It was time to get down to business!
He focused his attention and silently recited the divination statement:
"Lilith's current location."
Then he leaned back and entered a dream.
The future, 1349.
Monday, 3 p.m.
As a new week's Tarot Club gathering began, figures appeared one after another in the timeless, magnificent palace filled with gray fog.
Klein sat quietly in Mr. Fool's seat when his nose suddenly began to itch, and he felt a powerful urge to sneeze.
Fortunately, he held it back in time. Otherwise, if everyone saw Mr. Fool sneeze... would that be appropriate?
Maintaining his unfathomable, indifferent air, he watched the members appear on either side of the Bronze Long Table. Thinking back on the daze he had spent the past week in, he felt genuinely happy at the sudden sight of everyone.
"Huh?"
He suddenly froze and looked toward two empty seats.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool."
At that moment, Audrey's voice rang out, as cheerful and relaxed as ever. "Good afternoon, Mr. The Tower~ Good afternoon, Hanged..."
Her voice stopped. Audrey looked at Edward's empty seat, then turned toward Lilith's seat-it was empty too.
Where were Edward and Lilith?
Why hadn't they come to the Tarot Club gathering?
Panic rose in her heart, and she looked at Mr. Fool. "Mr. Fool, The Tower and Miss Empress... where are they?"
Her words alerted the others as well.
Hanged Man could not help thinking of that mysterious Primitive Island, wondering whether Mr. The Tower had been ordered to carry out some secret mission.
Priscilla, meanwhile, widened her eyes and searched around her.
Fors did not think much of it. As far as she was concerned... missing a gathering or two because something urgent had come up did not seem like a big deal, did it?
