Chapter 162: Disguise × Are you free? × Permission
A knock sounded at the door.
Joey and Kurapika stopped talking at the same time.
"It should be the First Prince's Guard Soldier."
This was hardly unexpected, because the First Prince had already announced over the public channel that he would dispatch his Guard Soldiers to all the princes.
Kurapika had also spoken to the visitor over the phone.
The First Prince's reason for dispatching his men was also partly connected to the near-total annihilation of the Fourteenth Prince's security team.
Normally, a prince's private soldiers could not serve as Royal Guards, but the private troops of Benjamin, the First Prince and Deputy Supreme Military Advisor, had that qualification.
"Although I can hide those six with Mirage, finding an opportunity to kill him would be safer. But he'll be a Nen user too, so we have to be careful."
After Kurapika spoke to the visitor, Joey had already worked out a countermeasure with him.
The six captured Guard Soldiers absolutely could not be exposed, or much of what was happening here would become known to outsiders.
In particular, Joey had used some of his abilities in front of those six.
Although non-users might not understand, Nen users should be able to figure some things out.
Letting that information get out would do Joey no good and could even invite attacks tailored to counter him.
Of course, he was not afraid, but that did not mean he liked trouble.
Besides, exposing those six meant they could not keep them restrained, or they might invite further trouble.
After all, the six had the numerical advantage and could easily twist the truth.
Actually, as far as Joey was concerned, since they had already gone this far, they might as well go all the way
