The pirates held all four of Miland's limbs firmly in place. Unable to break free in time, he could only watch as the bullet struck his forehead.

Everything happened too fast. Neither Abel nor Rayleigh had time to intervene; they could only watch the boy take the bullet...

But to everyone's astonishment, when the bullet struck Miland's forehead, it gave a sharp metallic clang, as though it had hit steel, and bounced away!

For a moment, everyone froze.

Of course it did. This was a God Cloth, after all. Every part formed a unified whole, and any attack that struck an exposed part of the wearer's body would be transferred to the Cloth. Simply put, until the Cloth was completely shattered, the Saint Seiya wearing it would suffer no bodily harm!

Miland's heart pounded. He had genuinely thought he was about to die. The feeling of facing death was impossible to describe, but thankfully, the Cloth had come through for him.

Having escaped death, Miland seized the moment while the pirates were still stunned to break free of their grip and put some distance between them.

The pirates were numb with shock. What they had thought was a weakness wasn't a weakness at all. That flawless defense filled them with despair.

But Miland didn't care what they thought. Though the Cloth had stopped the bullet, the terror of nearly being killed had still filled him with fury. All he wanted now was to vent it.

Following the movements in his inherited memories, he struck a series of strange poses. When he had completed them all, he drew back his right hand, clenched his fist, gathered his strength, and unleashed Pegasus Meteor Fist!

At that moment, the pirates facing Miland seemed to see meteors racing across the sky, trailing blue flames as they tore through the heavens. But it was no beautiful sight, because those meteors were coming straight at them.

Hundreds upon thousands of meteors slammed into the pirates. Their bodies flailed uncontrollably in the air, blood seeping from every part of them and spraying through the air before pooling on the ground.

When it was all over, the light faded. Miland stood with his fist still extended. Behind him, the pirates lay motionless in pools of blood, their bodies mangled beyond recognition.

At least they had died a worthwhile death. After all, they had been struck by stars before they died. How many people in the world could say they had been hit by stars? They had gotten their lives' worth.

Miland lowered his fist. The Pegasus Meteor Fist had drained a great deal of his stamina, leaving him slightly breathless, his chest rising and falling. He turned to gaze silently at his handiwork, an astonishing light gleaming in his eyes.

Rayleigh stared at Miland in shock. The power of that Pegasus Meteor Fist had startled him. From what his Observation Haki had sensed, it was at least comparable to a great swordsman's slash!

Ever since coming to this bar, Rayleigh felt as though he had been shocked, shocked, and shocked again...

As for Abel, he was already numb. Even if Miland started flying now, he wouldn't have been surprised.

Miland gradually caught his breath and walked over to Su Yu. He wanted to kneel and knock his head firmly against the ground a few times in thanks, but just as he started to kneel, an invisible force held up his body, preventing him from lowering himself.

Su Yu looked at Miland and nodded. "Not bad. You don't need to thank me. This was just a transaction. I gave you the power to take revenge, and you work for me for free. An equal exchange, nothing more."

Miland opened his mouth, but in the end, he said nothing, keeping his gratitude deep in his heart.

With the matter settled, Su Yu snapped his fingers. Space contracted, and everyone returned to the bar.

Several pirates and underworld members who hadn't taken part fled the bar as fast as they could the moment they returned. Only once they were outside did they seem to breathe a sigh of relief, as though they had finally escaped with their lives.

Then Abel summoned a few soldiers to carry away the thoroughly dead pirates before leaving the bar himself. Rayleigh had drunk his fill and enjoyed a show, so he too left satisfied. For a while, only Su Yu and Miland remained in the bar.

Miland looked at Su Yu, wanting to speak but hesitating. Su Yu glanced at him and knew what he wanted to say.

"Miland, are you wondering why I gave you this chance?"

That was right. Miland had calmed down by now. He was just a frail, penniless boy, so why had Su Yu chosen him? Though this power came at a price, that price was practically nothing. Once he had taken his revenge, he would have nothing left to do anyway, and he no longer had a home. Su Yu had effectively given him both power and a place to stay. So what exactly did Su Yu want out of this?

So when he heard Su Yu ask him outright, he hesitated briefly, then nodded.

Su Yu said casually, "The reason is actually very simple. You're the Wish-Granting Bar's first real customer. The first always gets a few special perks."

Miland was taken aback, but he didn't think someone like Su Yu would lie to him. He wasn't worth the trouble of deceiving.

Then he said to Su Yu, "Mr. Su Yu, I... I want to go take my revenge!"

Now that the boy had gained power, he didn't want to wait another moment.

Su Yu walked behind the counter, sat on a stool, and looked lazily at Miland. "Then do you know where your enemy is right now?"

"Uh..." The boy had been so focused on revenge that he had overlooked the crucial question of how he was supposed to find his target.

Su Yu shook his head, then tossed Miland a Log Pose. "This Log Pose can guide you to whatever you want to find. Go on, and come back soon."

Miland fumbled to catch the Log Pose, then carefully tucked it away. He gave Su Yu a solemn bow before turning to head outside.

As though remembering something, Su Yu suddenly called Miland back. "Ah, right, I forgot to mention this. Say 'retrieve' silently in your mind, and the Cloth will automatically disassemble and turn into a pendant. Putting it on works the same way. Oh, and you can fly while wearing it."

Su Yu didn't know whether the original Cloth could fly, but he figured that since it had wings, they ought to be more than decorations. In any case, when he had made it, he had added the ability to fly using those wings.

Hearing that, Miland immediately tested putting the Cloth away and equipping it again. Once withdrawn, it was only a pendant the size of a gold coin. He silently said Equip in his mind again, and in less than a second, the Cloth was fully in place.

He also discovered, to his amazement, that even after taking off the Cloth, his physique was far better than before, his whole body brimming with strength. This must have been a passive enhancement from the Cloth. After all, if his body were too weak, he wouldn't have been able to wear it.

Miland silently commanded the Cloth to withdraw once more, then said goodbye to Su Yu and left the bar.

The once-noisy bar fell quiet again. Su Yu walked over to the sofa he had prepared especially for himself and flung his whole body onto it. He sank comfortably into its softness, and drowsiness washed over him. A "Temporarily closed" sign suddenly appeared on the bar's door, and Su Yu closed his eyes, ready to enjoy the bliss of sleep...
