Background

Lu Shaoyou was born in Lu Family Village of Yun Yuan County, Great Gan Dynasty. His father, Lu Dahai, raised him alone; Lu Shaoyou never knew his mother. Though descended from a martial artist, he was considered untalented and expected to struggle even to reach Second-class Warrior. 1 3

While fleeing the Black Wind Village bandits after their massacre of Lu Family Village, Lu Shaoyou awakened memories of a past life as an overworked Blue Star salaryman. At the same time, the Slaughter System activated, giving him the ability to grow stronger by killing enemies. 1

After finding Lu Dahai’s body, Lu Shaoyou buried him, erected a tombstone, and vowed not to spare the Black Wind Village bandits. He subsequently destroyed the bandit force and continued pursuing Li Mo, the former young master of Black Wind Village, after learning he had taken refuge within the Blood Saber Sect. 3 20 31
