothing. Yes, to his Observation Haki, it was as though Su Yu did not exist, yet his eyes could clearly see him. This strange phenomenon gave him an ominous feeling.
If Kaido was like a blazing, scorching sun to his Observation Haki, then Su Yu was like a black hole, swallowing everything without returning the slightest response!
"Gentlemen, are you planning to fight in my bar?" Su Yu asked mildly.
Su Yu's voice was perfectly calm, yet Diamante and the others felt an inexplicable chill, as though a ferocious beast had let its breath escape between its teeth. The mocking words they had intended to say stuck in their throats, and they dared not utter them.
That calm yet commanding presence gradually sent Doflamingo's heart sinking. It seemed his luck had run out this time. He had picked a fight with someone he should not have...
"Fufufufufu, your employee killed my men. It seems perfectly reasonable for me to seek justice for them!"
"Oh? So what?"
"..."
Doflamingo fell silent for a moment. Su Yu's "so what" had provoked him so badly that he could not even manage a sneer. Still, he had weathered his share of storms and forced out a smile.
"Then shouldn't you give me an explanation, boss?"
Hearing Doflamingo's demand, Su Yu laughed as though he had heard an amusing joke.
"Give you an explanation? You're not a child anymore. Don't say something so ridiculous."
Then Su Yu's smile vanished. He stared into Doflamingo's eyes and delivered a curt, indifferent command:
"Get out!"
Why didn't you step in when your men were bullying my kid?! Now that your useless underlings got wiped out, you actually have the nerve to come demanding an explanation from me?! Pah! Have some shame! Did you think my kid had no adult looking out for him?!
If I weren't saving you for Miland, I would have crushed you with one finger long ago!
Hmph. It's only because Miland is still a little short on strength and needs more time to consolidate it. Otherwise, I would have sent him to Dressrosa to wipe out your home base ages ago!
That's right, I, Su Yu, look after my own. What are you going to do about it?!
That command completely ignited the fury in Doflamingo, Pica, and Diamante's hearts. But before they could erupt, their anger was forcibly extinguished.
In their vision, Su Yu's eyes grew larger and larger until they filled the entire world. They felt an unparalleled pressure that snuffed out their fury, leaving nothing but trembling dread.
Doflamingo could not help recalling how he had felt when facing Kaido. It had been much the same, like being stared down by a savage, ravenous beast from ancient times that wanted to swallow him whole, robbing him of any will to resist.
But that was Kaido! One of the Four Emperors standing at the pinnacle of these seas, the supposedly immortal Kaido, whose name stood alongside Whitebeard's, the man acknowledged as the strongest in the world! Had this bar owner really reached the level of the Four Emperors?!
The back of Doflamingo's shirt was soaked through, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead. In that instant, fear seized him. Su Yu was not someone he could contend with. He had to retreat, or he would surely die!
Having cowed the three men, Su Yu could no longer be bothered with them. He looked away, ignored them, and walked toward his sofa.
Doflamingo and his two companions finally regained the ability to move. He glanced at Su Yu sitting on the sofa, then fled in disgrace with the silent Pica and Diamante, not even daring to leave a threat behind.
This time, he had lost every last shred of dignity!
Miland looked at Su Yu without saying a word, a faint light glimmering in his eyes.
The few pirates watching stood utterly dumbfounded, their mouths hanging so wide open that they looked as though they could swallow a whole pig in three bites.
Words alone could scarcely describe their shock. From their perspective, Su Yu had said only a few things and cowed Heavenly Yaksha Doflamingo, one of the mighty Shichibukai, sending him fleeing in disgrace without daring to utter so much as a peep.
What was wrong with this world?!
Was the end of the world coming?!
They quietly glanced at Su Yu and swallowed. This bar owner was terrifying!
Doflamingo, Pica, and Diamante reached the shore of the Sabaody Archipelago, all of them rather quiet. They had come to settle a score, so how had things ended up like this?
Pica and Diamante looked at the silent Doflamingo and opened their mouths, but they had no idea what to say. Comfort him? Wouldn't that just be rubbing salt into the wound right now?!
So the two could only remain silent alongside Doflamingo.
Were they really going to let it end like this?
