Mizaistom paid no attention to Kanzai's bewilderment.
He [did not want] Kanzai to understand what Dio was going to do.
Returning to his original principles, Mizaistom no longer held out much hope for the position of Vice-Chairman.
This was a difference in resolve.
To go to such extremes for a position of power and influence-Mizaistom admitted he could not do it.
Cheadle could not do it either, but Dio could.
So could Pariston.
What he wanted to do now was minimize all casualties in an extreme situation, whether Hunters or civilians.
And Kanzai was his ballast!
Mizaistom cast an almost imperceptible glance at Kanzai, who was scratching his head in frustration, and sighed inwardly.
If possible, I really hope it never comes to that.

Beside him, Kanzai suddenly shivered as he scratched his head, then looked around warily.
It felt as though someone was out to get him!
"That damned stinking rat! He must be cursing me behind my back!"
Kanzai was Kanzai. The moment he opened his mouth, out came the foul language.
Of course, there was another important point. If they did not want Kanzai to become a single-use tool, nothing could be allowed to happen to one other person!
"Dio, whatever happens, remember not to let anything happen to Cheadle."
Mizaistom gave him this solemn reminder.
Dio froze at his words. Why had he suddenly brought that up?
And why was Mizaistom telling him? Shouldn't he be saying that to Biscuit?
"Mizaistom, are you looking down on me, you brat? Looks like you want your bones loosened up!"
Biscuit suddenly darted out of the woods, glaring at Mizaistom
