"Finally out of that wall."
Selene brushed the dust off herself, a faint pink blush coloring her fair face. It was quite a pretty sight.
She had been stuck in the wall and had nearly failed to get out. Luckily, Harley Quinn and Bruce Wayne had helped her.
One thing puzzled her, though: why was Harley Quinn here?
Selene looked up at Lynn and asked,
"Bruce, what's going on? Why is Harley Quinn here? Isn't she Joker's girlfriend?"
Why was Batman hanging around with Harley Quinn?
"You want to know what's going on?"
Seeing Selene's bewildered face and glistening eyes, Harley curled her lips into a grin.
"Selene, can't you tell? I'm his new girlfriend~"
As she spoke, she wrapped her pale, smooth arms around Lynn's right arm and nestled smugly against him.
Selene turned her head, her clear eyes fixed on the scene in disbelief.
"Seriously?"
She had only learned that Batman was Bruce Wayne two weeks ago. Their flirtation had already reached its final stage; all that remained was for her to confess her feelings.
Had Harley Quinn swooped in midway and stolen her man?
"What are you two babbling about?" Lynn frowned.
"Selene, why were you stuck in that hole in the wall?"
Selene parted her lips to answer, only for Lynn to cut her off.
"Never mind. Your answer wouldn't matter anyway." Lynn waved a hand dismissively.
It had nothing to do with his quest, so knowing wouldn't make any difference.
Selene: "..."
She stared at Lynn with her bright, watery eyes, looking deeply wronged.
Sure enough, men were all the same. Once they found someone new, they forgot the old flame!
"Mr. Wayne, it's a pleasure. I've heard so much about you ever since my days at the Lex Industries Group."
Logan was an overweight, round-faced man in his thirties with a full beard.
In Chengdu, he would probably have been considered the cream of the crop.
Unfortunately, this was Gotham.
"Mr. Logan, I've heard your name many times, too. I know a little about your story."
Lynn sat opposite Logan with his legs crossed, exchanging business pleasantries.
"Oh?"
Logan's eyes lit up upon hearing that an entrepreneur as famous as Bruce Wayne had heard of him.
"You've heard my story?"
"Of course. Who hasn't heard the story of Wolverine Logan and Deadpool?" Lynn raised an eyebrow.
Logan: "..."
So that was the story he meant.
He had thought the man at the helm of Wayne Enterprises had actually heard of a nobody like him.
So his interest was still in that comic-book character?
"Uh... Mr. Wayne, which aspect of this project did you want to discuss with me?"
Logan changed the subject, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere.
"It's fine. The project doesn't matter. Just sit here and wait a little," Lynn said.
He had only come to meet Logan and wait for the system to mark the quest complete so he could claim his reward. There was no need to discuss anything with him.
Bruce Wayne's words left Logan baffled.
Lucius had said Mr. Wayne thought highly of me and told me to have a good talk with him. Why was Mr. Wayne only asking me to sit and wait?
He stole a glance at Bruce Wayne, who was smiling and nodding at him.
Wait... did Bruce Wayne have that kind of taste?
This... this couldn't be right, could it?
Logan looked a short distance behind Lynn.
Harley Quinn and Selene were sitting at the desk, their fingers tapping away at Bruce Wayne's keyboard.
He had heard that Bruce Wayne was surrounded by countless beautiful women, and that certainly seemed true.
But why was he ignoring those two gorgeous women to sit in front of me with that lecherous smile?
The more Logan thought about it, the more convinced he became that Bruce Wayne was after his asshole.
Although he was a man who liked men, Bruce Wayne wasn't his type.
Lynn had no idea what Logan was thinking. He was simply waiting for the system to mark the quest complete and hand out his rewards.
Soon, blue system notifications appeared before him.

Finally finished that quest.
Lynn's eyes immediately lit up as he looked at the quest rewards.
Another weapon! I wonder how powerful this Salty Fish Thrust Sword is.
And this Forgetting Potion might let me farm certain things repeatedly later.
"Mr. Wayne, even if you use your money to coerce me, you can only have my body, not my soul!"
Just then, the restless Logan finally blurted out a sentence, interrupting Lynn's thoughts.
What the hell?
Lynn glanced at Logan, utterly bewildered.
"All right, you can go."
He waved a hand, stood up, and turned toward Harley Quinn and Selene.
Logan froze at the sight.
Huh? Didn't you like men?
Why were you suddenly telling me to leave?
Almost instantly, Logan's astonishing intellect kicked into gear, and a theory surfaced in his mind.
I get it. Mr. Wayne was playing hard to get.
He wanted me to go home and wait until I couldn't hold back
any longer, then sneak over to see him myself.
Logan thought to himself.
He's clearly a seasoned player. I can't let him fool me. I need to stay calm and make Mr. Wayne come to me.
Maybe I could even contact some media outlets and get them to put pressure on Mr. Wayne. That way, I'd keep the upper hand firmly in my grasp.
With that thought, Logan immediately bought a high-speed rail ticket out of Gotham.

This was his first BOSS quest since becoming a player. He wondered what rewards he would get.
