"Ahahaha, well, Mr. Ging told me he had an airship to catch. We'll be off now, Teach~"

Dio laughed awkwardly a few times, then suddenly reached out, grabbing at Ging beside him like lightning.

Whoosh!

With a nimble sidestep, Ging dodged Dio's grasp with perfect precision.

A wicked grin appeared on his face. "It doesn't matter whether I catch the airship. You can't ignore what your teacher says, kid."

Ging was no pushover who would let someone mess with him without reacting.

He could let the kid stealing his things earlier slide, since there had been no ill intent, but now that he had a chance to enjoy the show, he certainly wasn't going to pass it up.

You disloyal bastard!

Dio instantly began swearing up a storm inside. Ging had been the one holding him back from leaving earlier, yet the moment trouble came, Ging stabbed him in the back.

"Listen here-"

Cheadle took a deep breath, then suddenly glared at Ging and shouted, "You wandering idiot! Stop being a bad influence on my student!"

The wicked grin on Ging's face instantly froze.

He had forgotten that taking sides was a thing!

"I surrender."

Ging raised both hands without hesitation and retreated to the wall, looking utterly helpless.

This was exactly why Cheadle was so awful. Who could possibly put up with that mercurial temper of hers?

"Hehe-"

Dio's snickering suddenly reached his ears, instantly making Ging's eyes go flat. Speechless, he thought, Someone actually could-

"What are you laughing at?"

Naturally, Cheadle had heard Dio gloating too. Her eyebrows shot up, and she demanded angrily, "Feeling pretty proud of yourself, are you? You came back without even telling me! What kind of student does that?"

Her voice sounded loud, yet Dio felt there wasn't much conviction behind it.
