Ch. 307Evacuation

Shinji evacuated more than three thousand captives from the underground enclosures while sending Sasuke and Tamamo Hotaru to safety. He continued deeper into Black Mountain to find the special grade cursed spirit, but encountered a group of monsters instead.

  • Shinji ordered Tobi to take the exhausted Sasuke and Tamamo Hotaru out, and Tamamo Hotaru left Bright Moon with him as a light source.
  • Shinji and Hidan gathered green fluorite and used its glow to reach an enormous chamber holding more than three thousand captives.
  • Shinji and Hidan released the captives, and Shinji instructed Hidan to lead them out while he continued onward.
  • Shinji reached the place the Goat-Headed Monster had described but found no special grade cursed spirit there; a group of monsters blocked his way.

Ch. 308Human nature

Hidan tried to guide thousands of people through the dark with fluorite, but the crowd descended into a violent struggle over the light. As Hidan was killed by a boy who used the Dark Curse Technique, the evacuation remained in chaos.

  • Hidan distributed pieces of glowing fluorite to help the people find their way through the darkness.
  • A man stole a piece from a girl, and the crowd began fighting and scrambling for the fluorite.
  • Hidan killed people who tried to steal his fluorite, but the crowd panicked and scattered as the chaos worsened.
  • Hidan warned an apparently lost boy to hide, but the boy used the Dark Curse Technique: Cutting to kill him.

Ch. 309Five Senses Deprivation

Shinji returned to find Hidan hacked apart and a hidden special grade cursed spirit waiting to ambush them. The spirit revealed himself as Uxas, ruler of darkness, and trapped Shinji in a technique that deprived him of his senses.

  • Shinji killed the monsters but found no special grade cursed spirit, then hurried back after worrying it might have infiltrated the group Hidan escorted.
  • Shinji found Hidan in pieces and used the [Greedy Eyeball] to search for cursed spirits, but it detected nothing.
  • Hidan warned Shinji of an attacker behind him, and Shinji saw a boy whose shadow-based attacks shattered his Hexagonal Blood Crystal and wounded him.
  • Hidan explained that the boy had ambushed him, and the boy introduced himself as Uxas and offered to darkly modify Shinji and Hidan.
  • Shinji and Hidan rejected Uxas, who used Dark Curse Technique: Five Senses Deprivation and left Shinji unable to see, hear, smell, or feel.

Ch. 310A Close Call

Shinji broke Uxas’s five-sense technique with Cursed Speech, struck him with a Black Flash, and restored Hidan and himself. With Uxas vanished into the darkness and panicked people filling the area, Shinji considered whether to escape into the sunlight or wait for Tobi.

  • Shinji used Cursed Speech to restore his sight while Uxas dug into his chest and Hidan tried to distract the enemy.
  • Shinji landed a Black Flash on Uxas, then restored his remaining senses and healed himself and Hidan with Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Hidan took back the Bloody Triple-Bladed Scythe and vowed to attack Uxas, who had disappeared.
  • Shinji warned Hidan that Uxas could move through the darkness and considered leaving for sunlight or waiting for Tobi to return.

Ch. 311Moonlight Fox and Shadow Demon

Shinji and Hidan tried to escape Uxas’s black mist, which transformed nearby people into monsters, but Shinji discovered that moonlight weakened it. As Hidan left to carry out Shinji’s plan, Uxas summoned a shadow demon that Shinji fought, though the demon could not be destroyed while Uxas sustained it.

  • Shinji and Hidan decided to leave the crowd behind and focus on killing Uxas, but Uxas spread black mist between them and their exit.
  • The mist transformed people into monsters, and Shinji’s blood mist failed to stop it; he realized the mist had spared someone holding a glowing fluorite.
  • Shinji ordered Bright Moon to fire moonlight at the mist, which began to disperse, revealing that light was its weakness.
  • Shinji gave Hidan instructions, and Hidan ran off to carry them out as Uxas dispelled the mist and attacked Bright Moon with a shadow demon.
  • Shinji intercepted the demon with Kubikiribōchō and nearly hacked it apart, but realized it could not be killed while Uxas maintained the technique.

Ch. 312Leading to death

Uxas summoned an army of shadow ghosts, forcing Shinji and Bright Moon to fight desperately as Hidan blasted a hole in the wall to let in sunlight. Uxas answered by opening a dark vortex that began sucking in rocks and nearby people, leaving the battle in deadly peril.

  • Uxas summoned thirty shadow ghosts and ordered them to attack Shinji.
  • Shinji used Blood Manipulation: Star Rings to shred the ghosts, while Bright Moon's moonlight destroyed eleven before its energy ran out.
  • Bright Moon withdrew to recover, and Uxas sent the remaining shadow ghosts after Shinji.
  • Hidan detonated Explosive Tags in the wall, opening a hole that let sunlight in and drove the remaining shadow ghosts away.
  • Uxas used Dark Curse Technique: Dark Hole, creating a vortex that swallowed rocks and began pulling nearby people to their deaths.

Ch. 313Great Dark Heaven

Shinji trapped Uxas inside Blood-Red Doomsday, but Uxas revealed his own domain and began devouring Shinji’s. Outside, Hidan evacuated the survivors and waited with Tobi, unsure whether Shinji would emerge victorious.

  • Shinji used Domain Expansion: Blood-Red Doomsday to pull Uxas into his domain, while Hidan recovered and turned to evacuate the survivors.
  • Uxas explained that he wanted to transform Shinji into a powerful Dark General, but Shinji’s domain tore apart Uxas’s limbs and pierced his body with blood spikes.
  • Uxas survived as a shadow and unleashed Domain Expansion: Great Dark Heaven, whose many eyes began assimilating and consuming Shinji’s domain.
  • Hidan drove the remaining survivors out of the area as sunlight returned, then learned from Tobi that the glowing fluorite he had brought was no longer needed.
  • Hidan and Tobi waited outside because neither could enter Shinji’s domain, and Hidan could only hope Shinji was confident he could win.

Ch. 314The second domain

As Uxas's Great Dark Heaven domain overwhelmed Shinji's Blood-Red Doomsday, Shinji spent his savings to obtain a Domain Construction Scroll and build a second domain using Cursed Speech. He completed the construction as Uxas continued attacking, leaving the outcome seemingly decided in Shinji's favor.

  • Uxas's Great Dark Heaven domain eroded Shinji's Blood-Red Doomsday, while Shinji considered strengthening his domain or drawing for a second one.
  • Shinji sold cursed objects to raise his balance to 136,800 cursed soul points, then used eight ten-pulls to obtain the last Domain Fragments he needed.
  • Shinji combined ten Domain Fragments into a Domain Construction Scroll and spent another 30,000 cursed soul points to raise Cursed Speech's construction success rate to 100%.
  • Shinji began constructing his second domain while Uxas kept pressing his domain against Blood-Red Doomsday.
  • Shinji opened his eyes with a smile, and Uxas realized too late that the construction had completed.

Ch. 315Golden Scales

Shinji overwhelmed Uxas with his Light Cursed Realm and Golden Scales, stripping away Uxas’s powers until he surrendered. Shinji took one of Uxas’s eyes and tried to capture him, but the Cursed Spirit Master Ball spat Uxas back out because he resisted.

  • Shinji expanded his Three Thousand Cursed Realms and declared it a realm of light, forcing Uxas’s Great Dark Heaven to recede.
  • Uxas began summoning the Great Dark Sky Demon, but Shinji used Golden Scales to dispel Uxas’s domain and interrupt the summon.
  • Shinji used the Golden Scales to strip away Uxas’s Innate Jujutsu and remaining Cursed Energy, paying with his own abilities to balance the scales.
  • Uxas surrendered and offered Shinji anything in exchange for his life, so Shinji demanded one of his eyes.
  • Uxas gouged out his left eye and gave it to Shinji, who then tried to capture him with a Cursed Spirit Master Ball.
  • The Cursed Spirit Master Ball spat Uxas back out after he resisted capture.

Ch. 316Black-hearted

Shinji killed Uxas after escaping his attempt to enslave him, then claimed and sold the valuable Fox Immortal Order. He dismissed his domain, reunited with his allies, and learned Hidan had chased away the other intruders.

  • Uxas resisted being enslaved, so Shinji used Cursed Speech to destroy him and received cursed soul points and Domain Fragments.
  • Shinji found the Fox Immortal Order and Shadow Pocket beneath Uxas's corpse, then sold the order for 20,000 cursed soul points.
  • Shinji stored the remaining items and dismissed his domain after its heavy drain nearly exhausted him.
  • Tobi pretended to defend Shinji while hiding at a distance, and Shinji decided to punish him later.
  • Shinji told Hidan he had killed Uxas, and Hidan said he had chased away the people who had been in their way.

Ch. 317Boogie Woogie

After defeating Uxas, Shinji’s group left Black Mountain with his corpse and Tamamo Hotaru, who decided to stay with them while she remained in danger from Kumogakure. Shinji then acquired Boogie Woogie and its Maximum Technique, giving his group a new combat advantage.

  • With Uxas dead and the Curtain gone, Shinji’s group searched Black Mountain, took Uxas’s corpse, and reunited with Sasuke and his companion.
  • Tamamo Hotaru confirmed Bright Moon was unharmed, and Shinji deferred her debt while asking about the Fenglie Clan’s Boar God Order.
  • Tamamo Hotaru explained that the Boar God Order might be with Kumogakure, and she resolved to stay with Shinji’s group for safety.
  • After resting in a nearby village, Shinji combined his fragments and obtained a Random Innate Jujutsu Scroll and a Jujutsu Enhancement Scroll.
  • Shinji used the scrolls to gain Boogie Woogie and comprehend its Maximum Technique.

Ch. 318Negotiations

Shinji brought Uxas's corpse to the Underground Bounty Station for appraisal and negotiated with Old Eight over payment. After the station confirmed the corpse, Shinji offered to take some of its commissions in exchange for items rather than money.

  • Shinji met Old Eight at the Underground Bounty Station and handed over Uxas's corpse for appraisal.
  • Old Eight placed the corpse in a drawer with a scroll and said the appraisal would take no more than ten minutes.
  • Old Eight offered Shinji several commissions after word of the Jashin Cult's victory on Black Mountain spread.
  • Shinji reviewed the commissions and said he would accept some if he could choose payment in items instead of money.

Ch. 319Please, Try to Rip Me Off

Shinji negotiated with Old Eight and the Underground Bounty Station for the Boar God Order and future mission work, using Uxas's corpse as leverage. The station agreed to obtain the order and pay Shinji in cursed objects and money, while he left the corpse with them temporarily.

  • Shinji demanded the Boar God Order in exchange for Uxas's corpse and proposed receiving five cursed objects per commission.
  • Old Eight consulted his superiors, then offered to obtain the order and base future cooperation on Shinji's existing arrangement with Kirigakure.
  • Shinji rejected Old Eight's attempts to raise the price and threatened to take back the corpse if the station tried to fleece him.
  • Old Eight agreed to the trade, and Shinji left Uxas's corpse at the station while they finalized their partnership.
  • Shinji and Old Eight settled on at least one cursed object plus money per commission, with additional rewards for harder missions and valuable cursed spirit corpses.

Ch. 320At daggers drawn

Gentleman Man challenged Kongni to a five-minute fight, hoping to force her to join his Cursed Spirit organization. As their battle escalated, the Raikage chose to have Kumogakure attack the other Cursed Spirits while avoiding Kongni unless she threatened them.

  • Gentleman Man offered to let Kongni leave if he could not defeat her in five minutes, and Kongni accepted the challenge.
  • Gentleman Man released part of his suppression of Moqian and destroyed Kongni’s Lightning Dragon with his Antimatter Beam.
  • The Raikage and Kumogakure’s leaders watched the battle and weighed whether to ally with Kongni or wait for both sides to weaken.
  • The Raikage ordered his forces to focus on the other Cursed Spirits and told Killer B and Yugito Nii to fight at full strength.

Ch. 321A choice between two evils

Kongni unleashed her maximum technique against Mr. Enemy, but the Raikage’s forces and the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails intervened with a barrage of Tailed Beast Bombs. Mr. Enemy swallowed the attacks to protect his allies, which strengthened the sealed Moqian and left him torn between suppressing her and fighting his enemies.

  • Kongni, battered by Mr. Enemy’s black beams, rejected his demand to surrender and unleashed Myriad Thunders Annihilate the World.
  • The Two-Tails and the Eight-Tails struck Mr. Enemy with a Double Tailed Beast Bomb, then fired six more Tailed Beast Bombs in succession.
  • Mr. Enemy swallowed all six Tailed Beast Bombs, shocking the Kumogakure forces and prompting the Raikage to lead a charge.
  • Mr. Enemy began dry heaving as Moqian struggled inside him, forcing him to choose between containing her and facing Kongni and the charging humans.

Ch. 322A pyrrhic victory!

Moqian and Kongni refused to join either side and left as Mr. Enemy's cursed spirits fought Kumogakure's forces. Kumogakure claimed victory after Mr. Enemy escaped, but the battle cost both sides heavily and left the Raikage's army with devastating losses.

  • Mr. Enemy freed Moqian from the cursed egg and tried to recruit her, but she fled; Kongni also refused to join him or the humans and disappeared into the thunderclouds.
  • Mr. Enemy ordered Mahito, Saibote, and Hanami to attack Kumogakure's elite, led by the Raikage.
  • The battle lasted several hours, and Mr. Enemy escaped through a spatial rift with the grievously wounded Saibote and Mahito while Hanami died covering their retreat.
  • Kumogakure lost five Elite Ninja, suffered many Chunin casualties, and saw Yugito Nii gravely wounded; the Raikage nearly killed Mr. Enemy with taijutsu before Hanami's sacrifice enabled the escape.
  • The Raikage stopped his troops from destroying Hanami's corpse, ordered them to collect the bodies, and resolved to use their new intelligence against the cursed spirits in a future battle.

Ch. 323Well, This Is Awkward

Shinji and his companions traveled toward the Land of the Docks to investigate a string of actress deaths and the disappearance of earlier investigators. When a woman and two men staged a rescue scene on the road, Shinji saw through their ruse, and the woman finally revealed that she knew him as Demon God Akagi.

  • Shinji accepted the Bounty Station's commission to investigate the deaths and agreed to bring back the killer's corpse if the case warranted greater payment.
  • After hearing cries for help, Shinji sent Sasuke to investigate but told him not to intervene when he reported that two men were chasing a woman.
  • The woman ran into Shinji's arms and begged him for help, while the two men claimed she was an unfaithful wife.
  • Shinji called the woman a liar and shoved her toward the two men, leaving all three confused as their performance fell apart.
  • The woman dropped her act and addressed Shinji as Demon God Akagi.

Ch. 324Want to get stronger? (Next chapter will be a little late)

Black Widow tried to poison and capture Shinji, but Sasuke and Bright Moon killed her accomplices, and Sasuke later defeated her as she fled. After more than three months away from Konoha, Sasuke agreed to grow stronger, and Shinji began transforming the [Sharingan Wraith Soul] into a Mangekyō Sharingan.

  • Black Widow revealed herself and threatened Shinji with poison, ordering her two accomplices to attack the group.
  • Bright Moon killed one accomplice, and Sasuke killed the other with Chidori.
  • Shinji pretended to be dying from the poison, but Black Widow fled when the others ignored her threats.
  • Shinji sent Sasuke after Black Widow, who later returned dead after a difficult fight.
  • Shinji asked Sasuke if he wanted to get stronger, then activated the [Sharingan Wraith Soul] and began changing it into a Mangekyō Sharingan.

Ch. 325The abandoned quest

Shinji helped Sasuke awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, shocking Tobi and triggering a quest about Obito’s curiosity. Shinji abandoned the costly quest, transformed Sasuke’s Kusanagi Sword into a powerful cursed tool, and planned to give it to him when he woke.

  • Sasuke awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan with Shinji’s help, then collapsed unconscious.
  • Tobi questioned Shinji about the Mangekyō Sharingan, and Shinji credited the power to Lord Jashin.
  • Tobi’s curiosity triggered a quest requiring Shinji to give Obito the Sharingan Wraith Soul, but Shinji decided not to complete it.
  • Shinji took back Sasuke’s Kusanagi Sword and converted it into a cursed tool with five enhanced abilities.
  • Shinji decided to give Sasuke the converted sword after he woke and considered converting the Six Paths sacred treasures into cursed tools.

Ch. 326Another One Thoroughly Duped

Sasuke woke with his Mangekyō Sharingan awakened, and Shinji told him about its powers, its cost, and how it could evolve into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. Sasuke believed Itachi wanted his eyes and vowed to repay Shinji, while Shinji left him with a warning not to trust the answers he felt certain of.

  • Sasuke examined his newly awakened Mangekyō Sharingan, and Shinji warned him that overusing it could make him blind within a year.
  • Shinji claimed he had used Lord Jashin's power and sacrificed thirty years of his lifespan to help Sasuke awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.
  • Shinji explained that the Mangekyō Sharingan had special ocular techniques and could grant Susanoo, but its use steadily damaged the user's eyesight.
  • Shinji told Sasuke that replacing his eyes with another pair of Mangekyō Sharingan could create the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and prevent blindness.
  • Sasuke concluded that Itachi wanted his Mangekyō Sharingan, and Shinji warned him that the answers he trusted could be reversed.
