Ch. 26Do You Know How Fast a Normal Person's Blood Flows?

Shinji defeated Haku after the masked boy tried to draw him away from Mira Peng, then carried him back toward the fight between Hidan and Zabuza. Shinji left Haku unconscious and worried that Hidan might be in trouble.

  • Haku attacked Shinji with senbon, but Shinji blocked them with solidified blood and struck back with a poisoned Blood Manipulation technique.
  • Haku shielded himself with Ice Release: Ice Rock Dome, but several Blood Bullets wounded and poisoned him.
  • Shinji recognized Haku and suspected Zabuza had gone to attack Mira Peng while Hidan confronted him.
  • Shinji activated Flowing Red Scale, overwhelmed Haku at close range, and forced him to use Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals.
  • Shinji shattered Haku's ice mirrors, knocked him unconscious, and carried him back toward the fight with Hidan and Zabuza.

Ch. 27You've Already Been Cursed by Me

Hidan fought Zabuza while protecting Mira Peng, and after drawing Zabuza’s blood, he began his Death Controlling Possessed Blood ritual. Zabuza sensed that killing Hidan could put his own life at risk and stopped his attack, recalling the events that had driven him from Kirigakure.

  • Hidan fought Zabuza in the mist while Mira Peng survived under his protection.
  • Zabuza trapped Hidan with a water clone and severed one of his arms with the Kubikiribōchō.
  • Hidan cut Zabuza’s face, licked his blood from his blade, and began his ritual by drawing a triangle inside a circle.
  • Zabuza used the Hidden Mist Technique and Silent Killing Technique to attack Hidan from behind.
  • Zabuza stopped his killing blow after sensing that striking Hidan would lead to his own death, and he remembered fleeing Kirigakure.

Ch. 28So I Was the Extra One

Zabuza discovered that Hidan’s ritual ability reflected injuries onto him, then used a water dragon attack to break Hidan’s connection to the ritual circle. Shinji arrived carrying the gravely wounded Haku and offered to trade Haku’s life for Zabuza’s Kubikiribōchō, and Zabuza threw the sword into the air.

  • Zabuza cut Hidan and suffered an identical wound, then realized Hidan could transfer injuries to him.
  • Hidan stabbed his own legs and chest, while Zabuza guessed the ability depended on Hidan staying inside his ritual circle.
  • Zabuza struck Hidan with a Water Dragon Bullet Technique, knocking him away and breaking the injury transfer.
  • Shinji arrived carrying the poisoned and gravely wounded Haku as Zabuza and Hidan prepared to fight again.
  • Shinji offered to return Haku in exchange for the Kubikiribōchō, and Zabuza abruptly threw the sword into the air.

Ch. 29Cursed Tool Conversion

Shinji took Kubikiribōchō out of the fight, and Zabuza battled Hidan with a series of attacks that ended with both of them mortally wounded. Haku died beside Zabuza, while Hidan survived and the senbon in Haku's hand vanished.

  • Shinji caught Kubikiribōchō and learned that converting it into a cursed tool required 5,000 cursed soul points, then withdrew from the fight.
  • Zabuza armed himself with two samurai swords and fought Hidan, whose immortality let him withstand Zabuza's attacks.
  • Zabuza trapped Hidan in a Water Prison Technique, but an explosive tag detonated inside and injured them both.
  • Zabuza used the smoke to attack Hidan with a kunai, while Hidan stepped into the ritual symbol and caused Zabuza to suffer the same chest wound.
  • Haku rushed to Zabuza and died beside him; Hidan found that neither had a heartbeat, ended the ritual, and lay down to rest.
  • The senbon in Haku's hand vanished without anyone noticing.

Ch. 30Give Me Back That Touching Moment, You Bastard!

After Shinji and Hidan survived an assassination attempt, Mira Peng offered them help at his Manor, including treatment for Hidan. Shinji supported the injured Hidan on the way there, and their banter left Hidan angry despite the bond points he gained.

  • Mira Peng asked who had sent the attackers, and Shinji guessed they were still pursuing an uncanceled mission Gato had commissioned before his death.
  • Mira Peng offered to take Shinji and Hidan to his Manor for treatment and help check for active assassination missions, and Shinji asked him to arrange for Hidan's severed arm to be sewn back on.
  • Shinji retrieved Hidan's arm, offered to help him up, and supported him after Hidan fell when Shinji let go.
  • Hidan asked about Shinji's sword, and Shinji explained that it was Kubikiribōchō, a weapon of Kirigakure's Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
  • Shinji praised Hidan's ability to kill an opponent when given the chance, then added that Hidan could not kill him, prompting Hidan to threaten him.

Ch. 31The Journey Home

Shinji counted his gains after returning Hidan to Mira Peng’s estate, then learned that the two killers’ bodies had vanished. After Hidan recovered, Shinji and Hidan left by ship, while Zabuza and the boy caring for him remained hidden in the Land of Waves and vowed revenge.

  • Shinji’s Bond Points with Hidan rose to 401, and he considered converting Kubikiribōchō into a Cursed Tool but lacked enough Cursed Soul Points.
  • Mira Peng told Shinji that the two killers’ bodies had disappeared during transport, and Shinji said he would handle it.
  • Shinji spent the next days helping Hidan recover, but the tailor did not dare sew Hidan’s mouth shut.
  • Shinji proposed leaving, and Mira Peng let him and Hidan depart on a fully laden ship.
  • In a remote Land of Waves cabin, the boy fed medicine to the recovering Zabuza, who rejected the idea of living under new identities and vowed revenge on Hidan and the Jashin Cult.

Ch. 32Forging a Weapon

Twenty days after returning from the Land of Waves, Shinji secured permission to use the Jashin Cult’s materials to forge a weapon while Cult Leader Takihata grew wary of Hidan’s devotion. Shinji later inspected a completed Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe intended for Hidan, but the system gave no sign it could be converted into a Cursed Tool.

  • Shinji and Hidan returned to the Jashin Cult, where Cult Leader Takihata praised their mission and offered them a reward.
  • Hidan demanded better sacrifices, and Cult Leader Takihata promised him first claim on the next ten high-quality captives and permission to capture sacrifices himself.
  • Shinji asked Cult Leader Takihata to let him have a weapon forged, and Takihata allowed him to use materials from the cult’s treasury.
  • After returning to his routine, Shinji avoided Hidan, who eventually grew angry and went to pick a fight with him.
  • Shinji examined a newly forged Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe meant for Hidan, but the system showed no response to it.

Ch. 33What Scissors?

Shinji accidentally impaled Hidan with his newly made scythe, then dragged him through the base while joking and blaming him for the mess. After the Tailor stitched Hidan up, the group realized the scissors were missing and looked toward Hidan’s newly sewn belly.

  • Shinji tested his Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe and impaled Hidan when he sprang from the bushes.
  • Shinji blamed Hidan for startling him, then dragged him through the base while cultists mocked Hidan and complained about his blood on the floor.
  • Shinji brought Hidan to the infirmary, where the doctor called for a Tailor to repair his injuries.
  • The Tailor stitched Hidan’s wounds and asked for scissors to cut the thread.
  • The room fell silent as everyone realized the scissors appeared to be inside Hidan, whose gaze turned murderous.

Ch. 34Hidan, Daddy Will Support You for Life!

After surgery to remove the scissors from his belly, Hidan feared he could not get revenge on Shinji, who visited with a scythe and ended up giving it to him. Hidan accepted the gift, completing the second stage of their bond quest, while Shinji eagerly considered the newly unlocked third stage and its Domain Construction Scroll reward.

  • Doctors removed the scissors from Hidan’s belly and stitched him up, and Hidan began plotting revenge despite knowing he could not beat Shinji.
  • Shinji entered Hidan’s room carrying the Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe, startling him and making him suspect Shinji had come to attack him.
  • Shinji explained that the weapon was custom-made for Hidan and gave it to him, and Hidan excitedly tried swinging it.
  • Hidan gained bond points, completing stage two of the New Undying Duo quest and unlocking stage three for Shinji.
  • Shinji received 5,000 cursed soul points and a Jujutsu Enhancement Scroll, then left eager to pursue the next stage and its Domain Construction Scroll.

Ch. 35Jujutsu Enhancement Scroll

Shinji spent most of his cursed soul points turning the Kubikiribōchō into a cursed tool, then used a Jujutsu Enhancement Scroll to absorb extensive training experience with Blood Manipulation. The chapter ended with him recognizing the scroll as a major opportunity to develop his jujutsu and potentially create his own domain.

  • Shinji made one draw with 1,000 cursed soul points and received a single-use card that made its target trip on flat ground.
  • Shinji spent 5,000 cursed soul points to convert the Kubikiribōchō into a cursed tool with Soul Imprisonment and Cloak-Breaking Strike abilities.
  • Shinji opened the Jujutsu Enhancement Scroll and experienced another person's training and use of Blood Manipulation.
  • Shinji absorbed the experience and concluded that another scroll could help him comprehend and construct his own domain.

Ch. 36I Just Came to Test My Blade

Shinji used his years of Blood Manipulation experience to master the technique in his own body and develop his combat strength. He and Hidan set out to investigate missing sacrifices near the Land of Rain, and Shinji left Hidan behind to test his blade against attackers surrounding a princess’s sedan chair.

  • Shinji practiced Blood Manipulation in a secret room, then concealed the evidence before leaving.
  • Cult Leader Takihata sent Shinji and Hidan to find sacrifices and escorts who had vanished near the border of the Land of Rivers and the Land of Rain.
  • Shinji and Hidan traveled toward the disappearance site while Shinji hunted animals to test the Kubikiribōchō’s Seven Kill Lamps, but none lit up.
  • When they heard a battle ahead, Shinji went to test his blade while Hidan stayed behind.
  • Shinji found bandit samurai and rogue nomads attacking guards who were defending a princess’s sedan chair.

Ch. 37Cloak-Breaking Strike!

Shinji tested the Kubikiribōchō’s Seven Kill Lamps by slaughtering the bandits attacking a group of guards. After using [Cloak-Breaking Strike] to cut down their leader, he pursued and killed the fleeing survivors.

  • Shinji killed two bandits and confirmed that killing people lit the Seven Kill Lamps.
  • The bandits surrounded Shinji, but he cut down their attackers with the Kubikiribōchō.
  • After all seven lamps lit, Shinji used [Cloak-Breaking Strike] to appear behind the bandit leader and kill him.
  • The surviving bandits fled, and Shinji activated Flowing Red Scale to catch and slaughter them all.

Ch. 38Now, I'm the Boss

Shinji tested Kubikiribōchō’s new cursed abilities, then spared a princess and her guards after finishing his test-cutting. Back with Hidan, he reminded him who was boss by beating him into submission.

  • Shinji reviewed Kubikiribōchō’s Soul Imprisonment limits and observed that the blade regenerated after taking damage.
  • The princess ordered her guards to lower their weapons and offered Shinji a reward for saving them.
  • Shinji said the guards should thank the corpses, then left without harming the survivors.
  • The princess realized Shinji had come to test-cut with his blade and feared that she and the guards might have been his next targets.
  • Hidan challenged Shinji, who punched him and declared, “Now, I'm the boss!”

Ch. 39There Was a Monster

Shinji and Hidan investigated a ruined town where the Jashin Cult’s sacrifices had disappeared and found no one alive aboveground. They rescued an old man hiding in a cellar, who told them a man-eating monster had driven the survivors underground.

  • Shinji and Hidan reached the ruined town and noticed a strong smell of blood and no living people in sight.
  • Shinji searched the ruined houses and found a cellar entrance beneath scattered straw.
  • Hidan went into the cellar and discovered an old man close to death, and Shinji revived him with water.
  • The old man said a man-eating monster had killed many townspeople and forced the survivors to hide in cellars.
  • The old man explained that the survivors had cast him out as bait because they had little food.

Ch. 40Curse of the World's Will

Shinji and Hidan waited for a man-eating monster, then killed a Human-Faced Centipede that the system identified as a Grade 3 Cursed Spirit. Shinji realized that his arrival had changed the Naruto world and left worried that cursed spirits could spread and disrupt society.

  • Shinji and Hidan waited in the abandoned town for the monster but found no sign of it before sunset.
  • Hidan went to confront the old man, but returned alone after discovering that the man had fled.
  • Shinji and Hidan rested in a dilapidated house while a Human-Faced Centipede watched them from the rafters.
  • The Human-Faced Centipede attacked, and Shinji and Hidan killed it together with their weapons.
  • Shinji received 200 cursed soul points and realized the centipede was a Grade 3 Cursed Spirit.
  • Shinji connected the cursed spirits to the Curse of the World's Will and worried that they could spread throughout the world.

Ch. 41Johnny Arrives

Shinji realized the supposedly weak cursed spirit might be only one of several monsters trapping people in the area. In a cellar, a mother protected her daughter from a monster imitating her husband, but it found them through the wooden entrance.

  • Shinji suspected that stronger cursed spirits had wiped out the guards and trapped everyone in the area.
  • A starving mother and daughter waited in their cellar while the mother reassured the girl with a fairy tale about a hero.
  • A voice claiming to be the girl's father returned with food, but the mother recognized it as a monster because it failed their secret-code test.
  • The monster imitated a victim begging for help, but the mother kept her daughter from opening the cellar entrance.
  • The monster split the wooden board above the cellar and stared down at the mother and daughter, calling them food.

Ch. 42Splitting Up

A toad-like Grade 2 Cursed Spirit terrorized Runichi and her daughter with her husband's severed head, but Shinji killed it and hurried on to hunt more monsters. After learning he and Hidan could earn cursed soul points more efficiently by splitting up, Shinji began fighting alone and attacked two Big-Headed Monster Infants.

  • The toad-like Cursed Spirit broke into Runichi's cellar and used her husband's severed head to torment her and her daughter.
  • Shinji dropped into the cellar and killed the toad monster with a single slash, then left without speaking to Runichi.
  • Runichi took her daughter away from the unsafe cellar, while her daughter believed the Hero would defeat the monsters.
  • Shinji considered the cursed soul points he earned for exorcising spirits and learned that his bond with Hidan let him gain points from Hidan's kills.
  • Shinji and Hidan split up to hunt monsters separately, and Shinji cut down one Big-Headed Monster Infant before attacking the second.

Ch. 43Traitor to Humanity

Shinji watched a Blue Monster chase fleeing refugees while a Kusagakure ninja deliberately sabotaged them to feed the monsters’ appetite for despair. The Kusagakure ninja trapped a long-haired man, but the Blue Monster ignored him and charged at the long-haired man instead.

  • Shinji killed two Big-Headed Monster Infants and spotted a Blue Monster pursuing a group of refugees.
  • Shinji hid in the shadows, wary of fighting the enormous monster without his recently used technique.
  • A Kusagakure ninja kicked a refugee into the monster’s path and revealed that he had been sabotaging people to survive by stirring up fear and despair.
  • The Kusagakure ninja attacked a long-haired man with fire techniques, then restrained his foot with a Water Whip as the Blue Monster drew near.
  • The Blue Monster ignored the Kusagakure ninja and charged at the trapped long-haired man, leaving him shocked.

Ch. 44Blood Star Burst!

Shinji fought a powerful blue monster and survived its hidden poisoned-needle attack. He left the creature fatally wounded and destroyed its head with Blood Manipulation: Blood Star Burst.

  • Shinji cut off the blue monster’s forelimbs and hind legs, leaving it helpless on the ground.
  • The blue monster revealed that the brown fur on its back was a swarm of camouflaged furball monsters, which launched poisoned steel needles at Shinji.
  • Shinji activated Flowing Red Scale, expelled the needles and poison from his body, and stopped the bleeding.
  • Shinji sent Blood Manipulation: Blood Star Burst into the blue monster’s mouth, exploding its head and piercing many of the brown furball monsters.

Ch. 45A Windfall in One Go (Happy New Year, Everyone~)

Shinji slaughtered cursed spirits and people in the ruined town, building up cursed soul points and lighting the Seven Kill Lamps. He continued searching for monsters, intending to report the mission complete after killing them all.

  • Shinji killed one Grade 1 and twenty-three Grade 4 Cursed Spirits, raising his cursed soul points to 5,200.
  • Shinji doubled back and killed the hiding Kusagakure Ninja, then took his bloodstained Forehead Protector as evidence.
  • Shinji found two groups of desperate people fighting near a house where several women hid, but the groups joined forces to attack him.
  • Shinji killed more than a dozen attackers, lighting the Seven Kill Lamps and preparing to use Cloak-Breaking Strike.

Ch. 46Special Grade Cursed Spirit

Hidan became trapped in a shifting cave and was overwhelmed by a powerful Cursed Spirit. Shinji followed him inside, recognized the labyrinth as a pseudo-domain, and realized a Special Grade Cursed Spirit was waiting there.

  • Hidan slaughtered the lizard monsters and entered a cave whose entrance vanished behind him.
  • Hidan waited in the winding caves, but a four-eyed monster appeared, stole his Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe, and severed his arm.
  • The monster struck Hidan through a wall, broke several of his ribs, and sent his spinning scythe flying toward him.
  • Shinji tracked Hidan to the cave entrance, buried [Perfect Perfume] outside, and went in after him.
  • Shinji identified the shifting caves as a pseudo-domain created with massive Cursed Energy and concluded that a [Special Grade Cursed Spirit] was inside.

Ch. 47Domain

Shinji found Hidan captured by the special grade cursed spirit Greed and began a fight to rescue him. After activating Flowing Scarlet Scales: Load, Shinji landed a powerful blow, but Greed healed itself and counterattacked with a devastating blast.

  • Shinji confirmed that the space was a pseudo-domain without a cursed technique, then hurried through it to find Hidan.
  • Shinji found Greed holding Hidan's head while Hidan's dismembered body was mounted on a cave wall, and Hidan asked him to kill the cursed spirit.
  • Shinji accepted Hidan's quest to eliminate Greed and cut it into eighteen pieces, then activated Flowing Scarlet Scales: Load.
  • Greed pinned Hidan to the wall and rushed Shinji with the Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe, but Shinji reacted faster and crushed its chest with a punch.
  • Greed healed its chest with Reverse Cursed Technique and fired an orange-yellow blast that Shinji dodged.

Ch. 48Maximum Technique: Blood Deception!

Shinji fought the bald, four-eyed cursed spirit, using a surprise slash and Blood Blades to set up Blood Manipulation: Maximum Technique: Blood Deception. The wounded Shinji faced the spirit again and revealed his next attack, leaving its effect unknown.

  • The bald, four-eyed cursed spirit fired powerful blasts of compressed cursed energy, and Shinji dodged and endured them with the help of Flowing Scarlet Scales: Load and immortality.
  • Shinji used Cloak-Breaking Strike to split the spirit from its waist through its head, but it began regenerating because its core remained intact.
  • While the spirit healed, Shinji stabbed it repeatedly with eighteen Blood Blades made from blood bags and his own blood.
  • The spirit fused itself back together and punched Shinji through a wall, cracking the bones in his arms.
  • Shinji explained that the Blood Blades had turned to liquid and seeped into the spirit, then announced Blood Manipulation: Maximum Technique: Blood Deception.

Ch. 49I Said Eighteen Pieces-Not One Less!

Shinji used Blood Deception to cripple the bald, four-eyed cursed spirit, then cut him into exactly eighteen pieces. He returned to Hidan and pulverized the cursed spirit with Extreme Star Rockfall, leaving the threat apparently destroyed.

  • Shinji activated Blood Deception, causing the blood inside the bald, four-eyed cursed spirit to trigger a severe hemolytic reaction.
  • Shinji cut the weakened cursed spirit into eighteen pieces while counting each slash.
  • Shinji returned upstairs carrying the pieces, and Hidan celebrated his victory while demanding to be freed.
  • Shinji explained that Blood Deception was still draining the cursed spirit's cursed energy and that it would regenerate if he waited.
  • Shinji used Extreme Star Rockfall to turn the cursed spirit's pieces into spiked balls that collapsed and exploded into powder.

Ch. 50Worth the Trip

After defeating Special Grade Cursed Spirit-Greed, Shinji collected the mission rewards and recovered enough to put Hidan back together. He left with new cursed-energy insights and a reluctant, badly stitched companion.

  • Shinji exorcised Special Grade Cursed Spirit-Greed, earning 5,000 cursed soul points, and the spirit's innate domain dissolved.
  • Shinji checked his rewards, finding the Greedy Eyeball, 100 bond points, another 5,000 cursed soul points, and Black Flash.
  • Shinji studied the Black Flash insights, then got up feeling confident he could defeat the cursed spirit with his fists.
  • Shinji smacked and lectured Hidan, who blamed his defeat on the spirit stealing his weapon and ambushing him.
  • Shinji pried Hidan's body parts off the wall and stitched him together, while Hidan complained about the crooked, uneven repair.
