Today was the day to return to Hogwarts, yet there was still no news of Edward.
Yesterday, she had taken Susie to visit the senior angel at Doctor Aaron's House, but he, too, knew very little about Edward's current situation.
A few days earlier, Edward had been pursued by several demigods and angels of the Rose School on Blue Mountain Island, where Bayam was located, and had even provoked the wrath of the Lord of Storms.
Fortunately, with help from "multiple parties working together" at the final moment, Edward had survived the crisis without serious mishap and had even killed or injured those demigods and angels of the Rose School. However, he himself had inexplicably vanished.
"I can no longer see any trace of his fate at all."
Will ate the ice cream Audrey had brought, his brows furrowed in puzzlement. "But the traces of fate belonging to that Lilith you mentioned haven't disappeared... to be precise, they disappeared briefly, then reappeared."
"Her situation is different from Edward's. I don't know if you can understand this, but although I don't know where either of them is, I can be certain that Lilith exists somewhere. Edward, however, has vanished into thin air."
"This disappearance... resembles death, yet differs from death. I don't understand. I really don't."
Will shook his head and sighed. "As the apocalypse approaches, the fate of this world is becoming increasingly chaotic, and what I can see is growing increasingly blurred. Even matters concerning myself have become somewhat uncertain."
"So I probably can't help you, Miss Ice Cream."
Recalling her conversation with that senior, Audrey frowned in thought. Edward's disappearance into thin air... seems a little like he disappeared from this world. Then under what circumstances would someone disappear from this world?
Apart from death...
